How many students are there in the class? My daughter's initial is 'Y', and I find her class number (on the student handbook) is 32... there are 30+ students in the class!!?? wow...

does your daughter understand mandarin? My son knows nothing about mandarin and he just has NO reaction ah!! Only follow Ms Gigi's instruction.

my girl knows very very little mandarin (just her own name, the eyes/ nose/ ears/ mouth... then nothing... )
don't worry... it seems fine for my girl, after repeating the same content for a few days, she finally know the mandarin of "dog" and shout the answer in the class yesterday (you should know who is my little girl now~~ she is the one who answered "the dog", but refused to pretended a dog, rather, she chose to be the

)

in the int'l class, the content is the same, added the school song in english and mandarin only; probably similar in the angio-eng class

呢幾日都係daddy陪,因為佢返工時間好易就,不過今日就改左由babysitter帶去啦,所以我都唔知做左d乜野.
我諗最緊張係下個星期一呀,佢隔左兩日冇返學,又要冇人陪上堂.希望唔會

我只係1號同4號有陪佢返學jar, 其他由Daddy陪, 因為Daddy攞左假

我囡囡同平時返playgroup一樣, 無咩特別, 可能有人陪, 又只係返一個鐘, 下星期就可以睇到有咩反應

仲有, Ms. Ananya把聲好親切, 亦都好細心. 尋日排隊去washroom時, 因為要等某一班小朋友去完才輪到我地, Ms. Ananya就即刻同小朋友唱歌, 唔會浪費時間, 又可以保持秩序; o係 washroom, Ms. Ananya 都有幫小朋友洗手, 值得一讚

i think u can ask the teacher about that in the coming parent's day/ during school day

i have asked the teacher this week (actually similar arrangement in previous years while reading the old threads about HKPS), they will split the class into three small groups after combining the two groups (currently the group A&B); as there are three teachers in the class, each of them will be in charge of one group... and after the students get used to the school life, they will have more whole class activities

for my daughter's class, there are 31 students in total this year, so about 10 students a group la~~ i think it should be okay if the group does not have the naughty students, but if one student needs 'special' care, then the other nine students ......

anyway, i found the teachers of GF class are nice... and she likes to sing 'aiya aiya aiya' at home these few days (the song 拔蘿蔔)
i believe she will enjoy the class very much~~

I only went to school with my boy on the 1st two day, then my helper went with him for the rest of week.

Today is the 1st day children went to school w/o their parents. how's your daughter. my helper told me that most children cried so hardly.

There is no need to apply again if you want to stay in HKPS. The school will give you a notice for chosing the class (Eng-Chin or Int'l) later.

sorry, not come up to baby-kingdom recent few days
she cried a bit on the first day, then she was fine... not many kids cried on the day i brought sinsin home on 9/8/08

donno what is taught this week... sinsin still singing 'aiya aiya' at home, but when i asked if she had sung this song or pretended cat/ dog, she said no... and she did not tell me/ sing to me any new songs...

i kept asking my boy what did he do in school, but he didn't tell me ah!

so i know nothing him. he only told me everyday that he didn't cry in school. i think he likes Miss Gigi as he always mentions her.

I think other children performed quite well this week, as only 1-2 children cried when I picked my boy on this Thur and Fri.

好簡單咁講,中英班就普通話時間短d,班主任會用廣東話同小朋友講野.而國際班就個中國人班主任全用普通話講野.
至於面試方面,我只可以答中英班既啫,係由中國人用廣東話問既.好簡單,最緊要有反應.

我會去呀,其實每年都好多人參加既.去到會先玩下遊戲唱下歌,影完相之後多數都會係自己屋企人既時間啦.lunch有訂野就會坐埋一齊食,之後都係自由活動,到走就一齊走咁囉.
假日農場我自己都去過,都唔錯呀,有水車玩,個草地好大.當然仲有好多野玩,同埋有生果樹咁啦.

looking at the samples of the winter uniform... noted the grey socks with 2 lines at the top... that means we have to order the socks from school... $30/pair wow...

and about the long trousers... just be used <13 degree celcius... wanna ask the moms with kids in the upper class, how often did your child use that long trousers??

kids growing fast... the trousers may be only fit for 1 semester... seems not worthwhile to buy if not useful...

之前囝囝讀果時,都有諗過考其他既,當時揀左一間,都考到啦,不過最後都係覺得留響度好,冇轉到.今次就完全唔諗啦.

我個小朋友讀k2.靜係第一年n1去過,之後我都冇參加啦,因為太貴,同埋唔多值,但參加的小朋友就可以出去表演
我記得第一年食物質素認真普通
唔去應唔會有任何負面的後果,好多都冇參加

咦? 可是通告應該是每個人都有一份的呀! 不可能沒有吧? 也許是不小心派漏了?

