你地諗住點番學呀? 我諗住搭的士或者保母車呀. 有無人有興趣一齊搭的士或自組保母車線呀?

I have searched through some old threads here and find some contacts for nanny bus. Don't wanna suggest anyone specific otherwise become advertising for others!

I think your daughter is in the same class as my daughter right? My wife is thinking taking MTR to Hong Kong station then take the taxi everyday. The other option will be the nanny bus. One of them I contacted has told me they just started last year for SHCK students only and for PM class from Kowloon West. However, they don't have many students taking it now so it is rather expensive. If we can gather more people, the costs should drop.

Let's see if we can manage to arrange more of us taking that route!

iantsang, tks for your information. i also tried to retrieve some old links but one nanny bus told me that they could only take the kids back to school at 1215pm, together with the primarys school students....since i am still thinking if i will take up the offer, so, let's try to gather up more parents later on!

I am not sure but I chose PM myself since I cannot imagine how we can wake my daughter up so early to go to SHCK's AM class. It's way too early!

Thanks kiteli, the nanny bus I mentioned before is Mrs. Cheung also. She has another route taking west harbour tunnel so this will be better for us on the west side of Kowloon.

I've called Mrs Cheung. She's going to arrange a route (for AM session starting from Sept 09) running from Mei Foo -> Kowloon Tong (Yau Yat Chuen) -> Hunghom -> Hunghom Cross Habour Tunnel -> School

Fee will be $2,000+

She said she could also pick up students from Tsuen Wan / Tsing Yi before going to Mei Foo

Hi Sindy,

I have asked for you. If we can have the bus full (12 children), then should be able to drop down to around HKD 1,600 to 1,800. The reason it is more expensive than others is because they will use Western Harbour Tunnel for both trips and it is more expensive.

Let's try to gather everyone interested first and then we can try to make a better bargain with more people.

can you please count me in ? my daughter is studying in SHCK NC am and we live in Tsing Yi. We would like her to take nanny bus in the coming school term in 9/09. You live in Olympic Station ? If so, we can form a route, Tsing Yi --> Olympic City --> Kowloon Station (through Western Tunnel) --> SHCK. There may have 2 more little girls (my daughter's buddies) live in Olypmic City who might want to join - I will check with them. If we have 6 kids, the nanny bus should be able to form this SHORT route and I guess the earlier stop from Tsing Yi would depart at 7:30 am. As for the school bus fee, as long as it is not over HK$2,000, is fine with me.

Hi 薳然媽媽,

I also live in Tsing Yi but as I consider we live so far away, I applied for PM session to avoid getting up so early. So, I am helping to coordinate with others attending PM classes also, and the route will likely be Tsing Yi --> Olympic Station --> Kowloon station --> SHCK.

As I heard from Mrs. Cheung, she said she will open a route to help SHCK am students also in the coming year. Once I have any updates, I will let you know too!

I have asked Mrs Cheung and she said she could form a AM western harbour tunnel route for us (currently, there're 5 students):-

Route:
Your daughter (Tsing Yi) -> my daughter (Mei Foo) -> Olympic (your daughter's 2 buddies plus 1 more student who has contacted Mrs Cheung directly) -> Western harbour tunnel -> Sacred Heart

Fees:
Tsing Yi Station $3,000 (Mrs Cheung said she is charging a current Tsing Yi parent for $3,000 too)
Other Stations $2,000

Mrs Cheung said she could lower the fee if there are more students taking the same route but the minimum total fees she has to receive is $10,000+ monthly for Western Harbour Tunnel route because the tunnel fee is $110 per trip)

Departure Time (estimate)
Tsing Yi : 7:25am
Mei Foo: 7:35am
Olympic : 7:50am (Mrs Cheung said she has to leave Olympic by 7:50am)
Arriving Sacred Heart at 8:05am

The fee and travel time are acceptable to us. Please consider.

Yes, $3000 is quite expensive indeed. Let's wait a bit as need to see if everyone have confirmed to attend SHCK first.

As I know from my part-time cleaner who also helps on nanny bus, she also told me the costs per month for the round trip route is just above 10,000. So, if we have 10-12 children, it doesn't make sense to charge 3000 per person.

Another option is James Wong, who also have private nanny bus to Sacred Heart. The contact number is 91777729. The traveling time may be longer but the cost is lower. He quoted me for Tsing Yi to SHCK at $ 2,000 per month, compare to Mrs. Cheung's $ 3,000 per month.

Let's gather more information here, and contact them as a group. I think we can have better bargaining power in this way!

by hearsay, James' nanny bus is no good.
last Aug/sept, I had called a nanny bus service provider (for SPK kids from Kowloon West) who quoted me HK$1,800 (I can't remember exactly but for sure, it must not over HK$2,000) for 6 kids.  I will call my friend to get this provider's contact again tomorrow.

depart from Tsing Yi at 7:25 am seems too early for me ah.  Can the nanny bus arrive right at my building ?

