What's the point in a 2-3.5 year old taking LESSONS in tennis?

Sure, one can buy the smallest size in tennis racket for the child, but LESSONS? For fun maybe.
Wouldn't lessons be a total waste of money for this age?

Proper tennis lessons shouldn't begin for a child before the child is 5 years old, tall enough and strong enough to hold a racket properly.
