Any parents can share their experience in studying at Kornhill Int'l Kindergarten? Is it a good school? How about the quality of teachers? How about the P.1 results?

It's great to see this forum since there are not many parents discuss/comment this kindergarten. My son is accepted by this school in coming Sept. We like this kindergarten very much. However, we are not decided to let our son to study there since we still can't solve the problems of transportation. Anyway, nice to meet you and see this forum

My son is currently studing in this school and he love the school very much. Although I can't see what they are doing during the class, at least I saw him always happy after school and "singing and dacing" at home.

Teachers are nice and caring, always willing to share with the progress of my son.

Maybe there's not too much classes, everyday when my child enter the school, most of the staff/teachers can called his name, just like a big family.

1. How many students per class?
2. How many classes of K1 provided in 2008-2009?
3. How many form teachers per class(one Chinese
and native english speaker)?
4. Is it 100% use English as medium of instruction
for K1 students?

Hi JoannaBaby,

Actually my son is in nursery class but not K1, hope those can help anyway:
1. How many students per class? Existing 22 per class with 2 class teachers. Knowing that K1 will more or less the same
2. How many classes of K1 provided in 2008-2009? 2 classes, 1 in am and 1 in pm (not include Japanses section)
3. How many form teachers per class(one Chinese and native english speaker)? For my son's class, one native and one Chinese teacher, they both speak English during class. Don't think all the teachers are foreigner but most of them speak native English.
4. Is it 100% use English as medium of instruction for K1 students? I see teachers speak English to students inside and outside the classroom. The class teachers told us that unless the child feeling very frustrated but not understanding English, they will use Cantones/Japanses to confort them, unless, they will conduct in English.

Thanks for your greatly help. The information is very useful for me. I am thinking to let my child to study at this school since my friend's daughter was studied there before and she is studying at a local traditional girls school. Actually, her english level is quite high.

you can phone to the school directly, the staff is very nice and helpful.

I went to the school yesterday.

I can feel the students are very happy as I hear full of laughing sound. I like this school, but they do not have a bus service from school to South Horizon. And the staff advise me, two bus service company. However they do not have this route.

So I have to give-up.

We also have the same problem that there is no school bus service in Kowloon East. Actually, I called them yesterday and asked for the telephone number of the bus company, but the staff didn't give it to me. Would you please give me the contact numbers of the two bus companies? Thanks.

I only remember the companies name are Jackson Bus & Kwun Chung Bus as the number were being throw yesterday.

Hi! we are the same case as both of our son are getting offer from ESF (WKS) and can't solve the problems of the bus service to Kornhill Intl.
