I just read thru last year threads. I believe the letter won't be sent out until Dec 1 or so.

According to last year thread, interviews were done on Nov 9 and 10, 2007. So, I guess it should be similar timeframe this year.

And, KV should have result on similar date too. As of last year, parents need to make hard decision again (if they are so lucky to get accepted in both)

I also want to know but no one will know the selection criteria and diff school has diff criteria I guess.

I did talk to some friends who are kinder teacher and had involved in selection process in some schools. They usually will mark down how the children behaved and reacted during interview, answers (wrong or correct) are not the major thing they look for.

In old threads of SC (e.g.), some moms said her children answered all correct but didn't get in. But some said her children missed some questions but got in.

I guess (only my guess), no respond, cry or too naughty, or don't pay attention to teacher (look around), chance may be lower.

last year, the acceptance letter/waiting list letter was received on about 1.12.2007 (1st weekend of Dec).

it should be more or less the same this year, the results of KV are usually released earlier than SC.

Hopefully the letter will reach us sooner than 15 Dec... Can't wait..

btw, my daughter got accepted into KV, and have to confirm and pay by 13 Dec, which is fine, but the thing is, we need to pay for the school bus enrollment too, which will cost me $1k... even more expensive than KV's enrolment fee...

If my daughter got accepted by SC, KV won't be my choice for sure, and $$$ will be wasted...

仲要等到幾時呀?KV on the waiting list, very poor. 聽聞今年KV家姐哥哥讀緊,弟妹都收返晒,KV這樣做好好呀!St. Catherine應該也這樣做唔駛我們這樣懊惱啦!

Yes, if your child is accepted, the envelop is quite "thick", including a cover letter, school bus info, autopay application form, book list, reply letter, registration form, etc.

It is KV who admitts 500-600 per year

Thanks for the info. But there is 2 campus listed in the website... i think they seperate the enrollment figures into 2 campus..

Norfolk Road = am 295 + pm 188 = 483
Essex Cr. = am123 + pm 88 = 211

Therefore the total might be 694 for the 2 campus in total for the year 2008/09

My son (born in Oct 06) got an offer for Eng-Chi AM Class at Essex Cresscent. ^^ The registration date will be 13 Dec. 06.

I overheard that SC doesn't really care about big/small bb.. so don't worry.

In fact, my baby didn't do well in SC's interview, but she still got in... you can imagine how happy i really am. So look at the bright side buddy.

I did saw parents here stating that they had received "waiting list" letter from SC yesterday.... so as said, most likely, it is just the problem with the postal service.. rather than "acceptance letter" first, "waiting list" letter later...

i recieved the letter just now! register date is on 12/14, i had apply for E/M class but only accept for E/C class since my daughter did so bad on her mandarin interview.....
those who received letter yesterday, their register date is on 12/13. so dun worry, still have chance to recieve acceptance today!

其實兩個校舍無咩分別, 只不過N Road就old小小，而E Road就新d, 班房就差唔多大小，如果搭火車或MTR接放學就N Road方便，如果渣車接送就E Road方便．

Same case as yours, but I decided to register sc for my daughter.

if you are hesitating for SC because of pm class, then I can tell you pm is no harm coz your kid has to adapt to pm life in 2nd year anyway.

if you are thinking between kv or sc, then I think nobody here can help you because it's your kid and every parents here have their own situation and expectation...
