Understand from KTS website seem not interview to all applicants wor!!!! So they haven't ask pay the application fee when we submit the application form.

P1 application is indeed a headache, even more troublesome than getting a job myself. I'm currently considering whether to apply for any DSS school (although I'll definitely try for some private schools) as I really would like my child to try his luck in the lucky draw... to pave the way for my two smaller kids.

Oh, 3 children, very happy family. Yes, you may need to consider more as you need to pave the way for your younger children.
I agree with you that the P1 application is such a big project. My child has better CV than me. Haha.

My daughter told me that she put some hw in her folder, but then she couldn't find them at home after school. She is worried and mad.

I got the form yesterday. As I was so tired last night, I didn't take the time to read through, just found the form is quite thick and lots of words/instructions to read. I have told my husband to do this task for me..... as I had spent too much time on the profile already, he has to share some duties with me... haha.
I suspect that some K3 parents are still staying in the old babykingdom education forum that not many people come to here to continue chatting. What a pity. So quiet here....

多謝各位回應, 我昨晚已"勒令"個仔一定要完成兩版中文及一版英文寫字, 因昨晚出了街食飯, 要回家才開始做, 做到成11點先訓, 幸好今朝返學都起倒身.

My son has attended the Ying Wa interview. He performed well with the headmistress this time because he managed to make the headmistress and all kids laugh when he read the story. However, he did not well with the teachers. Well, I will take it easy because I am sure he can survive in other schools also.

Trevor星期三發燒, 雖然即晚退咗燒, 老師都話要休息兩日, 所以星期四和五都冇返學, 撘同學仔攞功課. 昨晚見到mock interview張通告, 第一時間覺得乜學校咁認真呀, 又要birth cert copy, 又要school report copy, 攪到好似真係考學校咁. 我哋27號見, 嗰日呀囝11:15am又要學琴, 又係St. Francis交表日, 好彩佢個mock interview响10:00am, 不過我都覺得好趕 (我係話我自己). 我只係想講一句 "give me a break".

Actually if your son has attended all the intended interviews, you don't have to go la. However, it's quite good as the teacher will tell you how he behaves in the mock interview: e.g. how he stood or sat, if the answers were good enough etc.

I think I will join although my son will only have one more interview to go.

我仔星期五無返學, 因要去YW interview, 所以仲未收到 mock interview 張通告.

呢排的星期六好多時都會去聽下小學的簡介會, 同要留意下的報名時間, 真係好似家長都好忙.

請問係唔係所有男仔都係27號mock Interview呀. Trevor仔27號10點見, 因為11:15am要學琴, 問咗老師見幾耐, 佢話15分鐘倒, 照3lamma講會賽後檢討, 死啦!唔知趕唔趕到, 可能要飛的士出旺角tim. 嗰日仲係St. Francis交form日, 勁忙, 人都癲, 希望d小學申請和interview快d完, 了件心事. 培正下星期有form攞啦, 不過只收2009年9月1日至2003年8月31日出世的小朋友, 咁03年9月1日出世d小朋友要等明年喇. 不過Trevor仔8月14日出世, 是細仔, 機會好微.

另外, 香兒個老師話Trevor仔有辨認"絕對音高"(prefect pitch)的能力, 我都幾開心, 不過佢上堂掛住傾計, 差d連上合唱團都要比人罰留堂, 就唔係幾好囉.

想題你哋一句, 九龍塘小學同St. Francis同一日interview, 如果control 唔好, 好易撞期. 如果真係撞到正, 我會放棄九龍塘小學囉.

仲有, 聖若瑟唔知幾時interview, 要到 10月4號報名先知, 如果又係同一日, 咁就my god. 所以我的策略是分早午晚報名, 希望唔好撞. 我好早就交咗九龍塘報名表, 希望會在早上見, 所以我會中午過後先去St. Francis, 希望攞到個下午面試時間, 10月4號會再夜d先去聖若瑟, 萬一撞期, 都夜d先見. 唔知呢個策略你哋啱唔啱用呢.

多謝提醒, 本來我老公都叫我報埋九龍塘小學, 但我吾想報太多 (target 已有4間), 驚大人同小朋友都辛苦, 加上同SFA Interview撞期, 咁我多數都吾報呢間了.

而SFA, 我所知Interview 會比較著重考學術, 同埋會勁多功課, 我都有D擔心, 不過算了吧, 佢收我仔先算啦!

