仔仔話習慣喎 ! 仔仔話未分班, 佢話似乎呢兩星期係根據姓氏既英文分班, 不過我就唔太肯定佢講既係唔係真.
至於分舍, 我個人估計可能會係八月家長日先知, 好似家長日可以見到仔仔既班主任...

以我所知顏寶玲初中應該唔係活動教學, 但仔仔開學至今功課唔算多, 每日有3-4樣左右, 可能仲係密月期, 整體仔仔讀得好開心...
英文水平唔錯, 不過係學校唔係時時要講英文, 除了中文同中史外, 所有科目都用英文教(包括體育), 中文係用普通話教, 中三會轉返用廣東話教..
顏寶玲第一輪同第二輪收生主要想選band 1學生, 仔仔第一輪收生落選咗, 最後係放榜嗰日去叩門先入到....
仔仔話學生如果功課唔識做, 放學後可留校問老師, 另外中英數都有拔尖補底班會(但暫時未開始, 可能要等test成績出咗先安排), 中一至中三要留校午餐, 可自己帶飯或訂餐....

咁我想了解下，我仔仔五年級下學期全級名次係68/148，係屬於Band1定Band2!喺六年級嘅時候，係咪盡量要考到全級三十名以內先係Band1組呢！

其實係唔係 BAND 1要視乎間小學既程度, 以我所知好多官小, 就算校內成績麻麻地, 係教育局都會計番學校既RANKING, 令小朋友係全港既排名推前咗好多, 相對會對選中一比較有利, 所以普通小學既學生好難入到官中, 不過以你仔仔既成績應該都有機會入顏寶玲, 記住操好D英文對答,INTERVIEW 仲會考英數既心算

多謝你嘅強心針，今日我都有出席開放日，我對呢間學校由外觀開始留意至今日嘅開放日都續步咁了解咗好多~有時都會睇下你哋所交流的心得。而我亦有問過一D學生以了解讀呢間學校的適應期，如果有D新生係喺S.1嘅時候英文比較差而要入輔導班，當升上S.2時就跟番個程度，所以英文係要浸淫一年就可以follow到！

我記得上年我個女interview時, 有若10多條問題(正確數字唔係好記得), 首先比張問題紙我個女係holl到study
吓(若10分鐘), 再入課室,入面有2個老師, 一個會問普通話,
一個會問英文, 我記得有數學題(好像有1題), 時事(嗰時剛
剛是衛絲日本藏毒), 佢地問她有何睇法? 另外問吓你個人
喜好,你對這間學校的意見及為什麼想讀呢?? 其他唔係好記
得啦!
2nd interview 是你1st round完成後即時比通告你的(我
相信是你已經過關了), 2nd是要見校長, 4個小朋友一組,
校長出一個問題, 你們論流作答(校長是有比機會每個小朋友的), 但有啲小朋友英文可能唔係咁好, 就唔出聲答, 咁
英文fit啲嘅小朋友就'唱'答, 結果點當然會好清楚啦!
所以先要操fit你小朋友的英文對答, 不好唔出聲, 答案唔
知都要答, 是但答一啲嘢, 其實個先生是要一個active啲

我打咗電話去學校問, 其實係一埸誤會, 學校話佢地下年收生人數不變, 依然收160人, 只不過係教署將160人當3班計, 實則學校內部會分5斑, 所以同上年一樣, 唔使擔心....

But the contents seem confusing coz. the invitation requires submission in person but the details page says that such can be submitted by other means. My kid is now studying at Kln Tong School, which is a private primary school.
Frankly speaking, I don't know much about NPL apart from the information they disclosed at the briefing cum open day and those we can find at their website. NPL, however, was recommended by my kid's teachers who mentioned that NPL wished to absorb more band 1 students in view of its recent achievements.
Luckily, my kid is within band 1.

She is studying in a traditional school in Kln Tong. We are referred by her C-fu to apply for NPL. This school is the first choice of all my family members. The school facilities are well-sufficient and also only English and Mandarin can be used in school. It's really a good place to develope my daughter's physical and academic developement. Moreover, it's quite near to my home. I think my daughter is the only one from her exisiting school to attend NPL. Thus, I look forward her to making friends with your daughter so that they can take care of each other!

Agreed.
My only concern is transportation as NPL isn't close to our home. We even can't go to school by bus cos. the time distance is over 45 mins. Yet to find out a more efficient way as NPL may not have school bus service.

Though we live quite near the school, I still want to offer a school bus for my daughter especially when she is in S1. Do you mind telling which district you live? I can ask the current school bus services provider if they can also provide services to me and you.

We live in Mei Foo currently. I wonder whether we can take West Rail to Hung Hom and then take minibus. But it's still not a fast route as compared with Bus route 6C. Too bad!

So is there any faster route from Hung Hom Station to NPL (except taxi)?? Somebody said that that the waiting time for that minibus route is quite long. I need to do a trial later on.

Suggest you could take the mini bus (Mei Foo to TKW) at Mei Foo bus terminus, it only takes 15 mins , your kid can get off at Ma Tau Wai Road.

Do you mean the "red vans"? I tried to drive from Mei Foo to NPL on Saturday morning. It still took around 20 mins even I chose the West Kln Corridor and Chatham Road route. Seems the "red vans" are speeding. Too dangerous for my kid.

The staff of NPL told me that there should be 4 school bus routes. One of them should cover Tsuen Wan, Mei Foo and Hung Hom. They shall provide information to parents by summer. The school bus operator shall then let the parents know the pick-up / drop-off points later on.

If I remember correctly, the teachers mentioned orientation / bridging courses in the briefing cum open day. Besides, when I completed the registration, the office staff told me that they would send something about summer activities to us later on. And, parents of NPL mentioned here that their kids joined similar courses before the start of new academic year.

My son was admitted in the 2nd round and we have to register by Apr 12th. My son is shy and quite absent-minded. I hope to make some parent friends so that I could help to remind him on school activities in future.
By the way, does anyone know if homework is posted in the school web-site? It will be very helpful if they do.

Hi ! Welcome to NPL family. The homework will not be listed on the web, however, class-monitor will write down the daily homework list on the whiteboard (it is not compulsory, it depends on class-teacher’s requirement).
For the major activities like sports day, exam etc, you can download the year calendar from the school web site. In addition, you will have chance to meet other parents like parent’s day (will be held before Sep), remember to seize the opportunity to know each others….
