我打電話去學校問過, 他們於15日寄出信, 如下星期都未收到, 再致電學校黃小姐! 應該今日會收到信, 不過要放工返家才看到, 好緊張呀!

Hi my son is also accepted. I feel comfortable to the teachers and students I met on the interview day. The principel is the former principel of 港大同學會小學. The only concern for me is the location. i live in Ma On Shan......

I has the same feeling. It seems that they either accept you or put you in the waiting list.

好似真係無聽過有人考唔到呢間，其實我之前都諗過考呢間，因為真係辦得唔錯，不過後來識到個係呢間學校到做人，佢好感嘆咁同我講，話好多人都當佢地係大後備，每年6月都好多人放番d位出來，你大抽獎後先來叩門都應該得，所以我無考諗住慳番d留位費。

My son got accepted by the school as well. Very impressed with the new headmistress. The kids are suprisely presentable, confident and well manner. When I went to submit the application, one kid was nice enough to pull the door for me.

Unfortunately...many parents (including myself) are treating it as a back up.

I sincerely hope that the school will one day be a top choice of the parents since the teaching crew are very devoted and nice.

However, if I paid the reservation fee (in Nov 2008), how can they treat me as waiting list?

even you paid the reservation fee, they can put you in the waiting list if you participate in the "lottery" in June /09, coz the education dept will inform those schools that who take part in the "lottery". The information I get from the seminar of Kau yan school

Thanks gordon 818. However, to my understanding, if I paid the reservation fee, my place is ensured. Am I right? I know the edu. dept. will inform the school, but if my place is not ensured after I paid the fee, the $1200 is meaningless.

actually the school inform you beforehead that if you take part in lottery, they have the right to put you in the waiting list and it doesn't mean 100% security.

My son is studying at P1 of KYS.

According to last year's practice, it was 100% assurance that the place will be held if you paid for the reservation fee. As such, I also participated in the lucky draw. After the announcement of lucky draw result, the school sent a letter to us and requested our confirmation whether we still wanted to hold the place or not. KYS would then draw the candidates from the waiting list to fill the vacancies which were released by the parents.

Policy may be changed this year but you better check it out.
