We are about to send our girl to SMCS; however, we would like all respected mothers from senior students to help us sort out some concerns:

1. Is homework too much to an extent that family will not have leisure time during weekend

2. Is there reasonable opportunity in SMCS to train up one's confidence and social skills (it's still driven by our concern on the study pressure)

3. Would SMCS pressure too much to students to be not self expressive?

From my daughter's experience,

1) homework assignment is not demanding in P.1 (my girls can use 1 to 1.5 hours to complete the tasks throughout the year.

2) Eng/Chin dictation, about 3-4 times per month. I think it is good to let student revise what she learned. Actually, the dictation content will be announced at least 3-4 days in advance.

3) Students have to behave properly. The environment may shape them.

Generally, girls will enjoy P1. Take it easy.
