My girl sits in the "Apple" table. I remember Hewitt mom as I've exchanged tel with you on the 2nd day of school.

Anyway, would like to know are your boys big or small B as they can tell so many things to both of you after class. Today I asked Audrey a number of questions and got no feedback!? Audrey is a small B born in Dec.

BTW, did anyone of you enroll in the volunteer program?

I also asked Scott what he needs to bring to school. He still said "red" only. I also asked him whether they have gone to playground to play with the hat. He said they didn't wear the red hat.

I always ask him what he playing in the classroom. He always joking with him. Just answer nothing. And i have ask him before any story time. Then he answer nothing and smile go away.

Both Scott & Hewitt are so smart.

When I asked Audrey did Ms Dom or Ms Yeung ask her to bring any thing school, she said tea-time box & the cup.

Did you start revising the topic book & following the Chin & Eng teaching guidelines to 溫書？I find it quite difficult for Audrey as she has not much patience.

Also, the biggest challenge is I am not good in Putongua. The Chin guideline for Sept mentioning 校長，主任，操場，食物盒..... Oh my god, I don't know some of the pronounciation & I just quickly grab a 漢語字典 from the bookstore yesterday. Before Audrey learns how to speak, I am the one who need to look up the dictionary first. Anyone of U have the same problem as me?

Audrey is also smart and she can tell you what she needs to bring everyday and this is also what they learnt for these 2 weeks. I also tried to take a look on the book with Scott. However, he cannot concentrate after 3 mins and ran away. Too bad! My mandarin is not good so that I use my "so so" mandarin to speak to him. I know it is not good but if I didn't try to speak to him, he is afraid to speak to others.

Hewitt every morining must be crying, i think he feel tired.  Before he in the(PM) Nursey Class so i'm not sure is he don't like wake up early or he don't like go to the St.Catherine.  He always said i don't like go to St. Catherine.

Before he like speak to english more than madarin.  But now he always mentioned Ms. Yeung said some words in madarin then he teach me.  Also, i don't know how to teach him the madarin.  And in the Nursey Class he back home is always speake english but now he always sepak cantonese more then speak english.

Today i recieved the call from Ms. Yeung.  She said Hewitt fall down in the classroom.  OH......MY GOD.....i need to waiting he back home then i can see him la..............

My girl didn't cry & say not going to St. Catherine's but her sleeping pattern is totally distrupted and still can't adjust now. She sometimes doesn't take any afternoon nap and sometimes want to sleep at 5:30pm or 6pm. Disaster, ar!

How about Hewitt & Scott?

Also, do U know if the school song is taught in Manadarin or Cantonese. I asked my girl several times and she seems like doesn't know how to sing.

Also have difficulty in recognising the chinese word 人.

Oh...Scott didn't know how to sing SC song.  He also didn't know the word "man" in Chinese.  But he knows "hand" and "ear" in Chinese.  Hope they are fine la.

Scott is used to be a full-day student so that it is fine for him.  Kids are good to adopt everything.  Please them time la.

Hewitt is ok, he get hurt above his right eye. But just a little bit big....now he's fine. thx........

Hewitt's nap time around 3:00p.m to 4:00p.m everyday. Because he don't like go to bed early everynight around 9:30p.m go to bed then 10:30sleep. If he tired mabye 10:15p.m. This morning he crying a while and he said i don't like go to school. (please advise me what can i do now?? i'm not sure he don't like or he don't want to wake up early) I'm worry he don't liketMs. Dom and Ms. Yeung or any problem in the school???

He also didn't know how to sing SC song. And he need to see the picture then he know the Chinese word (for example. 車、樹、人，口、手、豆、等等)if without the picture he didn't know the chinese word.

It is good that Hewitt is OK.

Audrey also said (in fact the first time) this morning "I don't want to go to school twice. When she entered the life she said in front of everyone again "I don't want to go to school". What I did is I told her 你唔係唔鐘意返學，你係唔鐘意起身。 There was a little girl in the lift & I asked the girl if she likes school and she said yes, and that pacified Audrey.

And same as U, Audrey can recognise the photos but can't recognise the words.

I may not enroll the Science class as well as Audrey has got other class at 11:45am. The other thing is I want her to enjoy her sleep more on Sat & Sun. (我要再諗多陣)

For the books, I will not buy any la as I have a habit to bring Audrey to the library and borrow books from time to time.

