What is your choice between these 2 schools. St Stephen might be better in language development. Convent is traditional famous school with good disipline. How about academic achievement in secondary school? Does anyone can help me?

Absolutely St. Paul's Convent. Most of the girls come from its primary school which is an English school, so their English is good. Also, the HKCEE and HKALE results of their students are very good.

Thank you for your comment. Will the school be too pushy on academic results? I understand it would be contraditory upon academic results and an enjoyable school life. Would it be a balance between them?

Some may think that St Stephen is more balanced and St Paul's Convent is more academic driven. Another angle that you could think of is do you like a co-ed or a "girl" environment ?

My girl is studying in SPC. All round and balanced education are the main motto of this school. Girl is very happy in school, workload is not that much and "not really pushy". However I recognised that language ability or development are very concern in both SPC and St Stephen's.

SPC is good in English. My girl has an enjoyable school life in SPK, too. What's attact me is that St Stephen claim that their English teachers are all native English speaker and they use PTH to teach Chinese and some subjects. all other subjects are in English. does anyone have infomation on that? does SPC has PTH class?

SPC has PTH class and They use Cantonese for CHinese, RE.... lesson. SPC has Oral lesson which they can practice and improve their communication and presentation skill. My Girl is in P1 and their Oral Teacher is a Professor grade. If you are studying in SPK, then you can get those information easily from other parents from P1. We are Catholic and We have no doubt to choose SPC for sure. God Bless!!
