Dear all parents,

would like to know what is the diff. of grades between different International school are called :-

In SIS : they called from Preparatory Year 1, 2, Primary 1 to 6.

In AIS or ICS: They called from Receiption 1, 2 , Primary 1 to grade 5.

IN ESF : they called from Year 1 ... etc

any comment is highly appreciated. Thanks.

其実一般入学都是以年齢計算的、看看各学校之ＨＯＭＥＰＡＧＥ、以年齢看是否適合自己小朋友入学、不是更容易？

yes, understood.
something i don't understand is my daughter is born in Year 2004. When i applied ESF, it called her to apply for Year 1. But when i applied SIS, it called her to apply for PY2.

Any clarification is appreciated.

As far as I understand :

UK system such as ESF, GSIS, CIS : Yr/P.1 at age of 5.
US system such as ICS, CDNIS, HKIS ? : Grade 1 at age of 6.

Pls note the cutoff date to count which year is different for each school. ESF cut off at Dec 31, but other like ICS may cut off at Aug 31.