There are increasing no. of SHCK kids from Kowloon. Koon Chung is not good by not willing to form this line of service and I personally feel SHCK is not good enough too as it does not let the nanny bus get into the school parking area. Kids need to walk from Ka Shiu Toi down to the classroom. Rather dangerous for kids at NC class and not considerate to kids especially on rainy days.

我都有問過學校關於唔比街車入停車場既問題,而家學校都有成十架車,停車場有幾大,大家都好清楚,under冠忠既話,佢地都會聽話,但其他就唔敢包啦,好簡單,倒車時有無人睇呢?好危險囉,冠忠當然唔會幫你睇車啦,如果有司機唔聽話,泊架車係度,阻到人,又點處理呢?家長都未必搞得掂個司機啦,係咪?如果要比街車用學校既停車場,好多問題要解決,一開始時,家長都應該諗返放學既問題,對嗎?

I lived in Tsuen Wan & my daughter is studing K1 now. I just call Mrs Cheung and she said form a AM western harbour tunnel route, she confirmed total cost she receive must not lower than $15,000(including western tunnel fee), I think we can still bargain for a better price...

In addition, I am working in Central. She also allow me the join the nanny bus together. The cost for one-way estimate few hundred dollars.

For my suggestion, we can form a list first. After confirm the number of students, you can contact Mrs. Cheung again & confirm the nanny bus pick-up & arrive home time....

What do you think?

BTW, Mrs. Cheung didn't mention "not less than $15,000" to me, she just said "over $10,000". When I contacted her, I let her know tentatively we got 5 students and she quoted $3,000 (x1 kid) for Tsing Yi stop and $2,000 (4 kids) for other stops i.e. Total $11,000.  Anyway, once we have confirmed the no. of students taking this route, we could negotiate with her.

I'm one of 薳然媽媽's friend, I live in Olympic. Pls count on me, but from my last year's experience only around August 先開始有D 眉目, but anyway we keep this list run and see... but it is better to reserve a bus from Mrs. Cheung (or at least let her know there are parents interested to form this line), as last year when some of us wanted to form this line but all her buses were already occupied by other lines.

I prefer Mrs. Cheung's bus service, as I heard she is quite ok and also I used her service for 2 days last year and I found she is a responsible person.

BTW, any one of you has also applied for SPK for your kid ? If you kid is accepted by SPK, will you withdraw SHCK seat ? We may want to know that. The reason is that last year we had put some effort in forming the line, however, we could not make it finally because several kids were accepted by SPK. It may happen again this year.

Agree, that's why I thought of putting a list for PM class too but decided to wait. This is a hard fact but truly, no one can be sure what will happened if there's an offer from spk. Too many uncertainty can still happens.

Even though my daughter is so determined to go for SHCK, few nights ago before going to bed, she was telling us she is struggle to choose between the two of them!

剛剛張太回覆有關保母車情況如下:

(1) 路線:
青衣 --- 荃灣 --- 美孚 --- 奧運 --- 聖心

(2) 由於未有你地住的位置, 上/下車時間只是預計;

上/下車時間:
青衣, 7:25am / 12:40pm
荃灣 7:35am / 12:25pm
美孚 7:45am / 12:15pm
奧運 7:50am / 12:10pm
聖心 8:05am

(3) 收費是以目前8個小朋友 + 4個大人計, 另, 為免太多小朋友影響車程, 我向張太提出呢條路線最多只收10個小朋友, 張太表示無問題;

小朋友(8人)
青衣(1人), $2,500/per month
荃灣(2人), $2,000/per month
美孚(1人), $1,900/per month
奧運(4人), $1,800/per month

大人(4人)
劃一每人$400/per month

(註: 經計算, 張太每月實收$17,200, 如落實, 我相信可以再有得傾平d)
(4) 保母車是16坐位, 黃色, 有安全帶;
(5)保母車不能入學校停車場, 只能在學枚門口上落車。

以上都是初步的答覆, 如sarahmama 所言, 未到開學都會有變數, 不過今次問得詳細一些, 希望各位mami心裡有數…

), 佢只係將佢依家車下午班小朋友條線講出黎, 有站響深井出黎, 佢只係減左深井個站, 跟住諗都無諗實際路線順唔順, 就答您.  佢話依家您quote d時間佢一定唔能夠作實, 因為佢都認同10分鐘由青衣去唔到荃灣, & 佢知道荃灣去青衣行條橋就到, 無可能青衣返轉頭ｏ個喎.

再講返車費, 張太都唔多清楚每站收費, 個價係邊個定架 ?  唔係好fair喎, 我唔係好想阿囡咁樣遊收費車河, 況且荃灣去美孚/奧運都有一定距離, hk$100既difference好似唔成正比.  我都有問點解大人收hk$400車費, 唔係一半車費咩 (按common sense), 佢話您地幫手帶返自己囡囡上落樓梯, 所以收平d &　送到返公司, 佢本來話要收hk$500架, 您真叻, 又比您同佢講價講到hk$400.

afterall, 條真實路線係點 & 上車落車時間, 要到開學前先至confirm.  至於車費幾多, 貴唔緊要但一定要fair囉.