至於認中文字，one of the moms recomended me yesterday to use the method of "flash card". 果然好有效，今日我剪晒green card 上八個中文字，逐個字咭讀同flash，重覆二次。Then I put all 8 cards on the table & asked Audrey to pick up “人”字，佢真係得喎，叫佢搵“田”字，“手”，“口”.......全部都搵倒，真係超開心呀！

Then, I put all the 8 drawings on the table and then I showed one card, eg. “手”and asked her to place under the correct drawing and she can do it correctly as well!

真係好有效，隔20mins 再玩一次都仲記得！我打算明天再同佢溫過，strengthen her memory. I strongly recommend both of you to try with Scott & Hewitt & see if that works!!

Also, my home have many different kind of the english story book.  We won't to order the story book at this moment.

Scott will not join the science workshop and I am not considering to buy those books.  Last week, I have bought him some drawing and reading books for around HK$120 (10 books).

Hewitt is fully recovered everything is okay. On Monday morning another kids mom ask me have i bring the colour blue go to school. Then i answered hewitt's didn't mentioned i need to prepare anything for him. I already ask him many times he say nothing need to prepare. But yesterday i ask him again he reply me need to bring the colour blue go to school. How about your kids??

Have they back home told you any story they listen??

Your sons are great. They picked up what the teacher said. Congratulations !!! I asked Audrey what to bring and she didn't give me an answe!?

I also tried to read out the lyrics of the songs like the school song & 搓個大蘋果...and others and she said 我都唔識架，激死！

I also asked her "what do U like to do in school", she said "playing" & I asked "playing what?". She answered "playing the banana, apple & playing the potty", 你話係唔係激死.

I also asked about the story time in school & she said no story time.... I think I need to add more oil la....

Yes, Scott knows he needs to bring the blue thing to school and he said there is story time by Ms Don but he could not tell me what the story was. I will give me some time because I can see the improvement. From day 1, he just answered me "nothing". Now, he remembered he needs to bring something to school. This is improvement. Like Audrey, she can tell u she likes to play something better than nothing. Add oil!!

Very quiet today wor.

Today when I asked Audrey if she went to the music room, she said yes and Ms Yeung played the piano. She then imitate playing the piano. She said all kids sit down clap their hands and sing. Then she recited the 搓個大蘋果成首歌用普通話讀，仲做埋動作. It was really a pleasant surprise!

Hewitt mom,

I suppose you are talking about CCKG for K2, right? May give it a try but to tell the truth, I doubt the ability of Audrey (when compare with other kids) and I am also more than satisfied with St Catherine's.

May I ask what both of you give your kids for snack at school? Quite difficult to think of, always bread, grapes and muffin. Pls share.

Haven't got any news from both of U recently.

Audrey told me she stayed at the reading corner with Scott a few days ago and they read a book.

I also heard from other mom that Hewitt got hurt again last week at school and then leave school early, was that true? Hope everything is fine with him.

Did both of you have problem with your kid doing homework? I have. Audrey said she didn't know how to draw the dots and refused to do her homework last week. I wish she will be better this week!

I'm very busy in these two weeks.  Therefore, no time to talking with you.

Actually, Hewitt always tell me playing with Gabriel.  And last week he told me give rasberry biscuits to Gabriel but he reject to him. Becasue Gabriel don't like the biscuits have cream.......wo.hahah...........

Long time no talk la. Audrey and Hewitt are great to tell you more. Scott didn't tell me anything but just let me know who is in the relevant table. I also asked him what he needed to bring to school. He told me he forgot and he didn't know. I asked whether you needed to bring photos. He said he forgot. He is fine to do the homework and asked for doing it.
BTW, how's Hewitt? Did he get hurt? Scott told me Hewitt's head bumped into his nose. I don't know whether it is true or not. >.<

Audrey also doesn't tell what she needs to bring to school. But when I take a look of other threads in BK, other kids do tell their mom what to bring!

Talking about homework, it is quite difficult for Audrey to hold the pencil to draw the dots & lines. Her fine motor skill is not so well developed yet!

BTW, would like to know if you have enrolled any extra curricular activities for your kids?

Hewitt still have Fever, therefore he stay at home to take a rest today.

Hewitt have join the class in 公文數-learning counting numbers.  Now he improved then before.

