好耐無見, 女女好嗎?
原來有家長post出黎了, second in約有300人

不過入到second round都心安d, 因為(touchwood!!!)有需要都仲可以叩門呀
根據往例, second in完後出結果, 除左正選, 會有少部分top waitlist(學校唔講數目, 我地估應該有10個8個), 註冊完後有位剩, 呢小部分top waitlist就會即時被通知
其他一般waitlist就慘d了, 因為學校習慣去到7月左右至call waitlist的, 呢段等候期真係令人好唔安心呀.......

Do you know how many will they finally get? 30 students x 4 classes? If 2nd interview is 300 quota, the chance of getting the seat is quite high.

yes, 約120人
300人中揀120人, 考到就happy啦, 不過都總有人失望的.....不過咁, 好多家長都係抱住"考到至慢慢揀"既心態, 雖然註冊左直資就一定唔會有政府派位, 不過依然可以考私立/其他直資呀
如果家長考到其他心儀學校, 就有機會放返d學位出黎, 咁waitlist就可以補上(不過中間果段叩門日子真係好難過

)

My son said he was asked to:
1) Introduce himself
2) Tell a story based on picture given
3) Arrange story squence card
4) Answer question in English (does not remember the question though)
5) Some other general questions (same as above don't recall detail)

hkuga同基灣係完全唔同類型既學校, hkuga係所謂"新思維"學校, 校風較開放, 鼓勵positive reinforcement, 要求學生主動學習, project approach活學活用等
至基灣係好傳統既學校, 好谷果d, 學術水平好高, 學生比相對地比較從規道矩
蘇浙呢幾年辦得幾好, 小朋友英文同普通話都好掂, 亦係傳統學校
論學術水平, 谷既學校, 高d都好正常丫, 可以理解, 不過同時預左小朋友同家長要長期鬥爭, 而hkuga就活學活用d, 小朋友讀得開心, 而除左academic外, 仲學到presentation skills, 敢試敢錯(好多傳統學生唔敢錯的), 點去搵知識點去用, 呢d skills係一生受用的
所以你要好認真唸清楚, 究竟小朋友適合d咩, 你自己又expect d咩, 我覺得好既, 你又未必想要, 係嗎? 揀學校係一個matching game呢!

sorry呀, 對九龍區學校唔係咁認識, 如果你想知多d呢類型學校, 可以去書店搵本叫做"香港私立/直資小學巡禮"既書, 對好幾間學校都有詳細資料, 幾好的
而家hkuga小學係任校長, 佢係以前既副校長升上黎, 而上一個校長係梁淑貞校長 (創校校長), 今年係任校長第3年了, 佢好勤力的, 對家校合作亦好支持, 上年學期尾提出加學費(1650->1800)黎加老師人工, 減低staff turnover, 家長都好讚成, 睇得出校長好主動去解決學校問題的
黎自耀中果個, 係中學部新校長呀, 剛剛上任, 暫時未知點, 希望係好既轉變啦

Not too worries, I didn't got a letter too. Honestly, I did feel very upset after hearing some of the mothers got the confirmation from school, but I still hope for tomorrow.

HKUGAS is my 1st choice and it's also my son's preferred school. He loves the school very much and very eager to study there next year. No matter whether he could be accepted by the school, I'm pround of him.......

可能學校今年先confirm左頭一批, 如果有人唔註冊就即刻出第2批(我估咋)
