Dear Parents,

I have received the letter regarding the P1 parents' briefing session and would like to confirm with you that it contains the followings:

- circular to parents
- uniform order form
- sports shoes order form
- black leather shoes order form
- pay-in slip for the Sep school fee balance

I haven't received the textbooks order form. Did you got the same items as what I listed above?

The letter mentions that the pay-in slip should be returned to the school on August 1, so I assume it is deadline for school fee payment.

We may either return the pay-in slip copy to the school on 1 Aug 2009 or on 4 July 2009 (i.e. New P1 Parents' Briefing Day).

Hope you will receive good news from SMC right after 1 Aug 2009!

Also thanks to other parents, at least I know I may be lucky enough to hear some news from 4th July? or no later than early August?
Hope my daughter will be able to study with all of your kids in the coming term!

Don't give up! My daughter (now in P.1) was one of those who were on waiting list last year. She was finally accepted by SMC in early July 08.

Very sorry for my late reply.

The greatest progress that I've noticed is my daughter's English reading speed. With lots of distractions, she's now able to finish reading a Magic Tree House or a Rainbow Magic within a few hours ON HER OWN which I believe she should be able to finish it within an hour if she totally concentrates her mind on reading the book. For a stage 9 Oxford Reading Tree story book, she's able to finish it within half an hour. This progress may not be a big deal to some P.1 SMC students (as I know there're very bright P.1 SMC students who can command excellent and beautiful English), but this progress is really a significant progress for my daughter as comparing to her English reading speed when she was still in K.3. I'd say it's a giant leap for her.
