Dear mummies,
anyone here get kids interviewd for SIS PY1? we went there yesterday, the teacher has no communication with parents leh... when the result will be released? via post? thanks!

would like to know PY1 is equal to K2 or K3 ??
Then, how about PY2, is it equal to Year 1 what called by ESF ?
your advice would be highly appreciated. thanks.

PY1 is equivalent to K2 in the local system and PY2 K3. My daughter is now in PY2 and my son went for the PY1 interview yesterday. The results would usually come out two weeks later. Good luck to everyone.

thanks, just feel a little bit disappointed that there is no communication with the parents completely~~i expect the teacher at least tell me that u can go off after the interview...

Yes, i have the same feeling liked you.
they just left my daughter back to classroom and never tell me to leave until i asked them.
no matter what's. understood SIS is a good school.

Do you mind to advise when should I apply for my son? He's 16 months now and I'm not sure if I can "queue up" now.

Hi,

There is no need to 'queue up'. You simply need to apply in the year before the year when he would join PY1. Their acceptance is not based on first-come-first-serve basis. The cut-off month for age is December, so as long as your son has attained the right age, you can apply for him.

Hi,
my son joined interview for PY1 last wk.. parents waited in a room while kids are led by a teacher to another room, so i dunno what is happening inside :)
i asked my son, he told me there are 3 parts:
1) follow teacher's instruction to pick up some balls using orange clip;
2) tell a story;
3) solve a dot-to-dot math worksheet...

well that is a 4yr old can tell me lah :)

according to what i heard, SG passport holder shld hv some priority, i not sure abt MY passport holders...

i did contact the office to ask about the date when the result would be released and was told that it would be around middle of March becos admission tests were still going on recently. Don't worry.

i just get the offer letter today, it was dated on 27th of Feb.
it states that we need to do the registration on 12th of March.
