唔啱就要換架啦，你覺得鋼琴老師唔好，即係教得唔好，咁你想唔想子女學唔到嘢兼嘥時間??

換老師我從不手軟，因為課外活動時間真係好寶貴的。

Mandybee,

I would raise your concerns to your child's piano teacher first. Perhaps things will improve, or change ?

However, if problems arise, and cannot change even after you mentioned and give chance for teacher to improve, then of course, you can consider to change teacher.

However, do understand what your child needs, and what your definition is for a "good" teacher.

Don't worry about your child adjusting.... children are highly adaptable, esp at younger ages.

Piano teachers are only seen once a week, I would worry much more about changing a school, or a helper than changing a piano teacher.

However, it's not easy to find a good piano teacher, one that works well with your child, and your family. Take careful consideration in choosing one.

Changing OFTEN will result in instability to the child's progress, confusing to the child as every teacher has something different in the style, technique, and skills. So always give the lessons with a teacher at least 3 months.

Teacher often gives trial lesson, you can typically know whether it "works" or not from that trial lesson because your child should improve a lot from that one lesson, and if you ask whether he enjoyed the lesson with this teacher, if he smiles, you know you found the right teacher!
