因為LH對我嚟講太遠, 校車都無, 雖然對老師同校舍嘅印象唔錯~
另外, 以小兒目前嘅發展睇, 我地想揾間深d嘅學校, 老公對傳統名校好有興趣, 咁KM較合適~

小女八月出世，km收了上午，學之園要等5月先有面試，個人較喜歡km,與恐龍仔媽媽意見相反， km老師好nice,反而去過青衣學之園開放日，老師整体上好cool,兩間都係後起之秀，學費相近，可參考與屋企距離！

恕我直言, 我去晒三間學之園school visit, 青衣果間即使離我15分鐘車程我都無報, 校舍好唔得, 老師好"行". 反而西九同紅磡d老師同校舍都好好, 老師好好耐性.

the NET only teach during English class for am class in KM, but the NET of LH is staying 3 hours the whole time (same as KM's pm class).

I live in Sham Tseng, but will move out soon coz I don't want my baby to travel too long time to school. you should pay a visit the the Hampton LH, both the place and teachers are very nice, around 35-45 mins from Sham Tseng to get there by school bus.
is your baby going to KM's am or pm class? I'm still very headache

I live in Sham Tseng too. My girl is going to PN class of Victoria this Aug, actually we also apply KM and LH but interview will be held in May. Do you know is there any school bus to Olympics or KLN Tong, how much per month?
How do you compare LH and KM? Tsing Yi LH is really 'unacceptable'? Heard that the principle is smart and rate to good primary school is high.

oh, I live in bellagio, how about you?
if you have victoria on hand, then no need to worry too much for KM and LH la. there's school bus to the the Olympic LH, around 35-45 mins to get to school, $900 per month. there's school bus to kowloon tong as I can see downstairs. I have a friend live in OP and her girl is going to HKPS in kowloon tong, it takes 45 mins but not sure on the price.
you can go to TY LH to take a visit and see if you like it, I personally value the school's environment quite a lot, so maybe different from how you feel with both teachers and campus.

For me, my daughter enrols KM am session, I won't consider pm cos I want my daughter to expose more to Cantonese environment ! As you know, most K1 interviews are conducted in Cantonese, together with my daughter does not speak much and well right now (20 months la !) I hope she can speak more when studying in KM PN (am session) so as to perform better in k1 interviews !
When she gets a K1 place in my targetted schools, then I will provide her more chances to learn and speak english !

e, I didn't think of this point so didn't think of asking KM to switch to am class, but my girl can speak cantonese fairly well and we mostly talk to her in cantonese home, so I want her to try to pick up for English. your baby is just 20 months (0708?), still young, so don't worry about it.
are you worried that in case can't promote to K1 in KM? although will try for other kinders next year, still a bit worried in case got no where to go for K1 if pick KM...

thanks for your sharing. Actually I prefer ENG/PTH environment to trilingual (which Vic does), so I consider international class of KM and LH.

What is your dream primary school? Mine is Maryknoll, but I only get 15 points in 1st round, so have to look for lucky draw in the 2nd round!
I've heard about 70% of PN of KM can be promoted to K1 , a little disappointed la ! but, be honest, KM is not my dream kinder for K1-3, so never mind! keep on looking for better kinder!!

oh, you are really smart! yes, I'm moving over to kowloon city.
my dream primary school is St. Paul Convent, have applied spn but probably failed. 2nd choice is Scared Heart, will apply their kinder this year. I prefer DSS/private kind of traditional school like these coz the "quality" of students are more guaranteed. also these are "one dragon school" so can save me many troubles in the coming years. of course will try for Maryknoll if can't get in for the above 2 la.
so you confirm will go to KM? I'll pay the deposit this Sat first then decide later. just not sure if can switch my girl's life style to suit the pm class...

