Just want to ask 恩禧媽, estherxx and other parents who are living outside Shatin:
Is this is a school that worth the travelling from Fanling or other area to Fo Tan?
I chose this school and did not accept the other offer from DSS is because it is a Christian school that close to my home and my younger daughter can get in to this school 3 years later.
I read through all the threads about this school from BK knowing that the former principal suddenly resigned and there were some bully cases. I thought the students of this school should be quite good.

唔會的。到十二月左右教育局會記信俾你，問你仲會唔會抽獎，記住回覆話會抽，咁教育局就會繼續你的統一派位申請。教育局亦會通知你留了位的私校你會繼續大抽獎。

係我住的區域的小學，唔係無好學校，之不過我自己覺得培基的小朋友單純d，似我對仔女咁，再者一間津貼小學能做到全級普教中，英教數及science，已經係好超值的選擇。我舊年都同阿女放棄左一間私小，因為考慮到仲有個仔要考小學，咁就選了培基。今年弟弟就係必收生，唔洗再煩呀!其實你可能會覺得粉嶺出火炭返學好似好遠，我地返學，仲快過住馬鞍山的朋友呀!港鐵車程15-20分鐘，火炭上校巴到學校只需5分鐘，所以都好值得出來讀呀!遲d我都會搬番出來住，不過未諗好住邊，所以都係睇定d先。
至於學術成績，今年學校升中派位都唔錯，有8成多上到英中，扣除了上培基書院的十多個小朋友，都仲有7成上到英中。

The assurance of a seat for my younger daughter is the main reason of choosing PooKei. I know this school is good, otherwise, there will not be so many students applying. But I still do not know how they can have a competitive standard, in comparing to schools in other areas.
Also, I read some threads from here saying that there were some bully cases happened and were not handled properly. That make me wonder if the students are really 單純. And also some parents are complaining Pookei here (announcing the highest marks and the lowerest marks in front of class). I started to worry.
Hope you or other Pookei parents can ease up my hesitation. Thanks.

I heard that they want to boost up the kids' level because they want to switch to DSS later. I have no way to confirm this but it is something I heard.

小一班約3-4樣 (好間唔中5-6樣)功課,其實相對其他小學培基功課量不算多. 如果小朋友手腳快約一小時就做完. 上學期小朋友讀任何一間小學,都要適應. 到下學期大致上都okay.
我囡囡手腳慢d,所以有時亞媽要辛苦d.
培基的宗教教育是我揀選的重要一橫. 今日我囡囡會自己祈禱,將心事向天父訴說. 不要小看他們年紀細,他們簡單直接的心靈,比我地d大人更可貴.
學校還會派獎勵卷去鼓勵學生,我囡囡慢熱被動,這樣的鼓勵方式對佢好work.
我同意恩禧媽的看法:培基的學生好乖, 當我接校車時都覺得高年班的學生好斯文. 每個小朋友都好獨特,視乎家庭怎樣教. (這是我個人意見)

我囡都算快手，多數(星期一至四)都會在一小時內完成功課。佢而家仲厲害，係學校做埋功課tim呀!所以功課都唔係好大壓力。我都係最欣賞學校以獎勵券形式來鼓勵學生，其實都有d似我呢d c9儲印花換贈品呀!

- 功課量自已唔覺多，阿仔梗係話多，如其他媽咪所言，都 depends on 小朋友的投入和速度。阿仔可以 'hea' 2小時都未搞掂，東搞搞西搞搞，我就變了 '常哦' 囉！
- 真的喜歡學校可以普教中，見到仔仔日漸進步，有時仲話 '媽媽妳讀錯喇，係咁讀架，跟我讀一次'。哈哈....扮唔識係試探o既有效辦法，不過阿仔又真係識得多過我。還發覺有時他自已玩都會自講普通話

- 現在只是小一，唔好咁快呱又要揀中學，還未係時候去揾料，所以未知培基書院是否一間好中學。現在係好中學但不等於5年後都係好，相反亦然。
- 在Net 91， 2間沙呂和培基都係好熱門的學校，所以就要看妳自已的 preference，有 20 分第一輪都未必入到，第二輪就講運氣。我當年只填了5間，2間沙呂都無揀，自已沒有太大期望 (15 分)，但阿仔有他的運，抽到了

我Arnold今年9月都會入培基讀小一, 大家多多指教, 現在抽到了, 反而有些擔心他跟唔上, 他是細仔, 03年11月尾, 做mug都慢過人, 專注力又唔得, 從其他post知道培基所d野好深, 自己更加擔心
