在戶外環境下運動,減低流感交义感染的風險。既有益健康,又可學習一項好的運動,鍛鍊身心靈的拼搏精神,體驗勝與負。讓他們早日走出來,認識廣闊的空間,和對生命的正確態度。

網球已有幾百年的歷史,最初在歐洲的僧侶和貴族中流行,發展下來,成為一種精英運動(Elite Sport) 。直至數十年前,隨着網球運動的普及和職業化,它續漸變成一種觀賞運動 (Spectator Sport) 。但網球並沒有失去它的「高尚」味道。我們仍可在網球運動中,學到很多書本以外的生命之道(或更應說是生存之道);這些道理包括:高尚的比賽情操,欣賞公平較量的胸懷,和控制自我情緒的能力。

網球是一種球速頗高的運動。要打好網球,學員須準確掌握各樣技巧,並在球場上很有信心的施展出來。故此網球員必須有良好的個人紀律(以學習和掌握技巧) 和心理質素(自信,自我肯定)。網球適合各種年齡參與,由5 歲至80 歲,都可享受網球之樂。

Why Level 1?  From ITF www.itftennis.com The best are Level 3, but most are working in private clubs (HK Jockey club, CRC, Clearwater bay club) and some are fultime from HKTA.  In addition, better find NTRP above 4.0 .
COACH PROFILE OF COMPETENCIES
LEVEL 1 COACHES COURSE
1. JOB DESCRIPTION
1.1. The coach works predominantly at club level.
1.2. He works mostly with juniors
1.3. He is able to do group and individual work with beginner to advanced beginner level
1.4. He probably runs the basic programmes (mini-tennis, starter tournaments, etc.).
1.5. Organises events and tournaments for beginner to advanced beginner level.
1.6. He should not be working independently with advanced players.
2. KNOWLEDGE
2.1. Technical: Knowledge of basic techniques that are appropriate to beginners or advanced
beginners.
2.2. Tactical: Knowledge of basic tactics that are appropriate to beginners or advanced beginners.
2.3. Diagnosis and correction: Ability to make simple diagnosis and correction of basic
techniques.
2.4. Teaching ability: Understanding how beginners or advanced beginners learn, how to conduct
a lesson, group or individual, using teaching aids and basic teaching styles, progressions,
correct use of demonstrations, correct use of enjoyment activity purpose in each lesson.
2.5. Organisation ability: Ability to organise safely any lesson with beginner to advanced beginner
players (leadership, space, group exercises, etc.).
2.6. Knowledge of tennis rules and basic tournament regulations.
2.7. Knowledge of basic elements of safety, fist aid, injury prevention.
2.8. Knowledge of basic elements of fitness as they relate to beginners and to advanced
beginners.
2.9. Psychology: Basic motivational techniques: ensuring success, optimal challenge, positive
feedback, performance v. outcome orientation, etc.
3. PLAYING LEVEL
3.1. Ability to rally with at least one competent stroke with the student to enable a practice.
3.2. Ability to demonstrate all of the basic techniques from an easy feed.
3.3. Ability to feed as appropriate to the situation.
4. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
4.1. Interest/enthusiasm in being a coach.
4.2. Good personality
4.3. Good basic communication skills (voice, body language, feedback, humour, language, etc.).
4.4. Good appearance.
4.5. Personal attitude (time keeping, reliable, interest in the students).
COACH PROFILE OF COMPETENCIES
LEVEL 2 COACHES COURSE
Level 2 - Coach Profile (07) 1
1. JOB DESCRIPTION
1.1 The coach works predominantly from club to national level.
1.2 He works mostly with good level tournament players.
1.3 He is able to do group and individual work with good level tournament players.
1.4 He is in charge of the overall programme in a club (tennis, fitness, competition, etc.)
1.5 He probably has coaches working for him.
1.6 He runs the advanced programmes (tournament players, training camps, etc.).
1.7 He takes teams to events and tournaments.
1.8 He plans the tournament players’ annual training and competitive programmes.
1.9 He is possibly a tutor for the level I courses.
2. KNOWLEDGE
2.1 Technical: Knowledge of advanced techniques (stroke production and movement) that are
appropriate for tournament players.
2.2 Tactical: Knowledge of advanced tactics that are appropriate for tournament players.
2.3 Adequate knowledge of the various levels of the game (national, junior international,
professional international).
2.4 Diagnosis and correction: has a detailed knowledge of diagnosis and correction (biomechanical
principles) which then allows them to make sound diagnosis and correction of advanced
techniques.
2.5 Teaching ability: Understanding of how tournament players perform, how to conduct an
advanced training session, group and individual, using advanced teaching styles, understanding
of the coaching process, progressions, correct use of advanced demonstrations, correct use of
the five game situations in each lesson through appropriate drills and exercises.
2.6 Organisation ability: Ability to organise safely any lesson with tournament players (leadership,
space, group exercises, etc.).
2.7 Knowledge of tennis rules and advanced tournament regulations.
2.8 Knowledge of advanced elements of safety, fist aid, injury prevention and basic physiology
concepts applied to tennis.
2.9 Knowledge of advanced elements of fitness as they relate to tournament players.
2.10 Psychology: Knowledge of mental training techniques that are appropriate for tournament
players.
2.11 Knowledge of periodisation principles including training and competitive aspects.
3. PLAYING LEVEL
3.1 Experienced tournament player at least at national level.
3.2 Ability to be a sparring partner with tournament players.
3.3 Ability to demonstrate all of the advanced techniques.
3.4 Ability to feed as appropriate to the situation.
4. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
4.1 Interest/enthusiasm in being an advanced coach. Quest for new information.
4.2 Good personality/motivator.
4.3 Good advanced communication skills (voice, body language, feedback, humour, language, etc.).
4.4 Good appearance/presence on the court (confident).
4.5 Professional attitude (time keeping, reliable, interest in the students).