Your dreams sch are SPC and SH, then you will be busy moving houses la !!! I won't consider sch on HK Island unless I live there, but be honest, both SPC and SH are very good one-dragon schools!
Before applying KM, I did have 3 N1 places in 3 kinders in Tsuen Wan/Tsing Yi and already paid $660 for each! KM will be the last sch to pay for $600!
I have no plan to let my daughter study N1 in Kln before, so just applied N1 nearby, but later heard from my friends that KM is very good ....
Do you have another N1 offers better then KM?
Also you are thinking of am or pm session of KM?
Besides hoping my daughter can speak more Cantonese in N1, another reason for not considering pm is that : I am afraid my daughter cannot adapt to eng and putonghua learning environment, I wish she likes going to school and enjoys sch life at the very beginning.....that's for my case, am session is good for her as all family members (+ helper) speak cantonese, she is so familiar with cantonese! Also, my friends, teaching english, said that kids can learn second language well if you can provide a language environment for her, so it is not too late to learn english/putonghua when she is 2-3 years old!

haha, both SPC and SH are not easy to get in, so no need to bother moving unless I actually receive the acceptance letter la. will definitely try for other kinders for k1 in kowloon side, just there's not much "one dragon school" on the kowloon side, except PC, even HY and St. Rose need to go thru the lucky draw as they are gov't aided.
what other schools did you apply? I applied 8 schools including 2 LH, KM is the first one i get offer from officially. still struggling between KM and LH. I called KM to ask if there's chance to swith to am class, they said I need to write to the principal and won't know until the very late stage of registration (after buying books.. etc). did you say "no" on the last question of their questionnaire?

For my case, my daughter got a place in Creative(Tsing YI), then Tsuen Wan Luk Yeung and Tsuen Wan Canan......I don't know how my daughter would perform during interviews of other kinders, so I paid 660 to make sure a seat one by one! WOW, let's count, 660X 3, I've paid 2k for registration la !
I also applied LH Tsing Yi, but being small B, be interviewed in late May, has been definitey placed on waiting list, so I won't consider LH la !
As I know, the results of LH have already be released, how come you still struggle between KM and LH, yours is also small BB?
I wrote "no" on KM questionaire when asking the preference of pm session, if you want am session, write to Principal la! or see if anyone on BK would like to swap with you, i think it will be easier to shift !
Before KM, my offer in Tsuen Wan Luk Yeung is pm, I have to queue up for 2 hours to get a place on waiting list to am, I once thought no hope to shift to am, but at last, 2 months later, I was told I could shift to am ......so don't miss any chance if you've made up your mind!

They wrote sth as " for N1, they have priority to be promoted to K1 without application again...."
I think I will ask the KM staff to clarify on orientation day later !

we also applied Luk Yeung, but waiting list only, after the incident with Luk Yeung, glad that we are on waiting list coz at least won't need to waste $$ for registration. as we were on waiting list for 5 schools interviewed, so I called TY Creative for application by mid-March, as I applied the more "reknown" schools only except for Luk Yeung as it's close from home. TY Creative asked me to interview very quickly, but I told them I was out of town to delay the interview in order to wait for the interview results of KM and LH, then can save $$ to pay. hehe, luckily that we got accepted finally
we also got offer from LH (Hampton, not TY), so struggling what to choose now. most of my HK based friend asked me to pick KM, but then my friends back from canada asked me to pick LH as the exposure will be bigger, so a difficult choice.

Can you share the information of the school bus, as I live in Ting Kau, I found it is very difficult to find the school bus from Victorea Homantin to my home. Therefore I need to choice Shem Tseng the near location of my home to drop my girl. Do you have any school bus company willing to pick up the toddlers at PM sesstion from Victoria to Ting Kau / Shem Tseng / Lai Shing

my daughter's name is Michelle, I think there is a chance to arrange yours and mine into the same class as their dates of birth are close!
You plan to move ? it's great to have a better school net in future, but lots of my colleauges' kids go to school (from K1 to P6) in Kln Tong, but they still live Taipo, Fanling. They said it doens't take much time to travel, but it is the case of 保姆車，
school bus may be longer!

