Dear All,

please visit www.recital.com.hk to enter the 1st Hong Kong Students Open Music Competition!

Deadline for entry Sept 30.

Small groups, every competitor will receive a medal, a certificate (over 80), personal comments and time from the adjudicator (like a workshop).
Each group of 15 people, 5 trophies (awards) in a group.

There is even Pre-Grade 1 competition. This is very rare to be offered in other competitions.

Hurry, when spaces are filled, no more entries will be accepted!

Western and Chinese instruments, and Singing.

hi,

唔知此比賽認受性有多高呢? 不過，可以在考皇家試前給囡囡一個預試，都未嘗唔係一件好事！所以我都幫囡囡報左，唔知有無其他人報呢?

報校際好過, 認受性好成疑問 ...
一陣又話做善事,
事但註冊間公司都可以搞啦!

This competition's entry fees are the lowest among all the other choices. HK School's Music Festival is completely a different thing because they have designated pieces, unlike this competition, you can use the pieces you are playing for exams preparation.

The competition is definitely doing this for the good of HK's students in general. The entry fees doesn't even cover the costs of the venue rentals, the adjudicators' costs, certificates, medals, trophies, and all the committee members are doing this on volunteer basis.
Medecins de Frontiers receives 5% of all of the entry fees received.

The advertisement can be found on Ming Pao today, and Tuesday (Sept 23).

我將會幫囡囡報校際，報名費比起校際是貴了少許，佢係針對將會報名考皇家試的學生，我本來想俾囡囡在考試前預習一下，而家15/16都唔知好唔好交費用！

其實大家都係以"家長"的角度討論個比賽的認受性, 唔好講到"accuse"咁嚴重.
家陣巿面咁多比賽, 都係滿足家長的虛榮心,
連我小朋友讀緊間xxx普通話中心都大搞朗誦/演講比賽, 我個小朋友都到張獎狀,
但報學校我都冇出黎, 費事比人笑啦...
你咁defensive,寫到咁似線稿,
好易比人以為你係有關主辦者 ...

我個仔參加過呢間機構舉行o既朗誦比賽 -- 一個字"亂"
亂到令我相信呢間機構真係第一次搞幼兒比賽
亂到我唔敢俾我個仔再參加 - 上次幾乎嚇親佢
都係等佢舉行多幾屆, 有多o的舉行活動經驗先好參加
-- 以上純粹參加過同一個機構比賽的家長的個人感覺

I have edited my post since "accuse" was commented as too "strong" of a word.

Regarding this competition, although it is the same organizer as the speech one, this is the music competition, there are completely different people coordinating this.

Everyone has their own opinion, I am just informing about this in case there are people who are interested.

希望佢地而家攪音樂比賽，會吸收上次的經驗，辦得好d啦！
我問過囡囡鋼琴老師，佢都話好，俾囡囡一d動力練好考試歌，所以我都交左比賽費用。
