同老公意見分歧,我想個女讀Good Hope,佢想個女讀St. Clare's,有無讀緊這兩間學校的媽咪可以分享下

,我好辛苦至勸掂老公放棄左SFA同聖士提反,不過佢今次好堅持想個女讀St. Clare's

,我好想知這兩間學校的教育模式,好唔好都歡迎分享,或者有無媽咪已經揀左St. Clare's? thank you

無講原因,我諗佢鐘意香港區多D掛

,頭先佢去交留位,跟住就講到學校好到不得了,佢話老師同佢講今年St. Clare's收好少外來生,學生搭school bus又有警察睇住(不過之前佢又叫我自己車個女返學

),又係全日,英小,中學又係band 1......下刪千字

咁你住香港區, 讀SC又真係慳返好多時間! 唔知你住近邊,但SC中學都幾"徧"...而 "英唔英小, 全日" 就唔係好有POINT!

我宜家住香港區,但九龍區都有樓,如果讀九龍就收返層樓住返過去,所以邊區都無所謂,但就好少聽人講St. Clare's這學校,完全無咩頭緒,都唔知裡面係點

D學校全部我老公攪,佢邊間寄左申請表我唔知,因為佢話咁煩唔駛我攪,費事我攪錯哂喎。　同埋個個都會考多一兩間做後備，你唔會知佢會考到邊間，我都無諗過會有幾間收個女，不過最想個間就未必收

要大抽獎你要放棄港大同學會,我朋友個大女讀緊,細女都考入左,佢話間學校幾好,唔係傳統教學,要小朋友從多角度思考,你放棄左去抽好似冒險D喎

Actually, both are the good primary schools. The academic performance requried are same demanding. But, GH emphasizes more on all-round development e.g. sports, music, academic, volunteer services, community engagement etc. My colleagues's daughter had studies in St Clare from P1 to F5. She was very good that she finally got 7A in HKCEE.
However, I finally quite St Stephen and choose GH for my kid because my sweetie is very active and outgoing that fit in the GHS's all-round education. She is not actually showing expertise on a particular one or two areas.
Make yourself clear on your kid and try to talk to your kid as well.
I hope your kid will be my sweetie's classmate very soon. See you in GHS

I know St Clare has only two classes in each form while GHS has 5 classes in each form. GHS is about 45 pupils in a class but I do not know how many pupils in a class in St Clare. If you like small class education, St Clare seems to be better. If it doesn't matter, GHS is more appreciated by its big size of class.

In terms of school spirit, GHS is very strong due to her sports and music development. St. Clare's is a rather low profile school. But GHS is private then DSS from P.1 to F.6, bear in mind.

If you were me, would you give up Pui Kiu College and join the central allocation for Marymount? My girl only got accepted by Pui Kiu at the moment and results from other schools are not yet released.

我係你一定唔會放棄Pui Kiu,如果DGS收我個女我都會放棄派位,所以要睇你自己真係鍾意Pui Kiu有幾多,我之前都有睇過Pui Kiu介紹,覺得間學校的教學法幾好,但就唔知學生的成績同派位如何,所以你自己要清楚自己有幾鐘意間學校,Pui Kiu係直資?我就放棄左聖士提反因為佢唔比參加派位,但我重有4間學校响手,所以派得唔好都唔怕,但你得一間,如果係直資我唔會等派位,因為派得唔好就唔知點算

係, 所以米大抽獎都要揀Marymount, 阿女同我都鐘意 DGJS, 佢interview個日見到個 swimmng pool 同有學生穿女童軍制服就話好鐘意這間學校, 校長要佢讀英文故事書同用英文問問題(好似同其他小朋友唔同),佢話佢識讀同答, 希望佢得啦。

We like Marymount very much and if we do not put it as the first choice in the central allocation stage, it will be harder for us to "knock the door".
Hope that your girls can be allocated to Marymount...

My situation is very similar to yours, but we are not in net 12. Thus, I plan to knock the door in Jun. Not sure how many people are having our situation. As the discretionary from the principal is expected to be less than before given the current economic. People tend to stay with "FREE" schools.

I think every DSS will do it, because it is the guideline and policy from the Education Bureau.

以我所知,其實間間學校都會交資料上去,只係你知定唔知,私校係唔影響派位,你去參加派位時,每個小朋友有個number,電腦係隨機抽

Pui Kiu is also a good school in Shatin zone. You are better to pay for the place first.

From my own experience, St Clare is very family like.  I was watching the girls and they appear very comfortable in their small, convent environment.  The school staff are also very polite to the girls who were gathering and playing quietly at the office area and the staff just let them be.....they seemed to be very 'relaxed' in the way the girls go about, in a very sweet, home-like way.....
Staff plus the amah, school bus staff are very polite.  Though I'm afraid they might be too traditional which makes me wonder if the teachers would be too 'traditional' and not progressive enough?? (Can any current St Clare mother help tell us this?.)
My daughter's experience of the teachers were very positive. She said they were very polite and friendly.  I just hope they are thus in their teaching.
My reservations re: St Clare are that they may not be competitive enough to prepare my girl for HKU. Another is that it is so far.
About Good Hope, I find it very old and the teachers appear very 'Chinese-oriented'.  So I wonder how is the standard of English in Good Hope.
My impression of Good Hope is that it is a very local school.
This's just my opinion.
I have not decided yet too.  But I'm not likely to choose Good Hope.

但你覺得佢地D課程深唔深,係米全英文教學?我知近兩年佢地學校換左校長後好多人都話好左好多,但中學個邊就未必咁好,所以我都驚升上中學要同佢轉返出黎,同埋佢地學校地方又真係細左D

,但GH就設備完善D,校舍大好多,好難諗
