But my husband and me took 天立 to school on 31 Aug. Did we meet at that day? Are you the mami who were standing inside the class room and quiet near to Adrian?
Don't worry la, I think it'm not a must to hand-in. I believe Ms Poon just want the children to review 1-10 before teaching new things.

Oh yes. that's me! On aug 31, Adrian was scared and kept asking me to stay. Besides, parents were allowed to stay in the classroom in K1. that's why i stayed there until more and more students arrived.
btw, i haven't met you since aug 31. Are you a working mom?
I asked Adrian again and again this weekend. He finally admitted that Ms Poon has asked them to hand-in the '1-10'. Eventually, we handed in this morning.

As my son was also at Dorset last year, so we never met before. I'm a full time mami without domestic helper. My son go to school usually by nanny bus. So that I can have more time to do houseworks.

In the morning, I arrange my son to go to drawing, piano, PTH, Enopi lessons, one subject a day. For those active lessons, like swimming, taekwondo, I prefer to arrage on weekend or after school.
My nephews are going dancing lessons in "Shelly Lo" not "Shelly de mo??" in Hang Hau many years. But I don't know do they have morning class.

That's about 1 subject/activty a day. Is that too many for K2 child? Drawing, music, swimming seems to be very basic that almost most of children, especailly those KV students who lived near to me, are taking the same.
For preparing P1 interview, I heard some mamis would let the child to take interview class. How do you think? How's your plan of P1 for Nam-nam? I think you will be very busy on P1 issue and the new-born baby.
At the moment, I'm still on discussing stage with my hb whether should we consider "lucky draw".

My son didn't mention the star book. but my friend's daughter had brought the starbook home today. but i couldn't find it in my son's schoolbag. i think every class is different. I remember Ms Pong said the star book is for revision.
My son didn't mention the computer lesson either. i guess he doesn't understand or day-dreamed. But he brought back a pack of biscuits. he said only gd boys have. and he said everyone in 2I got one...
i don't know if we're behind. but do you realise our kids had 'dictation' last week? one chinese, one english and one math papers were found in their school from Tues to Thur. For chinese and english, they were pictures, not words. For math, they were about dominoes. my friend said their class had no dictation yet and she said our class is more advanced!!! believe it or not!

Yes, I got those three pieces of papers. At first, I just think that they are revision, like what my son brought back pieces of revision in the class before assessment in K1. After your remind, I think you should be corrected. As I recalled what Ms Pong mentioned in registration day that dictation will be held on Tue for Eng, Wed for Chi and Mon & Tue for mental. I got the pieces of paper like the same sequence. So that these revisions are probably dictation "rehersal".
I think PTH is a must, especailly for preparing P1, when if teaching chinese in PTH. But not sure, will any school do interview in PTH for P1?
However, some mons said that they will let their children to attend P1 interview class. I'm still thinking about it...

Last night, I asked Daniel whether Ms Pong asked to wrap the star book. He said yes and need to wrap all the homework books as well. Then Ms Pong will give sticker if they wrap the books....to pay safe, so I wrapped all books last mid-night.
One more thing, the new book "about myself" was distributed yesterday, Daniel said Ms Pong asked them to put the tick marks over the page numbers that means those pages are "taught already". Up to page 9 were taught already.

I asked Ms Pong today. She said she really prefers us to wrap the star bk and the vocab book (distributed later). But the other homework books are optionally. I wrapped them all up because Ms Pong said we could reuse the wrapper. sounds 幾環保.

That's so good you can help to get information from Ms Pong.
Do you all aware of the middle page and the last page of the chinese star book has some words? The words in the middle page is "big","chinese 1","small". Daniel said the "chinese 1" is not mean one, that is a dash punctuation, which means "big" opposite to "small".

Daniel is so smart! Adrian didn't tell me until Ms Pong mentioned today. I guess the kids will 做節 at K2I.
And thank you so much for telling me about the middle page of the star book. I only realised the front page and the back page. Never noticed the 'opposites' in the middle page! it's so amazing that the kids know how to copy words from the blackboard!!!

hi, it's nice to talk to K2I's parents here. My girl is 天藍, Audrey. She is in the banana team too. She seldom talked about her school life.
to my surprise, she mentioned about Summer (Tze Him), Adrian (Ming Heng), Daniel, Betty & Hoi Yu tonite.
Dandau, Tin Lam said that Daniel asked her whether she would like to sit next to him and Tin Lam answered yes. dunno what they are talking about?!
Marywmf, my younger son is also called Adrian, he is kentiville as well. As they can play together in the morning, i do not arrange any class for them during weekdays.
Long time no chat here. Just see that there was a picnic organsied by sunny again. you guys have fun on that day? sunny is a great organiser. what a pity to miss it. my girl was in the same class with sunny's boy in K1 so we joined once the picnic sunny organised.
maybe we can find some time to arrange a gathering too.

Yes, i'm a working mum and dont have much time to chat in the internet. My girl says she likes to play with adrian and hear adrian's voice. I let her see adrian's photo in this forum but she could not recognise him as he wore sunglasses.

Did you heard from your son that Ms Pong asked to write his name in english on a piece of paper and hand it to Ms Pong?
My son asked me to get him to do it once after school on last Friday. However, I forgot to do it with him over the weekend and didn't handed it yesterday. So I just get him done before rushing to the bus today.

My son is also day-dreaming in class...
I think boy's concentration is weaker than girl. I don't know what to do to help him improve it.

Long time no chat!
Dandau, your son is very smart ga la. It seems he knows a lot of things. Adrian received Daniel's Christmas card today. I was very impressed as Daniel wrote the card by himself. (my son only signs his name and i'll do the rest of the task!)
but i agree that boys' concentration is weaker than girls. sigh...
