this - 單数和近的
That - 單数和遠的
These - 眾数近的
Those - 眾数遠的

其實可以咁解:
this 同 these 係一pair , 而that 同 those 係另一pair.

當我地講緊係 [近] 既野果陣, 用 this/these
中文係 "呢個"
而 [單數]用this; [眾數]用these
e.g. This is my pen.
   These boys are very clever.

當我地講緊係 [遠] 既野果陣, 用 that/those
中文係"果個"
而 [單數]用that; [眾數]用those
e.g  That is my mum.
   Those are my frineds.

當然呢D字仲有其他解法啦,
好似THAT咁, 要黎代替句中名詞又得,
要睇上文同下理...
