兒子有自閉傾向及語言障礙，成積band 3,中英文更慘不忍睹。其他問題不大，無情緒及行為問題，和一般小孩無異。有好一點的直資學校肯收嗎? 我不想他去一些band 3學校學壞,成績差之外再添煩惱。

In fact, even those DSS emphasizes "love" and "caring" are very realistic and practical in admitting students. So, just try your best.

But a little tip for you: In your "big lucky-draw" for subsidized schools, place Band 2 BOY schools at top priority. If you get a good number then you may be admitted. (Because girls usually have better academic performance, esp. at primary education.) Good luck to you.

很多謝你的意見!我認定了兒子必派band 3,也沒想過這點。
最近上網看過很多資料，多數學校都強調語文和溝通能力，偏偏他就有這種障礙，要他和所有人排同一條隊，我覺得有點不公平。他又不是無心向學，我們都已經很努力了........

但萬一派得不滿意，才報其他學校會否太遲呢?

Yes, so just try to select some DSSs for application (to show your sincerity). but don't give yourself and your son too much pressure and false hope esp at the first round admittance. In case the lucky draw is not good then try knocking door for those schools you have applied before (you may have better chance if they have not filled up all the places by July. )

However, today, many DSSs stress more on academic /non-academic performance and are more market-oriented because of the market competition. Hence, they may not be better than ordinary subsidsized schools for your son's needs.

will you consider Fortress Hill Methodist School, it is a school for students with special needs. They aim at provide vocational training, my son also studies there right now
