which one is the better between St. Paul Convent School (SPCS) and Marymount (MSS) ?

SPCS - school fee around $23,000 every year
MSS - School fee is zero (due to subsidies)

please advise me how to choice, many thanks.

SPC primary and MPS is not too much different. If you compare the academic and culture of MSS and SPCS (Secondary), you will find SPCS is much much better!!

Are you a SPCS Primary Students? otherwise you don't need to worry to send both applications for both school!

Yeah ! My daughter is studying SPK K2, but now I afraid that the school is not accept her, so I need to search the another primary school.

Not really!! Yes You can apply for SPC and MPS if you want!! You don't need to worry about that until you get acceptance!! God Bless

MSS of course! the class and culture is different. MSS is famous for its good English standard and the nice environment. Just compare the location and facilities then you will see the difference. the teachers there are of good qualification. besides, the students there are mostly from mid to upper-class families (based on its location), so u won't be worried about ur daughter's friends and she will have good connections which can help her a lot when she grows up. many famous rich people and their kids are from this school. and one bonus point, it doesn't need any school fees. if i have a chance, i surely will let my daughter study at this school.

I think most students of SPC are from middle to upper class of families. On the contrary, students of Marymount come from any class of families as she is government-aided, no choice to select student. Also, I think we can use this point to justify the "quality" of a student

SPCS is better in english, they have 100% pass for HKCEE!

MSS is better in terms of the percentage of students who got A in their English in HKCEE.

of course spc is better

the Marymount's sec is not as good as primary school sec....
HKCEE's result is not top ranking

i think both are ok good schools. which one is better depends on your own view. i prefer MSS because of its environment and location. for all its good quality without the need to pay school fee is really an attractive point.

Hands up for st paul's convent if the fees is not a concern. It's english as well as the conduct is better.

yes, MSS (primary) is an English school. i know that MSS is well known for its good English. it may even be better in the old days. my friend (who was ex-MSS) told me that the teachers taught in English and didn't allow the students to speak in Cantonese in class. they studied English books which were one year ahead (e.g. primary 5 students studied primary 6 books). don't know if this is the same situation now.

MPS - 4 test, no exam for P1-P3
SPC - 2 test, 2 exam
