我o係舊年有關yw面試o既post見到有關final interview o既資料, 大致上都係先同父母傾o下計, 問o下你兩公婆一般見家長都會問o既問題, 例如你覺得自己個仔點呀, 點樣揀學校呀, 為入學面試做過d乜o野準備. 之後就再同小朋友傾o下, 問o下佢記唔記得佢呀, 平時做乜呀, 上次interview做過d乜呀咁. 氣氛都係輕鬆o既. 另外我睇過校長o係出面o既講座video, 佢有提過final interview o既目的主要係睇o下對父母同個小朋友match 唔match, confirm 一o下小朋友o既表現係咪源自父母, 因為佢覺得家教比所有o野都重要. 所以答案唔係最重要, 最緊要係唔好失禮. 大家努力呀~~~

We went yesterday. I guess not many parents would like to talk about this now because the parent interview will go until the beginning of Nov.

To be honest, I think the questions being asked are different for every family. I have 3 children so Ms Snoopy asked me to the differences between them and the discussions carried on from there. It was a friendly interview and like a sharing session with an educator. She asked my son some simple questions about the interview last time. It took about 20 mins.

其實用校長要求身教同gentlement角度來看比較容易答你.
一個人答晒問題可能會令校長覺得家庭是一黨獨大,未必好. 適當時間將問題交給另一半作答感覺會是兩人分擔教小朋友,這樣比較好. 但兩人搶答就一定出事.

睇來個主任係專責做oberservor....一直係度觀察俾分. 例如小朋友坐係度表現, 有冇唔耐煩個表情等等....

THe VP is Mr Kwong. He sat the interview with Ms Lam during my son's interview. Ms Lam will introduce him to you, so don't worry.

絕對同意,佢地係問左囝囝好多野,所以我囝囝就唔會表現唔耐煩既.但係真係每次答完校長既問題,佢即刻就會寫低d野.

終於面試完了, 心情叫做鬆了一些....
係我個case都係入到去, 校長會問小朋友記唔記得佢, 又會介紹身邊的副校長。然後問番小朋友上次group interview時的一些事情, 如指下snoopy係邊(但唔好離開座位), 仲有問小朋友記唔記得林木木, 佢曉得做甚麼, 梳化上snoopy旁的小狗會做些甚麼?上次校長show既書係咩書....

然後校長會因應各家庭的不同而跟父母傾一會兒, 問題都係想看看父母平時如何照顧子女, 有甚麼困難沒有, 小孩像誰的性格多一點, 考了多少間小學等... 校長會有時向著父親問, 有時是母親。

反而校長唔會令人緊張, 但旁邊個副校個樣一d表情都沒有, 只見佢不時低頭寫野, 佢就會令家長緊張, 因為你會覺得佢一路係到comment緊你既小朋友....不過, 算啦, 已經in 完, 唔諗咁多lu....

林校長似乎每次2nd interview都會問小朋友記唔記得上次問mud. 應該一定有目的.
我估計答得出,答得準校長固然欣賞.但答的態度還是最重要.
但我相信校長是預計大部份小朋友都不會記得,那她就應該是想看一下小朋友遇到難題時的表現同對答. 很多小朋友會低頭不語,這就中了校長的計.

I think so, in addition of memory, I think Mrs Lam also wants to test whether the kids are brave enough to speak before the strangers.

Of course you don't know, your kid knows, he's the one who go to the interview room last time. My kid also didn't remember what's the book is about that Principal Lam showed last time....
If the kid doesn't know, just let him say, 'sorry, I don't remember....can you give me a clue?' The principal wants to see how they react in such kind of situation.

我是昨天面試的, 我兒仔說出答案後,
林校長便同副校長說, 每次面試都不一樣的, 示意他沒有固定的答案, 所以只要小朋友會說便ok, 不用擔心.

I have the interview a few days ago. Ms Lam asked my son all these questions. He answered all these questions confidently, and I think all are correct. But my son haven't told me what happen in the last interview with Ms Lam. Let your son do it by himself, trust him he can do that.

Just finished the interview with Principal Lam today. Just chit-chat. In fact, I found the atomsphere is quite relax.
Of course, in my heart I'm so nervous.
After today's interview, I must say that our kids really did a very great job these two months. It's not easy to handle the pressure during the interview. I fully agreed with Principal Lam said they are all great as they are only 5 years old.

我地係同一段時間最遲個組, 我地又早O左3個字到, 前前後後等O左成個鐘, 個仔O既耐性基本上都已經用哂, 入到校長房一坐底就O係咁撩張枱, 撩足成程, 又坐唔定, 未至走開, 但唔多留心...... 答問題就一般啦, 其實佢答成點我唔太介意, 但態度都好一般O羅~~ 我地同校長傾O左唔係好耐, 校長就話走得O勒~~ 我感覺上覺得應該冇行O勒~~ 唉

Don't say that...nobody can tell what she's looking for. What did you mean by 撩張枱?
using what? My son was not very concentrated also. However, for the age of 5 or less, I wonder how many out of 300 could sit still and look at the speakers for the whole interview. Also, some parents did not come, chances are still there.

What is your next one? DBSPD?

