What is the difference between Anglo-Chinese Class and Inernational Class, which is better?

Anglo-Chinese = Cantonese + English (20 mins PTH) everyday, interview language can be either language

International = PTH + English, interview is in either language

Dear Elmolly,

Thank you for your explaination. If I cannot speak PTH, it is better for me to take Anglo-Chinese, right? For Anglo-chinese class, can they also learn PTH at school?

actually I first wanted to apply for the int'l class, but then found out the interview language can be PTH so I switched to Anglo-Chinese as I'm worried that my girl can't understand the instuction during interview. but maybe a good chance if for your baby to learn if he/she can get in. there's 20 mins of PTH everyday for the anglo-chinese class.

ic. This is what I am worried as even me cannot speak well PTH so I am afraid this will lower the chance of being accepted by HKPS. If there is also PTH at the Anglo-chinese class, I will apply for it. By the way, what kind of question the interview will ask as my son cannot able to speak now. They wil use both English and Cantonese for interview?

You are welcome as I have download spare form so it is easy for me. By the way, my friend said HKPS is very strict to the period (01 Jan, 07 to 31 August, 2007 for Playgroup) so you better call them if they will accept small girl.

yes, also see from their website that they will accept child from 1/1 - 31/8/07. and this morning I called their staff and they said I can still send my application and hopefully may have a chance to have interview. So, just give a try......my girl is "small" girl, seems not easy to find a seat easily. Most of the kg prefers "big" child....

so... you mean no chance for "small" BB.
I want to apply it for 2nd round if baby was born after 8/31/07. how can I do it? The hkps line is always busy, I cannot contact them for this enquire.

I have applied for International class as I believe it'd be easier to write down what you think (in PTH) instead of translating from Canto to PTh and then write. Kids in Taiwan and Mainland are much more competent in Chinese writing than HK kids.

Can anyone with kids in Intl class kindly share their experience please?
