We prefer SFA to TSL.  I have registered for my son there.  SFA, while it is tough, gives a better prospect for a good secondary school.  Also, my son has a high self-discipline and loves doing homework.  I guess he can cope with the demanding curriculum at SFA.

My impression is that SFA has a relatively higher English standard.  During the interview process at TSL, the teacher making an announcement said "the children IS ..."  "Children" is plural and we should use ARE.  I am really shocked by the mistake made by a TEACHER.  There were a few other occasions during the interview process on which I heard some English mistakes.

The above is my personal opinion.  Please ignore it if you do not agree.  I do not mean to offend anyone here.

其實我同阿女真係好鍾意陳守仁, 要放棄好唔捨得! 但第一輪又好彩抽到..所以都要放手..... 希望waiting的小朋友盡快收到好消息!

True...SFA is well-known for its rigorous curriculum.  Any child who can survive there will be very competent academically.
I also noticed some english mistakes by teachers in TSL and other schools when we went to  interviews.  However, it may be unavoidable in most local schools (primary, secondary, or tertiary) which are taught by local teachers.  In fact, I have attended lectures given by professors with terrible english at one of the local brand-name universities.
Anyway, we feel that the overall language (english and pth) and learning environment at TSL meets our expectations, and the school fee is affordable and is inexpensive for what the school offers.  We hope that our son can speak english and pth with confidence, like the students we met on their Open Day.  For us, it is easy to train him textbook knowledge, but he really needs to build up his self-confidence and courage.  We were very pleased that he survived the two TSL interviews and that he was also accepted by a good private school.  We did not apply for SFA though.  Anyway, different parents are going to view different criteria differently, and they will be coming up with different decisions.  I am sure many parents of the children who are on the TSL waiting list would love to fill in the withdrawn places ASAP!

will give up too...... although it's a hard decision for me.... I like this school, happy learning environment, less homework pressure (this especially important for a working mum like me) but need to compromise with my hubby.

My daughter is on the waiting list, we and my daughter like TSL very much. Though we felt a bit disappointed with the result, we are so proud of her that she went through the two interviews on her own and happily.
I am so grateful that parents make quick decision to release the places to the waitlist candidates, hope my daughter can get a place.

In view of the number of kids applying DSS/private primary schools 3 years later, when my younger kid applying P1 too. I aslo give up the offer of TSL. It is very sad to come up with this decision.
I have to selected the traditional government aided school in order to secure a place for the younger one.

Hope you guys have a wonderful time at TSL.

P.S. Many KGs had over 3,000 applicants this year. The competition for P1 admission would be too much. Perhaps TSL will have over 3,000 applicants at that time.

so far my son has 4 offers, therefore, we have to let go TSL and other schools.

Hope those in waiting list will get the seat soon.

I called the school yesterday. They said they will call the first batch waiting list in these two days. But they did not disclose the no. of waiting list batches. I also don't know which batch my daughter belongs to.

我都好明白你心情, 因為我同囝囝都十分十分喜歡這間學校, 早前討論區有家長分享入到waiting 都係好大機會入到, 佢話有60%以上人會放棄, 所以可能學校未call得切,我相信我囝囝同你小朋友一定可以做到同學的 !!

都唔係既, 因為佢地打比我時係3點, 註冊時間都未完,即係可能代表仲有好多位剩!! 又有可能打比頭一批,有d人未搵到,又有d人放棄, than office 姐姐又夠鐘收工, 明天再call!!

We received TSL's call this afternoon, my daughter has been offered a seat, we are extremely happy!!!

Tommum, I understand your feeling, your kid still has the chance as we are required to complete the registration tomorrow before lunch, if there are places left, they will continue to call the second batch of the waitlisted candidates. Remember to turn on your mobile. Hope our kids can be classmates !

兩日註冊都係到下午一點咋, 所以27號下午三點已經過哂註冊時間
