Both SC will better than KV coz SC have NET teacher.

No PTH class in K1 but English is no problem. (even no NET)

For SC:you may try to get into PTH/Eng class. The medium is PTH and English (only) in class.

The English in Kentville is OK. Maybe St. Catherine is a bit better as they have a native speaker teacher, but I think the English is OK and acceptable. They have learned many vocab everyday.
For Mandarin, it is not a course, but only for interest. They will teach you to sing some Mandarin songs. It is funny.
They have homework everyday. Chinese, English and Math. The vocab is really enough.

Do you think the PTH/Eng class is more competitive than Cantonese/Eng one?

I'd say 'better than nothing'. After 3 years listening and communicating in PTH, I suppose it's easier for the kids (who study in the PTH/Eng classes) to adapt P.1 Chinese class (if PTH is the medium). We don't speak PTH at home but it seems my daughter's quite comfortable using it when she has the chance.

If you apply PTH/Eng class, your kid has to attend an interview in PTH as well as a normal interview. There are only 2 PTH/Eng classes in the morning section and 2 in the afternoon section for K1. Very competitive.

聽到d家長講kv冇正式普通話班but only interest, 咁每日都有教下抑或每星期先有一兩堂呢?