Also, he hold the pencil is very hard.  But he like to draw the line and dots.

**Everyone, Can you help me solve the problem.  Is about Hewitt always told me he don't like go to school, i ask him many times why.  Then he didn't answer me, until this weekend he told me waiting a school bus a long time.  I'm not sure he is meaning the location is so far need to sitting in school bus around 1hr to arrive home?  But i'm not sure why he don't like ST.Catherine  before he in N1 he never told me don't like go to school.  Now what can i do??  is i need call Ms. Dom and Ms. Yeung to ask them how about Hewitt in the classroom any problem.

School has already started for more than a month & Hewitt's still saying he doen't like school? Humm..... it is a problem need to address!

As he's still so small & maybe can't express himself, it is better to visit Ms Yeung/ Ms Dom if possible (better than caling them) to see how he's doing in school. Is he quiet, is he enthusiatic and participate in the games/ singing, etc. .. also see how's his relationship with classmates.

U may also ask Hewitt more specific question about the school bus. Do not ask open question. Ask if it is the problem with kids, the sitting area? too long time?! on the bus?!....Or any other choices of 褓姆車in your area?

Most important of all, address & find out his problem though it maybe difficult. Call or visit the teacher la, also ask the 跟車嬸嬸see if he's any problem.

Add oil la!!!

P.S. I'm considering Kumom & Eonpi. Can U tell me more about Kumom. Just counting numbers? How many class a week & how long each time? A lot of homeworks?? Thanks.

This lunch time i asked again, are you happy in the school today.  His answered is happy.  Sometimes i'm not sure which one is truth.  I talked with him if need to waiting a long time school bus then arrive home.  I suggested idea if i'm available i pick up him.  After that, i asked him only this problem then is it happy in the school.  He say yes. i don't know is truth or not.

Anyway, maybe next week i try to find a day to pick up him and discuss with his class teacher about this problem.  If not.......everyday i'm thinking of him why he is unhappy. .......

Hewitt everyweek one time to take the Maths class to counting the numbers.  Kumon is not one teacher to watching one kids.  One teacher around watching four kids.  But i want to change 學林 (學珠心算)in next year.

This morning Audrey woke up at 7am and stayed in the bed till 7:25am. She refused to get up & brush her teeth and finally I carried her to the toilet and of course she cried. I's really tired of that, almost every morning is like this, wake up and refuse to leave the bed. And I started to think if it is better she study in pm class.

Anyway, about the Kumon, do U think it is too early if I enroll Audrey to the class when she turn 3 in Dec? Shall I wait till she is older as the class is only teaching counting?! Also have U heard of Enopi? I'm considering which course to join.

Dear moms

Did Ms Yeung called any of U on Fri, the teachers development day?

Ms Yeung called me to talk about Audrey's performance at school. She said the music lesson is always before school ends and Audrey always fell asleep and therefore didn't sing during music lesson.

She also noticed Audrey has problem gripping pencil and asked me to let her draw more pictures using crayons/ colour pencil at home. But in fact she has always been using crayons to draw at home and her problem is always about pencil.!!??

Ms Yeung also said Audrey always speak English & Cantonese in class and refuse to use PTH to answer question. How about Scott & Hewitt?

She said I should let her listen to more PTH songs, DVD, etc at home. I think the problem is she uses Cantonese & English at home and less exposure to PTH and no chance to praice at home. But my PTH is also not good!!! How about your boys?

P.S. I've been assigned to assist in "Arts & crafts" in the parents volunteers program. Any one of U will help out at school? Will we have a chance to meet?

Scott also didn't speak PTH at home.  Same problem with you.  I let him to join the PTH class on Sat.  Now, he is trying to speak a little.  He likes to speak in English for a short sentence.  ie. It's right or it's not right.

BTW, I didn't join parents volunteer.  Sorry!

I've just discovered a corner for NAP. It's great. This is Hui Hui's mum. After 2-month study, i've found my son's lang proficiency improved a lot. He always speak Eng and PTH at home. She said her girl told her "Ms. Yeung was very angry" (used PTH) i think it should be about the chase at school. Then i asked my son whether Ms. Yeung was angry or not. He also used PTH said Ms. Yeung was angry. Of course, i've taught my son not to chase at school. But It's interesting to know what our children do at school.
