my son was assigned to a school which we didnt choose. we are in Net: 74......

the school we have to register now is a village school.....total classrooms are 6.....total students are less than 100!!.......

i dont think ur choices are worse than mine!!!
i dont really know how this computer lottery system works!

all i can do is wait....wait for the interview calls, letters,.......or a better school or a hope!!!

so, if those parents who still holding so many schools in their hands, pls release them to us!!!

we are from net 40 and we got the 10th choice. Really sad. I saw from another topic that your son is a mix child and should speak English very fluently, however, St. Margaret has rejected your application. I really don't know why. Have you checked with SMC and see what the reason is ? I have also applied SMC but is in under waiting list. I think the chance to get a seat is really small. Recently, I really don't knwo what to do....

i dont really know what we should do......i just know i'll try my best to "knock the door" tomorrow.......i 'll try to go to 5 schools to try my luck......

also, i'll go to a private school if all the above schools dont accept him.......

i really cant put him in that school......i know its gonna be a difficult way and need to spend more time and effort on that......

dont give up!!!
try ur best for ur son.....
i think my situation is more worse than u....at least u did write that choice!! the school they assigned us which we didnt choose and write on the form!i dont think the parents in my net will write that school though.......i think i was really BAD LUCK as i can say.......

GOOD LUCK TO US, hope we can find a school which is better than the one we have now!

我是於41的, 個女派左耀山, 此校根本無選過, 收到結果後直情0知點算, 覺得好無坐, 抽中d人就話制度公平, 抽唔中d人就話制度唔公平, 而家只可以怨自己運氣唔好.

hi ilyass-mom, I am also very bad luck. I just check with my son's kindergarten, his principal told me that there are 9 classmates who could go to the same school - their 1st choice, which is my first choice too. Some of them are the naughty boy...what I could comment is that my son and myself really don't have any luck. Also, you still got one private school to attend, but I don't. If I couldnot know the door successfully, I may need to go to this school. I really don't want to fill in this school in the form, but the good choices in my net is so small. Anyway, good luck to you and to me. Don't give up. The worse case is to "jump in" Primary 2 in the next year, but again need to prepare a lot during this whole year. The game can't be finished. Sad....

即使100%唔會讀呢間學校，明天最好還是先註冊了，以免到時真的找不到別的學校想改變主意也不能。

即使最壞情況下真的要入讀小一，下年仍可插班到別的心儀學校。即使註冊了，如可以找到更好的學校，祇需要到該校退學和取回註冊証，何不多留一條後路給自己？可能往後發覺該校未如先前想像般差也說不定？畢竟以後的事誰知道會怎樣？

多謝Thomas Dad 指教, 其實我有私小收, 但因為$$$$$始終係一個不能抹殺的問題, 如果有更好的津校收, 當然希望慳返的.

但我想假如我唔讀都去註冊, 會唔會阻礙有需要的同學呢?

但假如我唔去註冊, 一旦叩門成功, 係咪可以用呢張從未註冊的註冊証去叩門成功的新校註冊呢?

好頭痛呀!!!!

But my hus & I took my children to have buffet yesterday. We told the kids that we celebrated the allocation result with them. We hoped that they are always happy no matter what the result/future is.

I just read the post 親子王國 » 自由講場 » 讀書求什麼?? I ask myself if I lost myself at the time my kid is only 6 years' old, what would I do by the time she chooses secondary school & university and so on and so forth ...

I really have no confidence.

my case is exactly the same with u. I chose only 1 school in this net and then be disturbed to your school too. we decide to study in private school

you Must go for registration tomorrow.. and if you success on Knock Door Seat, you can get back the cert... school cannot refuse to give back the cert..

我係88網,得11間可以選,最後竟然派到第七志願！最令人懷疑既係,在認識的同學中,計埋我個仔10個只有3個派到第一志願其他七個全部派到第七以後的志願！取註冊表那日其他人也多是派到極不滿意的學校！我地都問到底係咪掉轉左？係8成派唔到呀！還是剛好那兩成都係88網呢！

這是一個策略問題,數字一定冇呃你,"例如我想個仔想讀喇沙,但我知道喇沙多人選,結果選了第三banding學校做第一志願,結果抽中咗,咁只代表策略上派到,但唔代表係派到好學校,呢三個跟本唔應該叫志願,應該只可以叫選擇,志願同選擇根本係兩回事,我志願做醫生,但結果選擇了做會計,80%成功,根本只代表策略上配合咗教局個機制

Did u go to "knock doors" today?
I went to 3 schools in Yuen Long    today and wait for the interview on next week.......
Actually, i dont have any private       school for back up....i also went       to a private school this morning.       Hope i can have some luck this       time!