"撩張枱" <-- means 用隻手指由枱邊左右畫來畫去畫到上枱面~~~

校長問佢上次IN O既O野, 除O左數SNOOPY, 其他全部都唔知, 問到校長都唔再問, HINTS都冇俾O勒~~~ 唉~~

算啦, 都已成定局~~~ 過幾日我就冇O野O家O勒....

我仲有DBSPD同KTS, 都係陪跑多, 不過都已經冇乜所謂, 因為始終英華先係我O既FIRST CHOICE.

唔好咁悲觀，我個仔都答錯問題啦，而且仲曳到坐係度郁身郁勢，踢腳，第一次我厲住佢，佢停左一分鐘到，又再癲過，我覺得唔係辦法，又唔想別人前鬧仔，於是出手禁住佢大比，再厲住佢，終於，佢先停到，我都以為冇架啦，結果好彩囉。

可能我真係太想個仔入英華, 所以比較緊張, 搞到連我老公都擔心埋一份, 佢話佢覺個interview冇乜o野, 個仔坐唔好都唔係大問題, 起碼佢冇離開過張chair, 不過我一出去就好唔開心, 影響埋佢...

We have an great interview today. Mrs Lam asked my son many questions and she said he has very good memory and we also have a great sharing with Mrs Lam on our opinion on education. Personally, I know my son do his best at all part and Mrs Lam said that my son was very concentrated even we are talking with her.

We went this morning. Like other families in the same session, our interview lasted about 10 min only. Strangely enough, the headmistress did not ask us (parents) many questions. In fact, she did not really ask us any substantial questions. Nothing about the way we nurture our kid either. She focused more on talking to my son.

Is it a good or bad sign that she never really asked us (parents) many questions? Does it mean that she got an idea of what we are like already and hence focused more on asking my son questions instead? Or is it the worse case that she was already not interested in our son and us, and hence could not be bothered to ask us many questions? Sigh ... really getting nervous. Still a month to go to get the final result.

Thanks for your comfort. I feel much better now. Ms Lam did ask us how many other schools we have applied but did not ask us how we would choose if we are given more than 1 offer. Anyway, fingers crossed and hope that everything will be fine.

唔洗咁快灰心喎！上天自有安排！我舊年見完2nd IN都覺得應該做得好啲，硬係覺得有不足之處，結果，幸運地小兒成為英華大家庭一份子。

另，題外話，如你小朋友沒有兄長在英華讀緊，咁入到2nd IN 已經好叻仔，機會亦好大，因為有兄長係必入300名的，所以你要讚吓仔仔啦！

其實考完等結果才是真正折磨....

現在我仔仔讀得好開心，希望大家努力，有機會响英華大家庭見！

Can you share us about the homework load in YW?  this is my biggest concern.  Thank you.

For others, Ms Lam asked me how many schools I have applied also, I said three and told her the names also because I don't want to lie.  I also told her that he got an offer from his brother's school.

Hi All,

唔洗太擔心喎！我仔仔幼稚園功課响學校做哂，小一都擔心佢响屋企做功課有無問題，可能開咗學都唔係好耐，功課都唔算多，都可以响四十五分鐘內做完，大約每日五、六樣啦，但每樣份量都好少。
反而每星期都有默書就唔係好習慣，因為要我哋幫手温書嘛！幼稚園佢自己攪掂哂！默書都唔太深！我聽佢講都好多同學有滿分。:loveliness:
但最開心都係每日放學問佢，佢都話返學好開心囉！

Mr Kwong, the VP is really very nice.

But, for our interview, the one who sat next to Mrs Lam was Ms Chan, a new teacher (課程發展主任).

How about the others? Ms Chan or Mr Kwong?

第二次面試那天
我的兒子自己寫了name
他一開始在最底端寫了英文名
立刻被登記的那位小姐講
"你不識寫中文名既"

我仔好像沒聽到一樣
繼續寫完英文名後
在英文名上再寫一個中文名
那名小姐才說
你那麼棒啊

校長及副校長都很nice
考的都還簡單
主要問上一次面試的事情

You may remember there was a pop-up message announcing the list for 2nd interview. They added the message in the lower part of the same pop-up.

真係有呢類題目喎,囝囝話有,後來亦聽朋友講佢識人響度教,係有咁既題目.

係呀, 根據之前o既分析同現任家長o既資料, 300個入面有33個亞哥係度讀, 27個爸爸係舊生.

今日校長在面試最後也有叫我地出去睇模型書枱仔. 係搵下有一張係同其他果幾張唔同的! 當然係搵到, 但係都無機會答番校長!

根據經驗,即日問佢地,佢地會因為太多野,唔係咁識組織.到左第二日,佢地又話唔記得.其實如果引導式咁來問佢地,就會問得番好多野啦.

佢地諗下諗下就會講好多.不過講既都有可能係佢地幻想出來既.我囝囝話仲有考乘數添呀,都唔知真定假.

今日見完林校長, 好nice, 一d留難都冇. 先問囝囝上一次面試的事情, 然後和我們家長聊天, 最後叫我地出去睇模型書枱仔.

現在就是要等漫漫長日子到11/24....