Of course, I will go to the interview of LH coz I've paid $30 fee, just give my kid a chance to face strangers!
You are struggling between LH and KM, just provide you some info for reference!
1. my friend said KM is good, primary allocation is good, and his son studied PN in KM, then K1 in SC and now K2 in CCKG
2. Heard from other BK mami, most Kln tong primary schools do know KM, but not LH or HKPS
3. compared the primary allocation , KM is better than LH (Tsing YI)

yes, i do value quite a lot for outdoor playground, if just talking about indoor, LH is bigger and cleaner. most people also asked me to pick KM, but primary school allocation is depends on your home address instead of school's add. if talking about DSS/private school, LH's hit rate to TCL and CKY is much better than KM from the allocation results of both school's web, so very headache.
no la, my girl is shy in front of strangers, but the teachers of LH (Hampton) are very very nice, they guided her patiently, so she could complete the tasks well, but my friend went to TY's campus, she told me the teachers there are cool though. we also applied Luk Yeung, but waiting list only ja

Hi, mama"s" in Sham Tseng, I live in Sham Tseng too. My daughter was bornt last year. I'm planning to apply for pre-nursery in coming sep/oct and hopefully she'll be enrolled next year. The major problem is she's my first child and I know nothing about the nursery/kinder in TW/ TY/ KLN. Can you give me some hints? How should I choose school? when should i take action? which schools are good?

you need to know what you are looking for first?
distance? then look for schools in Tsuen Wan or Tsing Yi
better path for k1? then Kowloon Tong
personally would not recommend PIPS and Luk Yeung kinder.

you can consider TY and Hampton Loft LH (west kowloon) instead of Hung Hung. the environment and teachers of Hampton are very nice, you can call for a visit before you send the application. it takes 35 mins by school bus for pm class, 45 mins for am class.

bear in mind 35 mins is for pm class, someone told me they need to go downstairs from bellagio to Hampton LH by 8:15. not sure if students talk to each other in English or not, but there's a NET in each class throughout the 3 hours school time. of course you can't really compare it with the international school's students. if you prefer whole English environment, you can consider ESF at TY but then no chinese...

you can try Yew Chung or Woodland, but YC has local and international stream, you need to check if they have international stream for pre-nusery. and don't stay there for k if you plan to go for IS as my friends told me they are 英唔夠英, 中又唔夠中.

some of the neighbours let their kids going to PIPS, they told me the teachers can't handle all the crying kids when they first join the school, so end up some kids went out of the classroom but they didn't notice. one of my neighbour's boy get hurt, the whole pat pat is 瘀晒, the teachers didn't know too. another girl kept asking for mammy, then the teachers lied to her if she wore the school bag, her mom would come soon, so she was wearing the school bag throughout all 3 hours school time for almost a month's time. the parents have requested the school to provide soap for the kids to wash hands after toileting, but the principal told them the school is clean enough and the kids won't touch the toilet seat so there's no need to provide soap
just these 2 incidents is scaring enough to me so I didn't pay deposit.

我問過一個小朋友讀緊ge朋友, 係真有其事架~

it's the one in Sham Tseng with voucher, not the one in HK Island and Kowloon Station

Luk Yeung's management is making all existing K3 students to pm class in order to free more classroom for pn class (which the school fee is more expensive), their vice principal even replied on bk and made some very bad comments on a mother particularly, personally can't agree with any school acting like this, you can take a look

batpist doens't have pn class, you can apply for k1.

Thx for sharing. I'll definitely stay away from this kinder. It's really difficult to choose a decent school. Another problem is my daughter was bornt in Oct 08, I guess she is unlikely to be enrolled in Sep 2010 and the chance of 插班 is always rare.

YC will not be my choice for definately because as I said I am looking pure English enviroment for my daughter PN. Therefore, I will not conisder YC. If Iconsider YC, I will definately consider LH at Olympic indeed.
Worst to the worst...I think I will let my daughter stay back at Anfield for her PN. She is doing her playgroup there since she was 1 year old. Both me and my husband are happy with her progress and the most important thing is she is so happy in that school.

you can try Yew Chung or Woodland, but YC has local and international stream, you need to check if they have international stream for pre-nusery. and don't stay there for k if you plan to go for IS ...

don't worry, there's school bus running between sham tseng and kowloon tong, but be prepared it's a bit early, need to be downstairs by around 8:10