Dont give up,try our best to find       a better school for our son.
Those parents who is holding a       private school seat and a govt seat, hope they can make the decision    ASAP so that they can release the place for us!

Coming 2 to 3 weeks, we'll have to prepare our son for the interviews. i dont want to give him too much pressure but .........the fact is we really dont want to study in the school they offered!!!Dont be too sad, just try our best. who knows maybe we'll have good news tomorrow or the day after tomorrow................

We are Net 41, only filled in Maryknoll. Haha, anyone heard of a school called TAISHING Primary school in Wong Tai sin?

I don't know anyone who has even heard of this school. Went to the website, looks nice, but they only had 13 seats, and haha, I got one for my daughter.

While, on the other hand, people I know OUT of Net 41, got Maryknoll on the second round. ???? How come ???

the school is many student live at 深圳,  i don't want my daughter becomes to china student ......

i already submit form to 3 school in yuen long , 1 school cfm have interview in next wed , and waiting repply  for the other 2 school ......

i didn't  go to tun yu to register, because i belive there have other school will accept my daughter, how about do u already go to register ??

we already went to some schools these days. u can try buddhist chan wing kan. its a new school n i think we'll have a great chance n place for my son as his kindergarten principal also suggested that. the other schools we went.....still have no reply and didnt even have interview yet!
next week, we'll have 4 interviews in Wing Yan...Delia primary school....etc.......

我仔仔35net 只有7間school, 仲要其中一間女校.

我地派左第5志願, 正正住隔鄰的仔仔都係中第5志願 (but which is our 6th choice). 我地冇私小位on hand.

呢幾日就向1-4th choice 叩門, 但如吾成功就讀住先. 想提提D mummy, take it easy, 呢個只係小朋友人生既小階段, 漫漫長路, 再吾係咪小二,小三插班law. 千其吾好似世界末日, 嚇親個小朋友吖!

我就諗住呢1年同阿仔努力, 爭取好D成績,今年吾得咪下年再叩, 我地要学習逆境自强MA

我在東華三院李賜豪拿到一個位, 所以我個女一定唔使係東涌讀, 只係我最心儀的嘉諾撒聖方濟各還未有聲氣面試.  我會繼續努力叩門, 即使今年唔得, 我會幫個女好好裝備自已, 待二年班時插班.

各位, 唔好放棄, 斷續努力叩門.  今日我亞囡做芭蕾舞同學媽咪話我知, 每年都有人叩門叩到8月31日才拿到心儀學位, 有些甚至9月中都還有叩門位轉校, 所以大家不要灰心.

The "knocking door seat" is very tight this yr. I worry no sea can be available at the end. If really like that, I think I will looking for seat in P2. But, this chance is quite difficult. The result is very outstanding can be considered by my famours school like as Marynoll, GH, Holy Family... right..

老實講, 一d實在太有名的學校, 如maryknoll, st. mary, st. stephen girls...等, 我真係諗都唔敢諗. 因為自己又唔係住該區, 又唔係舊生, 又唔係該校幼稚園生, 根本叩門無從入手, 簡依d學校盞浪費抽位chance. 所以我的目標都係一d低調的band 1學校.  我覺得Holy Family Canossian School 如果有機會面試, 而小朋友表現好的話, 係好有機會的. (我兩個表妹都係這學校舊生, 當年我表妹跨區抽到這校, 我舅母開心到差d擺幾圍慶祝.)

我去叩英皇書院同學會的原因係, 佢都算 Band 1 學校, 但因為校舍細同舊, 所以好似唔係好popular, 但佢地的師資係十分好的.  佢地100%老師係學士和有教育文憑.  100%老師pass哂語文基準試.  42%係碩士, 校長係博士, 亦是前教育局高官.

我最心儀嘉諾撒聖方濟各的原因, 是因為她校風淳樸, 有直屬中學, 對於12net的大熱 marymount, 我真係諗都冇諗過.

