The bus nanny in the morning is more strict and scolds the kids if they misbehave, so the kids don't like her.

The one in the afternoon is softer.

Good luck.
Actually the kids on this route are OK except for a few individual incidences.
Just keep on asking your kid to tell you what happens at school and on schoolbus daily so that it becomes a habit.

Thanks for your advice !

The morning nanny is quite tough...As she said... basically all the students behave well in the bus......i have already briefed my son on some particular issues he might face in the future....hope he can handle it by himself...and i should treat it as one of his challenges as he has to learn how to face... if there will be any....

I think you should try and contact Connie's mum in your class. But I don't have her tel. I only know Ryan and Janan are piglet's playmates.

Got it. I will talk to my girl tonight. As I know Connie is a v. good girl, I will try to get her contact no. asap. My girl told me Bengy's piano is in Grade 8 but not Grade 5. She is really admire him.

You are quite lucky, so many friends in the same class. Without you in my class, my girl has to learn how to manage her homeworks well ( be independent) this year.

1) Very nice to hear from you again. Originally I thought why you were so silent in the past few days as you should be very happy after that thorny issue of school bus pick-up has been resolved eventually.
Then, I thought may be the reason for your log-in problem is due to the recent upgrade on BK.
Now I can prove that I am correct.

2) Your son is so quick to finish reading 8 books of the Andrew Lost series already!!! I bet you must have spent a lot in buying books for your children.

There will be some good guys and naughty guys around all the time.
We need to tell our children how to get along with other kids of different characters tactfully.

Dear 各位家長,

看到大家都在談論關於新學期上學的事。

我也是今天收到盛開旅運的信,通知上/落校車的時間及車費,但一看之下發現今年的校車費相當昂貴,我明白油價高漲,公司營運困難,但對於我們來說實在很吃力。

所以正考慮是否繼續乘坐校車上學。大家有沒有什麼意見呢?

Yes, I am very very happy now.  My mood was like a roller-coast in the pass weeks.  It's worse in my life.

By the way, my son is really happy to be one of 1C students.  He is looking forward to seeing his new classmates.  My daughter is a big upset. All of her best friends are not in her classmate this year.  She needs little time to adjust herself in the new class.

Your guess is always correct.  I did buy a lot of books for my kids though my financial is quite tight actually. My daughter finished 12 Roald Dahl's books in 2 days and my son could spend whole afternoon and night time in reading Andrew Lost, You can imagine how much they love reading.

Very glad to see that you are back to normal now.

We were all worried about you in the past few days until we see you become active again now.

The benefit of having different classmates every year is to let each pupil to know most of the schoolmates of the same grade before they graduate after P6.
Obviously, no kids like their best friends to be in the different classes.
The same case for my child this year as her best friends are also in other classes.
However, who knows, may be our children can meet even closer friends in their classes this year.
They should learn how to face it in the long term.

12 x Roald Dahl's books in 2 days!!!
Unbelievable reading speed!!!
Perhaps borrowing the books from the public library will be the more cost-effective way than buying all the time.

Dear all,

It's really not an easy job to be teaching staff these days.

Besides knowing how to teach, Principal and the teachers need to sing and play musical instruments as well.

Just noticed that 4 teachers' performance videos in the Talent show before the summer vacation have been uploaded.

Go to the school web site and click "Campus TV" and then click the large box named "Singing Contest and Talent Show 2008" in the middle and then click " Talent Show 2008" and then go to the bottom of the page and you will see the 4 videos!!!

Very interesting!!! Enjoy watching!!!

They borrow books from library too. Usually twice per month. I only buy books to them in long holiday.

My daughter loves reading too much. Her reading speed is very fast. But it doesn't mean that she can write well. She has got quite a lot of mistakes in her eassy. Not only spelling but also grammartical error. She asks me many questions about english sometimes. But I couldn't give her an answer. You know, my english is not good. I have to wait my hubby return home to answer her questions. Luckily TSL's english worksheets are quite good, I can learn together with her.

I just watched the talent show 2008 with my kids.
We are all very excited...... Mr Adam Wong, Raymond Chou and Miss Vincy Chan ..... They are very good in singing. Mr. Dick Choy can play Guitar well (we only know he is good at sport) It is so amazing......

When my kids see our principal Mr. Yeung singing, they are all screaming.... ha ha..... he is not only handsome but also good in singing.....my maid says Mr. Yeung is very gifted........

Othewise, I guess they will not let these videos to be uploaded!!!

