Hi,

My daughter is on the waiting list in KTS. I like this school but I'm a working mama, so I want to know if any working mama comments about this school? 因為I think if finally, have a seat for my daughter, 我吾知道課程是否較難及深? 小朋友大慨每日需要幾多時間做完功課&溫習呢? Thanks.

既然你囡囡考到就無需担心,相信佢有能力做得到.每年兩測兩考,每星期五默書,中英各一星期.每日回家做不到30分鐘的功課,因在學校已做佐大半.大把時間看卡通片,

Thanks for your info. but my daughter is just 後補生咋, 都唔知有無chance. 以我所知道學校需要小朋友看課外書的, １年要看幾多本呢? 看完後是否要做study report呢?

我都是WORKING MAMA,但放工準時.我女亦是後補生,不用擔心,上學期默書都只是中,英各3次,相比起其他小學我覺得很少,至於功課都不是很多,除了星期五會較多之外,平日通常我回家前她已完成.課外書方面,一年內最少要看中,英文書各30本,看完要填閱讀冊(很簡單).但是,測考方面,D卷都幾深,超乎了我想像,恕我愚昧,我真係唔知依家一年級O既野會咁深!!!

Hi, I'm a working mami, too.

Don't worry about the "workload" of KTS, it's relatively lighter than others (as comparied with my elder daughter who is P.4 now). Most of the homework was done at school and my son only needs to spend not more than an hour to finish the rest at home.

As mentioned by other mami, the "level" of KTS is relatively higher than others as well. I think it's "重質不重量"

Many thanks for your info....May I to know if you need to teach your kid after office hour? your kid have 補習 or not? as I'm afraid that I cannot teach my daughter as I always need to work overtime..... Hopefully my daughter can accept this school on June.

其實學校既老師會suggest家長每日只係幫小朋友check吓啲功課做好未，如果佢哋真係有錯既地方就叫佢自己再睇一次有冇問題(因為呢啲好多時都係careless mistakes)，就算再做係錯都由得佢，等佢做吓correction佢哋就會記得，除非佢真係blank咗唔識我就會教佢囉，而且我仲有個大女要跟，所以我唔係可以有太多時間(around30 mins only)跟阿仔啲功課，你唔需要太擔心喎！

My daughter is now in p.4. I've never checked her homework (except in p.1). I even don't check if she has finished all of them or not. Of course she has prepared her schoolbag on her own everyday since the 2nd semester of p.1. The only time I help is for dictation/test/exam. Making mistakes is fine as you can see what she doesn't understand. The best thing is the teacher won't call you just because she makes mistakes in her homework.

(p.s. I'm not a working mum.)

Hi all current mama, except the homework, can you share if you think the scholl can provide all round education including other activities for kids to attend/learn with? Is your kid enjoy the school life? How's your feeling to the teachers, with love or just so-so? these are all aspects that i am concerning with also, thx much for your sharing indeed~

Yes to all your questions. All KTS mamis are very happy with the school and so do our kids. I do respect the teachers there.

I agree with Yanamami's comment.

They have assigned several areas for students to play in recess time, eg. 跳繩,踢毽子,捉象棋等. They also offered many 課外活動 for students to choose at the term started. But it's up to you whether you want to join or not, ONLY Friday 課外活動 is compulsary. And school also suggested students to learn 1 music instrument and 1 sport.

My son love to go to school.