張太確實係話因為要佢"即刻"講出條路程出黎(佢同我repeat左幾次, 仲有小小勞氣), 所以佢講左之前條路線, 因為有頭站響深井, 出黎一定出青衣, 再出荃灣.  其實我都要唔該您咁落力組織件事 (唔好意思, 我份人比較直, 唔多識講d好&富cover性既說話, 上回又唔記得同您講唔該 & 謝謝添). 點都好啦, 理性&唔理性咁諗, 我從來都無諗過一定要自己第尾站上 & 頭站落, 係reasonable既問題o者.  若一定要第尾站上 & 頭站落咪搬屋o囉 & 自己搭的士 or 揸車送佢返學囉, 我無可能要其他人就我o者, 本來一開始我都預左青衣係尾站架啦, 確確實實青衣, 奧運, 美孚 & 九龍站, 一定係青衣尾站啦.

另外車費, 我問張太點定, 佢真係唔多清楚青衣 & 其他站收幾多, 佢話: o我, 係呀, 青衣hk$2,500, 奧運站呀...支吾以對咁.  啦, 我唔知佢係唔係炸傻嘞.

若您有更多資料咪post出來, 讓其他媽咪參考, 我唔想因為一個站搞到大家無update, 您可以exclude我啦, 我唔想影響其他媽咪/小朋友繼續進行件事.

Yes, I agree.  Since I contacted Mrs. Cheung since the date I got my acceptance letter, I know pretty well that it is no way they can give us a confirmed route and pricing until the very very last minute.  In a way, this is how the business is run, they have an expected amount they want to earn per bus, so, the route and price for each person, will be dynamically changing based on the children participating in that bus.

By the way, Mrs. Cheung is just like the owner/ coordinator person.  She passed me one of the driver's contact who may know better but later he admitted to me he runs the eastern route also.  So, don't expect them to know so well how to make it a perfect route too soon.

I am sure everyone here are volunteering their time and efforts to organize the nanny bus route as soon as possible so we should be all very anxious to fix and confirm.  However, there are still many months to come before the coming school year will start so as mmmng mentioned, the important point now, is that we gather ALL THE CONTACTS for those who lived outside of HK Island.  In that way, then we will be able to know how many children will be interested to take the nanny bus this coming September.  Ideally, we should find out if there are enough students to break them into more than one route, so the stops will be minimal and we can minimize the travelling time.  Also, it will be easier for us to bargain the individually price AFTERWARDS.

I will create a new thread for such purpose, for both AM/PM parents in K1/K2/K3 for 2009-10, who lives outside of HK island.  By doing so, we can really organize the most ideal route which will both benfits the parents and the children.

Sorry all parents, especially to bbmuilover and chachalai, I have taken the liberty of "stealing"... actually borrowing the information from this thread into the new thread. I hope by using a more general topic this could attract more parents interests to provide the information so we can eventually make it more organized.

The most ideal case, both SHCK and Kwoon Chung will realize the number of children outside of HK island is increasing so they will consider starting new school bus route...... of course, don't put too much hope on it!!!

I think all of us care about our kid so much that's why somehow a bit 緊張 about the issue.

I understood Evelyn's mum doubt regarding the route & fare, I also fully appreciate bbmuilover's effort and her bargaining ability, last year I took the bus for 3 days but the fare for me in Olympic and Hung Hom are the same I felt a little weird/unfair but just kept quiet so for this year I think if we have any doubt/concern on the fare/route we should speak out. Of course Mrs. Cheung is a reasonable person (after knowing her), from past experience she will try the routes before academic year starts to test the timing, then she will suggest the best route to us by late August.

We still have a lot of time to discuss and also still have a lot of uncertainties.

For our precious 千金's sake, we should be open to any ideas/suggestions, let's do our best to make this happen, ideas/queries/suggestions are essential to make it work.

Hi bbmuilover,

I think this is just a misunderstanding and mainly due to the limitation of messages that can be exchanged through plain words.

I hope there are no hard feelings and your efforts to make the request from Mrs. Cheung should be highly appreciated! All of us here are eager parents (almost use the word 'moms'!!!

) who trying to do the best for our children. Otherwise, we don't need to go through the hardships to send them to a kindergarten which is so far away from home, and hereby need to arrange the transportation for them.

I also hope you don't mind that I may have took the information you have gathered and form them into a new thread. But the benefits to gather more parents together, should eventually benefit all of us. Ideally, we may have a nanny bus leaving from each location alone and go straight to SHCK (e.g. Tsuen Wan directly to SHCK, Tsing Yi directly to SHCK or Olympic directly to SHCK, etc.). If that can happen, I think this will be a very good news!

Of course, this is the ideal situation but I believe we should be able to do this together and achieve the best result!

Again, thanks for the efforts! And we will definitely need your help on price bargaining!!!