所以如果大家叩門, 除了叩"頂頂"大名的學校, 真係可以考慮一些低調d, 但師資優良的band 1 學校, 好好的幫助小朋友考好成績, 第二年再試插班.

無論最後結果係點, 係我心目中我個女都係band 1 學生, 那些名校唔收佢係學校損失.

你是否選必列者士街, 如佢無加地方, 校舍真係好細, 佢幾時開放日, 我都想返小學懷舊下。

我記得當年發生一件大事, 係校長佢 ....

You're not alone! I'm also one of disappointed parent in net41, 派了第4志願......

I have knock the door of 4 schools, but still wait for reply. So bad luck due to H1N1 that all interviews are cancelled/postponed. Need to wait , wait and wait.........

派得差的家長們請不要灰心. 如果現在沒有私小backup, 又或者基於任何原因必須要接受政府派給你,而你又不滿意的小學

. 你便應該好好為子女安排一下來年的培育計劃. 想想怎樣為小二插班叩門戰做好準備!! 我想小二的插班叩門戰才是真正的戰場, 因為那時的成功與否, 再不是憑運氣, 而是憑實力了! 我有一個朋友的小孩就是在被派去一間無填過的小學

完成小一, 再憑自己的實力考入了軒小的小二. 當然, 他的父母也是功不可沒, 因為他的小二插班叩門profile足足比他的小一叩門profile厚了一倍有多呢!!!

仍然係依個校舍, 以現時的標準, 真係又舊又細. 不過校長好好, 好nice, 我個女in完就同我講話要係度讀, 因為佢好鐘意個校長.

如果你心儀的學校未有聲氣面試, 你可以打電話問幾時開始面試, 仲要問埋係唔係每個人都有機會面試. 如果唔係一定有機會面試, 你都唔使灰心, 你可以再繼續寫信, 雖然你個profile已經好詳細, 冇乜可以再寫, 但係你可以返炒, 又許者加d資料, 如小朋友的功課. 我覺得要比學校見到個小朋友自己都好努力, 學校見到小朋友功課整潔端正, 就證明家長對小朋友嚴謹, 名校通常都鐘意嚴謹的家長.

我的dream school 已通知我去面試, 未收到通知前我真係食唔安訓唔落, 工作效率下降, 我老闆都慘不忍睹 (我老闆係英國人, 佢唔明我咁頻泊為乜). 但我真係差不多日日打電話問, 我甚至問有冇唯漏我個女.

不過, 我都抱平常心去面試, 我希望比校長見到我個女的真面目, 比校長衡量我個女適唔適合讀間學校, 因為我心目中的dream school, 或者都係我一廂情願.

總之唔好放棄, 亦唔好怕面"朦", 最起考到一間比你抽到那一間好的學校.

還有就係唔好比小朋友知道你好忐忑, 我個女一直都唔知發生乜事, 亦唔知自己將要讀那間學校, 我教個女面試時如果老師問佢抽到邊間學校, 我就叫佢話我唔知, 因為我覺得亞女知都冇意思, 大家都唔知最後讀邊間學校. 我亞女知道去面試, 就係去同唔學校的校長傾計, 好平常, 所以唔唔會亦唔識緊張.

嘉諾撒辦的學校比我感覺係校風淳樸, 小朋友乖巧些. 現今社會複雜, 我覺得校風重要過一切. 至於學術水平, 最好的和最差的都係差唔多, 因為資助學校都比教統局局限. 老實講小學和中學都係比小朋友打好基本功, 上大學先真正求學問.

Gov't should disclose only the 1st choice success rate. The so-called first 3 choices success % is meaningless.

Most famous schools are selected & are full under 1st choice allocation.

The 2nd choice and the later are not parent's desired, most parent choose non-famous school for 2nd choice. If they still choose famous schools in 2nd, they must lose chance. So, to my viewpoint, 2nd = 9th = 18th choice, no difference!

I am net 40 & got 3th choice, but still no happy, I still got this school if I put this school in 10th choice as I know that 1st not successful, that means all famous schools are not to be chosed by you, those seats are filled by 1st choice kids.

Lucky, my draught got a seat from private school for back up. But I still trying for govt school that no need to pay school fee.

Don't give up ! It only a start !
