I know DBS will release the result around Dec 17. If anyone gets the acceptance letter, please share.

呢間学校, 好似大家都冇セ把握, 大家都党得自己做得唔係咁好...

由得知晋級 2nd interview 到現在, 足足一個月,
就 restless 足一個月...

根據去年, 被取錄會收到信, 不會收到電話, 若收到那封信是厚的, 恭喜你這代表被取錄, 因內附註冊文件, 可惜小兒沒有份2nd in, 希望大家收到好消息, 有個開心的聖誕.

I think you mix up. My elder son got 2nd in and anoffer last year. My younger son no 2nd in and of course no offer this year.

Oh, I see. Sorry! By the way, I just wonder is it expensive to study in DBS? How much will the extra-curricular activities cost? Normally, it costs around HKD600 per month (HKD150 per lesson) for most of the extra-curricular activities that my son is taking right now. Any other fees that need to pay except HKD4000 per month for the tuition? Is it hard to study in DBS? For example, a lot of homework, projects...? Thanks for your sharing.

我朋友的另一半在DBSPD教書, 他說自己太了解學校, 反而不會選它.  他認為:

SPCCPS vs DBSPD --> 應選SPCCPS
La Salle vs DBSPD --> 他自己讓兒子選讀La Salle,
                              現在成績大概全級頭十名吧!

我明年打算報SPCCPS, 但呢間實在太難入.  我不是住九龍塘, 所以無緣抽La Salle, 只可叩門, 唯有寄望DBSPD吧, 諗起都頭痛!!

my younger son is a very very small boy, born in end of 2003. I know some of the applicants for this year were born in end of 2002. So if you were the headmistress which one would you choose, should be the big boys or girls.

No assessment for the first term. My elder son tells that he likes this school very much.

thanks for your sharing, agree with you that the age of a child might be a disadvantage during the admission process, but u might consider applying spcc again next year as headmistress lee did advice some of the young sibblings to try again next year. just my personal opinion.

因為佢知道男拔既問題, 佢又有d朋友教緊La Salle囉!

佢個仔讀咗幾年嘞, 佢都認為自己無選錯. 不過最主要既問題係, 佢本身係老師, 無論放個仔係喇沙定男拔, 佢都識教佢.

至於St. Paul Co-edu, 唔使做老師都知道呢間學校既優點啦!

I may have the same happy problem, ie SPCC or DBS. Would be most grateful if you would advise what your friend/DBS teacher does NOT like about DBS. Many tks in advance.

of course, some people will do that. But my family hates to ask my son to re-study K3 or P1 in order to get into this school. Indeed, my younger son hasn't felt any upset being rejected by SPCCPS. He is smart and clever, but is not so presentable than other applicants only at this moment. Sooner or later, he should do much better.

好多學校都會著重兩文三語, 不只SPCCPS著重, 至於德育教育方面應該比其他學校好.

"SPCC就唔使了解都知佢優點"，但係好多人都以為"DBS唔使了解都知佢優點"喎，可唔可以解釋吓兩者之間o既分別？又或者你朋友根本唔了解SPCC呢？

妳所講的, 我大部份都有問他, 我只能說: 妳對DBS了解不算少, 但他不願跟我說我最想知的”內情”. 也許他還在學校教書, 不方便透露太多吧. 加上我兒子明年才考小一, 若我到時”有幸”遇到相同難題, 我才方便再問多一點.

According to the lady, she said the reuslt has not yet been finalised. However, I told her that the result should be coming on Dec 17 and she asked me where did I get the information. I told her I heard it from the briefing session that I attended. But she repeated the reuslt has not yet been finalised. I am not sure if she is telling the truth. Anyway, we will know by tomorrow.

DBSPD website calendar shows release of G.1 Admission results will be 17 Dec. But there is no mention of whether the results will be sent out (by post) on 17 Dec or whether parents will receive the results on 17 Dec. Woman at the school, v unfriendly and just repeatedly said 冇指示, cannot believe they don't not know。 Why so secretive and so arrogant? School must know there are many anxious parents out there.

I don't think that we can receive the letters today. I called the school yesterday and the lady said that they had not sent out the letters yet. If they still did not send the letters out yesterday, there is no way that we can receive anything today.

I also asked if it is possible for us to get the letters before Christmas, the lady said that she was not sure. But they would try to send out the letters ASAP.

Yes, the school can only tell you the date they plan to send out the letters (i.e. 17-Dec). You cannot expect them tell you when you will receive it, surely that depends on the post office.

I received the letter today. My son has been accepted by DBS. It has been a long, long wait.希望其他家長也啲收倒信。.

I have seen many people discuss whether DBS 收細仔，我小兒是年尾出世的。Perhaps this now dispels one myth.

Sorry, I am not too sure. I am at work and asked someone to open the letter for me at home. But it should be thick, because apart from the acceptance letter, there is some other information about registration. hope this helps.

DBSPD is one of my dream school.
I am not one of the applicants this year as my son is in K2 now.
Sorry to interrupt here, but I just wanna to know whether the gossip is real.
Most people said DBSPD likes to accepte kids from cckg, kv and st cat. Of course, I know students who are from those three famous school are smart. But are there any accepted cases that kids are not from these three schools ?? Or any case the from those three famous schools that are not accepted???

對呀, 一定仲有机会啊, there should be some duplications with the lists of other schools. Also, there're many good DSS in recent years.

不論結果如何, 大家的孩子都好叻呀, 一个个五歲孩子, 跟着父母進出不同学校"闖完一關又一關", 小脚板出席大塲面, 談何容易!

Parents, 不要忘記欣賞自己, 有着如此關心孩子的父母, 也是孩子的福氣啊!

無論入讀哪一学校, 父母最關心的仍然是子女的健康及快樂指數啊! 祝每個家庭的孩子都健康偷快!
