Where do you live actually?
I guess that you are living in Tin Shui Wai because you have applied WFJ.
All the schools are english primary school. But I like TSL since they have good langauage learning environment.

Hi Junior_pam

Many thanks for your advise.  I live in Tuen Mun.  I also like TSL but just concern about the pick up time(6:30am ) of the school bus which is half hour earlier than WFJ's pick up time(7:00am)

Acutally I'm not sure whether TSL is really good enough for us to travel so long.

You seems know much about these schools, would you pls provide more comparison?

Are you also living in West of NT?

Thanks.  :

Thanks Yucarrier.

Yes, I also heard about this info WFJ.  Their teachers changed so frequent.

如果我是你我會選

1.kts

I live in Tin Shui Wai and my daughter also accepted by Joseph Lee, but failed TSL after her 2nd interview.  I know nothing about KTS.

If I were you, I will choose TSL because :
曾經想過, if TSL accepted our application, I will send my daughter to school in the morning and go to work directly in Central, then arrange school bus to go back home in TSW.  But now, 不用了.....!

No matter how, we are also happy to accept another private school in TSW.  All the best!

Thanks Octoct & HJ6153 for your useful comments.

KTS - the sec school net is good but it is the private school which school fee is much than double of TSL/WFJ.

I also thinking about that I send my son to school in the morning and go to work at TST.  But since this is the long term commitment (6 yrs), I'm afraid that I can't be last for long.

HJ6153, can you share that why you don't consider WFJ even thought you have offer?

Thanks,

Hi SueBeeCheung

Both Joseph Lee and Gigamind are an English Primary School and all subjects are teach by English except Chinese.

I also like Joseph Lee, but Gigamind adopts the small class policy in which only max 20 students in a class, I believe it is really good for my daughter.  In addition, over 90% of their P.6 students go to English secondary school and the BK parents also said that students are enjoying their school life in Gigamind, so I will prefer Gigamind.

Do you know about Gigamind and what is your opinion?
作者: SueBeeCheung    時間: 08-11-28 22:40

Hi HJ6153,

I don't know the detail of Gigamind but only know that it is the primary school.  If no the cost concern, then it would be better for children as teachers can pay more attention & care to students.  I heard that it may have chance to change to DSS later.  If really, that's good.

WFJ is the DSS which fee would be better.

For me, cost is the concern.  If the conditions of both schools are similar, I would prefer the cheaper one.

You can regard TSL as an international school, with Indian classmates as the major English speaking classmates and new style campus whereas KTS is a traditional primary school with "classic" style campas.

You are really right that I am living in Siu Lam. My kid is accepted by WFJ but what disappointed that she has failed in TSL.
My sister's son is studying in primary 3 of WFJ now.
It is one of english primary schools (other is Yuen Yuen in Tuen Mun) in NTW. The main teaching medium is english and few cantonese in primary one while it is full english in primary 2-6. All the subjects are edited and taught in english. Thus, the level of it is quite good in NTW. As you know the principal of this school is a bit arrogant and authoritative, the impression for her is not good for me.  The top students in this school can also enter some famous elite schools e.g. DGS, St Paul co-ed and band one secondary schools in Tuen Mun zone.
I like TSL because of its multi-enthcity that facilitates the pupils' langauge development. The teaching is a bit advanced and inspirative. I believe that you have also visited the school. However, you have to repeat one more time in secondary school allocation. It is one of weakness. Besides, long traveling journey is also problematic. If sorted it out, TSL is better. You can see that over 2500 kids have attended the interview.
I know little in KTS. Sorry
Luckily, my sweetie is accepted by Good Hope School.
That is all my comment.
I hope it can really help

Hi Junior_Pam,  Thanks a lot.

Congratulaton!  You have got Good Hope seat.  Will you choose this?  Or WFJ?

I also have the same impression as you to the principal.

Actually I get no choice to face another painful in the sec allocation as all of these 3 schools have no secondary schools:-|

Try to solve the problem of journey. I will choose TSL. How about Western Rail? plan the shortest route.

Yes, I'm also thinking about that I send my son to school then go to work at TST.  Just afraid that the raining and storming days.

It's really frustrated as almost 90% people I asked also choose TSL.

It may be 3-5 days a year. Take it easy.
