Just curious, recently, the cost of textbooks becomes a great burden for parents, how about the situation  in IS?? Thanks!!

My son will be starting Australian International School in coming Feb, 2009.

The school fee will be inclusive of all text books.

I guess it would be different for different international schools?

For RC, there are no textbooks for primary school except Chinese classes. The Chinese textbooks+exercise books cost ~$300 per set for the whole year. For secondary school, each year level are different, for Year 7 and 8 this year, the book fees are under $1500. I think as a student goes up to more senior levels, the books would be more expensive.

Comparable, textbooks are not a great big burden to us. Our textbooks are textbooks used in some western countries, and the publishers seldom reprint the textbooks as often, and students might be able to buy second hand books from the school book shop.