I think this is the first time for such videos to be leaked out to the public.
I remember in the fund-raising concert for the building of the New Annex last year, that concert was made a CD and we have to pay for it and we cannot see it on the Campus TV.

Re : Bus fare

Altho the bus fare may not be the cheapest,
and the schoolbus company may not be the best in terms of customer service ,
the bus fare is quite reasonable already,
especially when you compare it to that of other schools.

eg in my case, round trip from Kln City to and from school,
bus fare last year was $529 per month during long months and around half of that during short months,
this year bus fare increased to $580 for long month, ie around 10% increase.

But 2 years ago, bus fare for another school near Kln City to and from Hung Hom was already $7xx per month ! and ALL months are long months,

ie $7xxx per year in 2006 for that school, vs around $42xx per year in my case in 2007 and $46xx in 2008.

So I have no complaints re bus fare.

雖然之前我同校車部在設站方面搞到好勞氣, 都想公平地講下.  比起其他校車, 我地都算抵.
* 好少校車好似我地咁收長短週. 即有幾個月是收半價.
* 我仔仔學校之前是沙田返沙田, 除開全年校車費用, 同我地而家沙田出旺角費用差唔多.
*而家油費咁貴, 校車費相應來說一定會比以前貴左.
* 如果你返學是交通方便, 可以考慮下自己接送, 有時可以慳好多時間同車費.  我住得遠, 要轉3次車, 自己返都起碼個幾鐘才到校.......

Looks like I need to buy either a new monitor for my computer or a new TV soon.

That's why so many adults are afraid of being shot on TV or photos because of the fear of all these high-definition TV or digital cameras!!!

Then, when you watch Campus TV at home, it's like watching movie in the cinema!!!

So far, 只知道返學上車時間7:10am，但係接放學果個校巴司機講電話時話緊車，遲D覆我，但係就冇左聲氣，所以而家都吾知道放學幾時，係邊道落車。

私而家都係仲未收到校巴公司既信，打電話問，先至知車費大約係596。

星期六8:10am上車，到時阿理媽媽都話要去呀，
see you.......

而家bk 改左版之後，出現左小小問題，先前在舊版時只要登入一次，下次不需要再登入，就可以見到討論區裏面都已經顯示為在線，但而家只可以在heading 見到自己個名，但在論區裏面就顯示為離線，要從新登出，再登入，先至顯示到在線，但有時又顯示番離線。真係有D莫明奇妙。

I think we have to bear with such situation for a while until BK has finished the upgrade.

I heard that the old section of threads about TSL will be deleted shortly when the upgrade is completed.
Hope all the old threads can be transferred to this new section without any loss of data.

From now on, we better chat in this new section.

I think 阿理爸爸 is correct.
Only one parent can ride on the school bus with the child.
This is the only chance you can sit on the school bus with your child so you better not to miss this chance and know how the school bus goes in your route.
The other parent can go to school directly to join you.
After the talk, I think both parents can go up to the classroom to take photos with their children.

2) I bet all these 4 videos are specially made for entertaining all the new parents!!!

3) Miss V Chan can sing very well.
But unfortunately she will be ………………......................

4) I expect an updated class list with class teachers' names to be uploaded on the school website by tomorrow.
If not, we can only know this on Sep 1st.

In that case, you should highly praise your son as he is such a flexible and multi-talented boy and can behave very differently in front of different people/circumstances!!!

Please do not use such adjective on yourself.

As your husband has already applied for a day off tomorrow and if he would like to go, just let him go.
The worst case is that he can wait for you and your child in the covered playground in case only one parent will be allowed to sit for the talk due to limitation of space.
If space is not an issue, perhaps both of you can listen to the talk together.
But very likely he can join you later to go up to the classroom to take photos with your child there after the talk.

Just give it a try.

What I find is that very often the school responses to our suggestion here.

Our voices are always heard!!

Don't forget. This is an open forum that everyone can see.
However, may be that video will "re-appear" again soon following my suggestion to enlarge the screen of that video!!!

Let's see whether you will be lucky enough or not??
I think so far only TINGMUM has seen that video.

Many kids like him because he likes to make them laugh all the time.
Personally I like him, too.
Our kids are lucky to have a devoted teacher like him.

1) Sometimes, there is “homework lesson” in the last lesson.
If some pupils will join certain ECAs or school team training, they will make use of the time slot between 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. If not, the pupils can make use of that one hour to do homework in the classroom.

2) For extra school bus service, it is for limited route only.
For details, go to the school website and click “School Information” and then click “Extra School Buses”.
