我覺得溜冰有些危險及是否一定現在(3歲)學呢? 這是我會考慮的因素....

Should be OK, my son is 3 and he has been taking summer skating lessons at both Festival Walk and Elements..... seems most kids in his class are in the same age group......

My daughter has been asking me to let her try ice skating since 2 years old. So, I will let her try this summer while she will turn 3 next month.

The only place which allows under 3 is the one inside Elements, I have checked all other places and the minimum is 3 years old. Will update you later after trying!

I would like to know more information about the skating course. Due to my son 3 1/2 years old, he likes use the soft toys walking around at home.

Is it in TaiKoo plaza?? How much??

我大女當年都係3歲開始學, 一路都無事, 同埋越細學越易學識.
細女未夠3歲我都同佢去玩, 佢玩兩次就已經可以自己係冰上面行la

都識3歲小朋友學中, mega box, 好開心, 幾堂已經可以識識地. 我都想幫阿仔試下去玩, 不過佢已經有好多樣暑假活動, 都要遲d先得.

我大女2歲多d開始玩, 一足3歲就正式跟教練學, 最初係mega box學因為有親子班, 不過學咗2,3個月另一對同學唔學, 逼住自組半私人發覺大女同個教練唔夾, 跟住轉咗去Elements同另一個小朋友組半私人, 一路到宜家so far幾好, 冇乜問題

我覺無須三歲一定要學因為他們太細重有溜冰會有一定的危險性!

my daughter will also learn at taikoo for summer course when she turns 3 next month. she always told me she wants to learn ice skating. so, i'll let her try. they'll be teaching in small group. hope she's ok w/ that.

my daughter's ice-skating lessons are conduct in English coz her Cantonese is not so good. Her coach is not native, but so far my daughter and her classmate (Japanese) are ok with the coach and they understand what they need to do. Also, I can see quite a number of foreign kids learn ice-skating in Elements even the coach is not native english speaker.

Thanks for your reply. My gal will turn 3 in mid sept and she has already indicated to me that she wants to learn ice-skating. I am thinking to put her in either Elements or Festival Walk for lessons.
Same as yours. My gal's cantonese is not good and that's why i am looking for an english speaking coach for her. are u satisfied with the coach teaching your kid ?? any recommendation?

The best age is between 4-8 picking up the beginner course. I highly recommend taking the private or semi-private for the beginner.I have experience with my 2 kids before and one was learning in a small group in summer, he didn't feel excitement to enjoy the game. However, I switched him and his brother learning in semi-private group last yr. Both of them can pick up very very well and they love skating and I can tell they do enjoy it very much. The difference is, the private tutor can spend more time with the kids and they can pick up the confidence on the ice!!

Hi Ian,

Shannon looks very different from last photo and she looks more mature now. I almost cannot recognise her.

I also go ice-skating with my daughter at Elements. As I know how to skate, I will play with her first until she acquires the basic skill and can skate by herself confidently. If I found that she's got the talent and enjoy skating, then I will consider to find her a coach. But for the time being, just for fun and we both enjoy it very much.

No, he skates in Festival Walk (Kln Tong) before and now at Elements (Kln station).

It is around $910 for 5 lessons at half an hour each, there is not a lot of ppl in the class, there were 5 ppl before, but starting last week, only 2 in the class.... so it's very good for value, as we're paying group lessons fees but taking semi-private class.......
