我的朋友今天收到DBSPD通知下星期去2nd interview. 佢以為已經failed, 點知又收到電話, 作真係有點不相信. 有無其他人都收到? mug 學校唔係已經選了三百名小朋友? 而2nd 好似由17/Nov - 28/Nov.

Presumably some boys rec'd SPCC's offer/ allocated places in their preferred schools in the Gov't lottery and hence not attending DBS 2nd interview. I presume the school is replacing these vacancies and asking more boys to the 2nd interview. Just a guess.

但係年年都會有這樣情況出現, 為什麼今年會在2nd interview期間再次通知其他家長來2nd int? 真係唔多明?

Perhaps it may, to a certain extent, due to the "financial crisis". More parents may choose to take LS (or even St. Jo, Wah Yan) after the Govt lottery this year while in past years, parents who got LS offer would still go for DBSPD.
Of course, fans of SPCC will still go for SPCC, effects - the same.

The saying that shortlisted candidates this year sounded "not outstanding" (in another column) is perhaps a bit irrational. This is DBS, they will not compromise with quality.

I received the call from DBS on Nov 26, they informed me to go for the 2nd interview on Dec 02. And I received a formal letter on Nov 28. My son's application no is 19xx, maybe the 2nd interview is arranged in numerical sequence.

Anyway, what a surprise!! Because both 陳守仁 and 聖芳濟各 have already rejected my son.
