Hi, 小兒被編入1M 班, 以後有機會做十二年同學, 希望大家的小朋友都能健康快樂地成長. 請多多指教.

May I know how to get to know which class the kids are in? I can't find any update in website.

I tried to call the school 5 minutes ago but no one answer.

Great. You know which class your daughter belongs to. Tomorrow is a first day for the Grade 1 students in PKC. Hope they can adopt and enjoy the new primary school life.

My silly girl wrongly read me the Class Name on the sample labels shown in the letter

ops:" /> ( as that "1A is the most prominent information in the letter) She even thought her class teacher is "Tom Chan" without reading the details.

haha......

She is actually in 1M class.

@poonjoanne I haven't heard anything about class teachers from my girl yet, I don't know if they've been told or she just simply can't remember with so many happenings on her first day of school. :)

My son told me that Ms Eva is his English teacher and "Lin" 老師 is his Math. teacher. But when I asked him about Chinese teacher, he said that he don't know. He also said that he is happy today because there are a lot of activities today such as watching cartoon(西遊記) in the hall, playing game with competition, doing some sport exericse .. etc

My girl just told me she watched some cartoon with a 'cool monkey' in it. She doesn't know that was "Journey to the West". ^^; She seems to enjoy her day also.

He only told me about the 西遊記 film, said both class teachers spoke wonderful Putonghua but one of them could also speak Cantonese and English, don't know which is which though

As I can remember, Teacher Eva mentioned in the seminar on 19/8 that she will only be the class teacher of Grade 1 but won't be the subject teacher. (According to the school website, she is one of the senior teachers)

BTW, my girl said there's a girl in the same class of hers in HK Children's Choir now in 1M class with her. She's happy to meet this girl.

BTW, as posted in another thread by another parent, the students are required to wear FOrmal Uniform on 31/8 & 1/9 for class photo & assembly.

Look forward to get the login for e-class so that we can get these information more directly.

Hi, all fans of baby kingdom. My girl is also in 1M. She said there hv more boys in the class. Don't sure whether she is true.
Per her, Teacher Eva is temporary English teacher only & will hv new one to join later but don't know when. Ms Lui is Putonghu teacher for both Chinese & Maths subjects.

She also said, hv 1 foreign girl who just speak English & 2 boys who just speak Chinese.

Ms Eva is a nice teacher. Today my boy didn't feel well in school and he wanted to take a rest. She acompanied and talked with him in the classroom when other students walked around to visit the school campus. Thank you Ms Eva!

yyeah... i did meet yr daughter in the story room yesterday, she is a black long hair girl, my daughter always plays with her and the french girl whos from other class! and she 'll continous the choir lesson on sunday, will u? so .... we can meet each other on next sunday! BTW.... My sweetie is ANKI..... How is yours'? NICE TO MEET !

my daughter said they'll take the new school bag on coming mon, i just wonder they can get it today .... but.....

@Reon - I guess the foreign girl your girl was referring to could be my girl, I'm not sure though. My girl's mixed race but she speaks Cantonese too. :)

Does anyone know when will the English textbook delivered to school? I have ordered it from the Commerical Press and staff said they will deliver the book to school when it is available.

hehee~ my daughter said there's a foreign girl in her class name start from A~~~, she sit at row 2, the only one with brown-gold col hair in our class! yr daughter is great, she can speak in cantonese as well.... my daughter claimed it's difficult to talk with other classmate accept the one next to her, cos the break wasn't be enough for eating and toilet time! hope they can have more communication on next week cos of the hole day learning!!
i was wonder how can i manage the book-packing without the new school bag, cos i haven't bought the extra school bag for her!!

on these few day, she'd just brought with the small bag instant of, but.... for hole-day pattern, books, lunch box,etc... i need to consider how......maybe buy the other bag!!

@MeiLuiMame - My daughter's name doesn't start with A, so your girl might be referring to someone else. :) I guess I'll let her use another bag for books and stuff on Monday, she said she'll get her schoolbag on Monday.

@baldheadcat - I think Matthew is talking about my girl, her name is Liberty. :) I haven't heard anything about the Math website thing, but she told me they need to bring some old clothes for the art class, possibly on the days they have art class? She didn't give me a specific time so I am not sure, I'll just let her bring some on Monday.

My son said they need to wear formal uniform and bring the PE uniform on Monday . They need to change the uniform in school.

On Tue need to bring the apron for art.
Today received time table that mention Monday with PE class and Tuesday with Arts class.
Anyone know is it correct or not ? If it correct, I need to let him to practice for change the uniform at home.

Yes, my boy said the same thing as you. I am also worry that if he can manage to change PE uniform by himeself. In fact he can get change by himself but when the cloth is inside out, he doesn't know how to handle it. Hence, he told me that he must be careful when he take off the cloth. Anyway, it is good chance for him to practice.

1M 班星期一有體育堂但又要着恤衫打呔影學生證相；

校務署話可以着運動衫返學，放恤衫同呔係書包入面（不用帶西褲）臨影相套上去就 OK，大家可以參考吓。

My boy said the meal in school is so few that he still feel hungry after lunch. Does your child has the same feeling or other comment for the meal provided from school?

my daughter claimed the lunch box is small, even compare with our own lunch box, she said she's the only one who bring with her own lunch... my lunch entree is small already, but she said the one booked from school is less then her

Hi, all IM mum. Don't sure whether the lunch box ordered at school is small but just surprised my daughter said she can finish entire lunch. Anyway, will check & share whether included fruit or desert later today.
Another surprised for me, just 5th day, few boys are fighting together during PE class yesterday. PE teacher punished them for standing. Plus, teacher said the girls is better than boys. Some boys are quite noisy, naughty & not compliance.
My girl told me 1 boy pushed her & don't say "sorry" then teacher asked him to apologize. Also, 1 naughty boy moved & sit beside her, she feel so annoying. Hope my girl can grow & solve problem by herself very soon.

Hi! My son can just finish the lunch box and has no complaints about the portion. Still no fruit / dessert today, my son asked the class teacher who had no idea. We called the catering company and they said the fruit / dessert was rotten today so it's not provided. They plan to provide extra portions in the next few days to compensate...

i saw it last week... it's a paper with their own drawing(their own picture), and my daughter did borrow 4 books on last friday, did yr sweetie borrowed the book to home for reading, if yes.... i think the card was kept by their teacher, but i'll confirm with my daughter when she wakes up!

Yes, I also saw it before. It is just paper and size is smaller than a name card. As I remember, it is so simple that the name is also written by himself. Anyway, he also borrowed some books from different day. But all of them are simplified Chinese ... only the picture attract him... since he like space shuttle very much.

Does anyone buy the big Chinese Dictionary and how much is it? When I bought books from the Commercial Press, only a small one (pocket size) was provided and it costs $136. In fact, in the textbook list, there is one item for Chinese Dictionary. It does not mention big or small.

It's very difficult to get some names out of Liberty ^^; But I managed to somehow.

Yan Yan
There might be more but she is not good with remembering names ^^; and she said there are 2 Nicole, but I'm not so sure. ^^;

Yes, and I know that there are 33 students in 1M class. As spoken by my son, they are separated in 4 groups and each group has a group leader who is responsible to distribute stationery within the group. He remember all the name in his group too.

@A-Mum I haven't checked those out yet but I guess I might subscribe to the English ones, I'm not sure though.

@punwt There's a notice in eclass saying the morning assembly will be cancel.

"Dear parents,
Cause of the H1N1, the monthly assembly of September (14th September,2009) will be cancel. All students can wear the school uniform as usual(NOT FORMAL UNIFORM).
