如果子女在 2010年9月前滿11歲，打算到英國政府中學升讀中一（Year 7) , 現在是時候考慮學校。

紀得在九月尾十月頭入申請表。

今年需要早些安排，因為金融海嘯，許多原本讀independent schools 的學生都申請轉到 state schools

成績較好中學今個學期已經2/3000人申請才收100學生
雖然教育局一定要給孩子派位，但心儀的學校滿額就要跌到最後志願

我想送個女去英國讀boarding school，要女校且嚴格那種，她現在讀band one school, 成績普通，請問你們是找British council 還是 agent, 如是後者，可否介紹好的agent 給我。thanks.

what sort of governmnet school would accept oversea student? or only for student with british citizenship?

State schools are only for

1) student with UK or EU passport (eg. Portuguese) or

2) student whose parents are working in the UK

If the mother holds a British Passport, the child may study in a state school only if he/she is living in the UK with his/her mother. And the child must be under 16 years old.

If the child has a British Passport, he/she may go to state school no matter his/her parents are living or working in the UK. And there is no requirement they must be taxpayer as children under 16 must go to school.

小朋友持英國護照，父母一直留港工作交香港稅。假如孩子獨自到英國讀三、四年中學，然後上英國的大學，他需要繳交本土生的大學學費，還是海外生的學費？

知唔知邊個國家的政府中學, 會接受不是當地區民的子女申請入讀 ?? 因我仔仔成績差, 在港一定讀唔上, 所以好想send 佢去外國, 目的只有一個, 就是浸英文, 而我又無$$比佢去外國讀私校, 聽聞有D學校會收 oversea student, 當然可能會是次一級的學校, 自己同仔仔條件都有限, 不可太苛求, 請指點迷津. Thanks.