Looks like boys have interview on 27 Sep. My girl will have mock interview this Sat. She will skip the tennis class in the morning and will be late for her English course at noon, anyways....
Oh, there is the after-mock interview evaluation meeting with the teacher gah? Oh dear.... I am afraid the teacher will tell me that my daughter is a total failure that she doesn't speak at all! Need to buy a chocolate bar to make her speak up...

Yes I also heard their education teaching is hard, but I want to try it for Keefe because he like homework, test (he will asked me give him a test paper usually) and writing. So just want let him to try.

As I know too many applicatians every year, and starting from last year the interview was cancelled the paper test. So worry Keefe cannot admission it. Heee... However thank you very much!

提一下如準備考SFA, 去年開始要考用普通話讀詞語, 但寫的PAPER較以前少(當年我女女考要做7張PAPER!!!)
另, 數學似KENTVILLE, 有MENTAL 形式的題目, 亦有補加數等.

Mine is a girl. I have applied for DGJS, Kowloon Tong School and will apply for SFA. If my child had no point, I will apply more private schools for her. When thinking of the difficult questions that will be asked at interviews, I am quite reluctant to take my child to attend those interviews.

I also will apply DBS on this Friday and as I know the date of interview also on 25 Oct, 08. Oh, then 25 Oct may too too busy for interview of KTS, SFA and DBS. Oh my God!

Yes, SFA and KTS will have interviews on 25/10, and now that DBS interview too. That is a very busy day for you. Hope that your interview times would not get crashed.
Ah, a silly question to ask, for the application fees for SFA and KTS, to be paid in cash, right? I guess they will not ask for cheque. Correct?

Yes hope not too rush for those interviews but...

For the application fees, I also think we need to pay by cash during the interview of KTS and SFA has request to pay the application fee ($40) when submit the application form on 25/9.

I think the whole process is just a burden to parents, so much pressure for the parents and also the children. But with no choice, we have to deal with it....

I knew that the admission process would be a challenge to the parents and children. However, I didn't know its competitiveness until I found out a parent would ask the instructors/teachers of the interest classes to write a longer piece of reference letter, to false claim that her daughter has attended certain interest class for a longer period of time, to ask the private tutor to adjust the grading of the progress report, to false claim that her daughter has participated certain public performance. Therefore, I understand why some schools/principals do not count on the profile/CV because those could be false statemens. How come the parent made the whole thing so competitive?

This is the first time I heard parents make up such false record. My daughter has many friends who actually acheive prizes in public contest. What's the point of just participate.

I will apply 2 private schools: SFA and True Light.

For KV girls who applied for Good Hope, KV class teacher told me that this year they will ask children to draw picture on what they do during weekend/holiday. So can practice ahead.

今天我到聖方濟各排隊,用了約一小時十五分鐘,都實在好多人。機會都不太高,唯有盡力啦。

今天做了show & tell, 評估通常老師都tick ’一般”，我有小小唔開心。因為咁快就要佢present, 在家中只是練得好幾次，自然就唔係太理想啦。

我覺得升了K3之後，老師的要求提高了很多。如寫中文字，要每個字都好似寫”捸書”的版本，每個字都要依足標準，要起角就一定要起角。唔好以為補筆老師會唔知，老師真係個個字check. 好西厲。

仲有，有一次，功課是 "A baby likes milk.", 我睇囝囝畫圖畫都好靚呀，有ｂｂ車，有ｂｂ，有媽咪。跟住都冇吸印仔。’老師係旁邊寫了個 " ? milk "。

真係要樣樣都check 到緊。

係呀, K3老師真係tough 好多, 明顯training 都加強了. 我仔開學初都成日同我講唔鐘意, 梗係喇同K1-K2 老師比較係嚴了, 我同佢講你係K3大哥哥, 要求自然要高架喇.

Mock interview時, 老師話要溫下中英文生字, 因 K3會教得快好多, 唔會好似 K2時慢慢warm up, 真係要跟緊d先得.

我仔話昨日好開心, 佢話終於可以出去操場小息玩喇. 開學時, 我問過老師, 因EV腸病毒同流感關係, 小朋友要在課室內小息. 但唔知點解, 昨日返來, 無端端話有得出去玩, 佢真係開心到連鞋都踢花返來呢, 激C!!!!

根據我仔的描述, 第一round 是由1號至6號的小朋友present 先, 而我仔係8 號, 會第二round 做, 日期係13-24 Oct 其中一天.
