Yes but we still need to waiting for the result....

SPCC may sending the acceptance letter on 20 Nov. And RC may send it on 15 Nov.

I would prefer St. Paul's Boys.

Seems that St. Paul's Boy's academic standard is higher. Both schools are traditional in nature.

It's just according to my previous encounters with the boys from these two schools.

Any other opinions? Pls share.

I understand MOST top students of 高主教 primary do not choose to study in its secondary school. They go to St. Paul College, Kings or even QC.

The primary school has indeed moved to Wanchai and its students will be under keen competition with other students from top schools in the region e.g. Wan Yan, St. Jo, Marymount, St. Paul Convent, etc.

If I get an offer from both of them, I will definitely choose St. Paul Boys without hesitation.

1. Announce on web or thru mail?
2. Anyone knows the date of registration?

Why it will have keen competition with Wah Yan, marymount...etc? Do you mean if I go thru the govt allocation for Secondary School?

As RC can offer most of the students directly to Secondary School, if I intend to go to RC secondary school and put it as 1st choice, the competition you have mentioned will not affect me, right?
Pls correct me if I am wrong.

I called to school yesterday. We will recieve the letter before 20th Nov 08 (i.e. next week). However, I didn't ask the registration date.

I have heard that when choosing secondary school in P6, RC students can join the central allocation while St Paul's boy doesn't allow their students to join. I am not sure but parents need to clarify it first.

i asked a SPCPS P6 parent before. He told me that he can choose other school.

I understand the band 1 students % in Wah Yan and St. Joseph are around 30+%. Both are top schools in the town but the ratio is not high. It means there is keen competition in academic result of the P6 students in Wanchai region.

If RC Secondary is your or your son's target, RC primary will be a good choice. However, I think St. Paul's College has more band 1 students than RC Secondary.

1. will you concern the religion?
2. will you concern the school fee?
3. where do you live? will you concern the location of campus?
4. will you concern the quantity of homework?
5. St. Paul Boys is Chinese primary school vs Raimondi is English primary school. which one is more suitable for your son?

St. Paul boys English level is higher than Raimondi. For PTH, Raimondi student are better.
St. Paul boys will move to new campus.
Personally, I prefer St. Paul boys. Hope that they reconsider my son (small small boy).

Though SPC is a 'Chinese' primary school by definition, her Eng standard is not low at all. Potential parents should get aware of that for preparation.

I do concern on the quantity of homework. Can you advise? I heard RC has lots of homework. Is it true?