老實說...我也覺得$380 有點貴...2 歲的B 吃得了多少東西??
不去的話, 應該也不會有甚麼不好的...最多是仔仔看少D 東西...

聽說秋季旅行就真的好多人, 上千人(大人+小孩),要成14定15架旅遊巴! 不知道有沒有原本打算坐私家車的家長收到電話說,可能沒有車位泊車呢?
如果帶埋BB車上旅遊巴好像太不方便...2 歲仔...試下行多D 路啦! 再唔系叫老公幫手抱. 嘿嘿.

原來我已收到x'mas party的通告, 工人姐姐抽起了留俾我睇, 我又大懵睇漏咗...

我估 $380 /學生其實都某程度上出埋老師嗰份 (好似中學生d謝師宴甘...) 咪當多謝d老師照顧我地d小寶貝囖...

你地有無上星期六個 phonics workshop? 我同老公都有去, 上完都幾開心, 了解學校呢方面的教學方法, 希望係屋企到可以輔助下, 等個女pick up 得好d...

上完個workshop樂基係我心目中又加了分... 如果多d呢d programme 就更好, 始終有時覺得學校教學方法唔夠透明...

I also think that $380/pax is too expensive. the notice said students will performance at the party, that mean students will have practice or rehearsal at school.

So if my child doesn't join the party, will he be idle at school when other children practicing? i am afraid that he will be unhappy ah......

唔知 Playground 的小朋友有無得表演?

我諗大家都唔洗擔心唔去會有乜野後果既,我就係咁多年都冇去過既,都冇事呀!

不過唔知點解我真係收唔到通告,一個就話miss左啫,我有兩個響度,唔同班既,照計唔會miss既.其實都仲可以上網check.
有得去就有表演,一定會要彩排,但係唔洗擔心小朋友見冇得表演,又見到人地彩排唔開心既,因為學校有好多人會去唔同既比賽,時時都好多人排練緊唔同既野,佢地都唔知係乜事排練架.

次次去旅行都會有好多人,如果自己揸車入去,我冇記錯既話,條路都幾窄下,所以都有d麻煩.
我諗bb車應該可以放入車底行李箱卦?

my son is now studying in international class. my son only knows English and Cantonese. in the first month, my son had no response to teachers. but as far as i know, teachers realized that some children don't now PTH, and they will speak Cantones in the first month.

if your child knows nothing about PTH, you need to prepare the above. But i think you no need to worry, as children are very flexible to adopt different language. my sone can sing PTH song in early Oct.

I will join the picnic.
1 year ago, I've been to the Holiday Farm. The situation was not so poor and we enjoyed it. Maybe the management is not so good now.
The facilities/games seem to be quite good in Music Farm.

我會睇番情況,囝囝係大仔,佢升k1時已經講野好叻,所以轉國際班我都好放心.而家囡囡講野仲係麻麻,我驚太早轉國際班佢唔知會唔會混淆,所以遲d先決定.
不過小朋友學語言好叻既,只要佢有個環境,好快就會適應到既啦.我個囡囡一個星期先見嫲嫲一次,但係有d上海話佢都明呀.所以唔洗擔心既,當然早d學普通話,一定會好d啦,音都準d啦.

Certainly you can check the notices from school website. There was a notice telling you the password. If you lost it, you can check from the school.

so quiet recently.

the school started reading scheme for three weeks. how's your kids?

this week, i got a chinese book and i think it is a bit difficult for a 2-year boy. i guess we need to read the stroy to our kids only, and they are not supposed to read them?

my girl also got a new eng and chinese book this week
nice to have comments from the teacher while our kids being 'assessed' by them (they would read the book with our kid on fridays according to the notice)

this time my girl got an easier one, just a book with animals

the reading scheme actually suggests we parents (or domestic helpers) to read the book with the kids, to make it more interest, u/ ur kid can add more details while reading the book

every night my girl requests me to read the book with her before going to sleep, i do think it is a very very good scheme from the school

I just read the words once and then tell the story. If it is not a story book, I will ask her some question eg what's on the picture? What colour is the car? etc.
This week I read with my daughter on Sat already. Yesterday I read with my son and my daughter cried because I could not read her book with her at the same time.

i think teachers started using more PTH now, cos my son keeps singing different PTH songs recently. but i dont know what is he singing. hee heeee

Sorry, suddenly I forget the last few words.
I know because my son sang it when he was in P1 3years ago. He was big enough to sing the song clearly. I check tonight.
Another one is the school song in PTH.
