1. You can go to the website of HKEAA --> other exam--> music to check everything. Normally you can apply the exam around Feb to March for the exam session of Aug to Nov. There isn't any exam held in December.
It is very easy to apply for the exam. You can download the form online.

2. Music festival application should be started in late sept. Normally, schools would help you applying for the competition. The competition should be held in Feb or March.
