Actually, I do not know why but my general impression is good after the open day and interview day.
It takes it serious that the school has arranged various students shows and arts display to show how the school demonstrates earnestly to all the parents.
That sound good.

我都覺得唔錯，d學生都好乖又有禮貌，校舍都很好，不過今天收了取錄信，要今個星期4 or 5交$2150留位費，就好似比較貴d!

聖母小學可能比較冷門,
我都收到取錄信, 對於我來說比較遠,
荃灣-黃大仙, 星期五下午12:35放學,
學興趣班, 又冇校車, 什麼接送,
唔學興趣班可能沒有學分.

又不知道是否小班教學, 25人一班.

面試及開始日, 比較hardsell.
d學生都好聽話, 有教養...

聖母小學相比以前真的小了人去考, 因為其他私校或宜資競爭性大了。但聖母要家長交一個月留位費實在太貴了, 因為好多家長仲等緊其他學校結果或者統一派位的。除非真係好心儀聖母, 否則我就唔會交留位費了。因為到出年六月一定好多人唔讀, 到時再回頭一定有位的。

聖母交了留位費, 可以繼續參加小一派位的, 因為它是私校, 我朋友舊年都係咁。

Sorry, 我比唔到實質意見你呀, 因為我仔仔已小一了, 我只是從朋友口中知道舊年唔多人報名, 多數都收的, 最後佢都交了留位費(舊年$2,000), 但結果都係冇讀, 選擇了培道, 因為地點及各方面比較適合她的女兒, 不代表聖母唔好。

但我感覺聖母較傳統及嚴格d, 校風純樸。

德望小學和聖母小學的主要教學語言都是中文，咁即是中文小學。其實即使St. Mary都是中文小學，只是去到中學才是英文中學。

The most important issue is that your kids can still be proceeded to the Government Primary School Selection Exercise. But, it cannot be in the Direct Subsidy School. It will give you a chance to choose later on 6/2008.
Of Course, you have to choose among your choices available.
Thus, holding a private primary school in hand is a very vital tactics.
Besides, well-known DSS is very very difficult to enter because they are too competitive

totally agreed and think most of the parents for applying private school are just going to buy an insurance. So this $2150 is just the amount that need to pay for if anyone want to buy this insurance but also want to join the Lucky draw.

The school is good or not. It still depends on the parents. I think the roles of parents are very important whatever in moral, academic or ECA etc. The school only teaches you the knowledge and methods of learning. The parents have to offer the chance for the kids practising. Practising at home or in the community are same kind vital.
Thus, don't worry and be good.

我已問了學校, 有以下回覆 :

(1) 本年度上課時間為7:50 am至2:50 pm(星期一至四), 7:50 am至12:40 pm(星期五)
本校是五天上課, 星期六不用上課
如學生放學後參加興趣班/自費課外活動, 均需家長自行接回學生, 校車只接送返學及放學。
我覺得返學時間, 好特別, 返4天半, 因我住得遠, 所以星期五不會參加興趣班, 冇人接.

(2) 可致電校車公司 23212784查詢。

我住荃灣, 我之前想去黃大仙, 行龍翔道, 應該好快, 昨天問了校車公司, 它說荃灣要6:30am上車, 但現在沒有人在荃灣上車, 最近是大窩口, 如要加上, 必須早過6:30am

(3) 2009年度小一開設四班, 每班教育局規定最多為42人, 本年度每班小一為30人。
今年每班約28-30人, 但9月1日每班有25-28人, 少了學生, 有d學生考了好學校, 就唔讀.

$2150留位費, 好貴, 因校車太早, 我決定不交留位費.

去年我朋友帶佢囡囡去考聖母都收左，因果
陣佢地亦報考了另一間小學但未出 result 所
以亦付了 $1950 留位費!!

我諗佢地之所以收咁貴可能了解到不少報考
的家長都將此校列作次選 / 後備，往往於每
年六月統一派位公佈後不少交了留位費而又
成功獲派心儀小學的家長紛紛放棄入讀，因
而令校方失了預算，為減低風險索性大幅調
高註冊費，希望無心入讀者考慮清楚，若真
係心儀此校而決定入讀者應不會有異議！

但站在家長立場付了留位費作保險再詳細考
慮入讀哪一間小學亦無可厚非！以上所講都
是我個人想法，希望大家別介意！

今早諗，$2150可能真的當俾「保險」之用，因為不知道會否很不幸地派位派得唔好。若果派得好，固然開心，或者那$2150當給支持教會學校之用--奉獻（雖然咁的心態不是太正確）。

聖母小學為何又不把招生日子放得後一點？令我諗她的意圖。我小朋友會於今個星期面試（第二輪招生），我真的又怕她會故意通知話收我小朋友，然後又要家長給留位費，德望小學要21/11至知取錄與否，到時：$2150+$4xxx=$6xxx，花很多錢呢。

聖母小學返四天半，又真的幾奇怪。但德望又不知會否落第。

I've just checked with OLPS and found that there has no school bus to Tsing Yi. I wonder to know if I'm living in Tsing Yi. Any other kind of school bus can be selected? And how long does it take between Tsing Yi and OLPS? It is much appreciated if anyone can provide the relevant information to me. Thanks.

i live in tsing yi too!!! my gal will also join for olps on coming sept. maybe, we can change the school bus schedule. i just called the school bus and they said that they can't tell until next year. if many people are fm tuen wan and tsing yi, they might put off the pick up time. currently, they just have 2 kids join the school bus in tuen wan. hope we can make a mass of people to make a full bus to school direct!!

OLPS is one of the first batch of private schools announcing the result. You cannot know the following result of other private schools because of strong competition. The reservation fee seems to be inevitable cost of attending this kind of educational system in Hong Kong at this moment unless you find the best primary DSS.
Besides, OLPS is also a good and obedient school though it cannot be compared with other elite schools. congratulation to you kindly.

Besides, OLPS have direct connection promoting to the Our Lady College which is also the Band One secondary school.
It can save time and effort if your kids maintain at certain level of academic performance. Of course, if your kids are bright and smart, you can take other elite school as alternatives.
To a certain extent, it is a kind of insurance in the future.

Dear all,

I also have the reply from OLPS, I think I will pay for it because my husband and I feel this school is suitable for my daughter. My elder daugher is study in one DSS school and I still not received any reply from that school. So I think I need to pay it first.
Besides, I feel that OLPS is a good school for girls. Maybe I will let my daughter to OLPS this time.
But I also want to have the Lucky draw.
