大致上，俾我感覺呢間學校透明度好高，校長及老師都好隨和、有耐性及細心。呢d係8月30日家長會俾我既感覺。
上網睇左班相，八卦睇下人數，得到結果如下:
A班 男19 女16 =35人
B班 男18 女14 =32人
C班 男19 女14 =33人
D班 男18 女15 =33人
E班 男17 女17 =34人

全級總數: 167人
我認為整班排位排得最整齊係D班，呢班老師可能較為細心及喜歡秩序井然。
另亦睇左佢地既校園生活照，見到有個男學生在不知畫畫或寫字時，頭枕在手臂上，真係好寫實既生活照，小朋友剛剛上小一，總會有d未習慣。

我女兒讀1A.when she come back home. very tired. For me , first week have 四様 功課. look little bit more. But that is simple homework.

My son had 3 yesterday but he finished 2 at school, only left penmanship to do at home. He tried to complete everything quickly so that he can have his free-time........i.e. playing toys, watching TV and DVD! Of course, quality suffers as a result!

Why all you know school bag overweight? I don't know. I check with school web , other class handbook said : Tomorrow messaure school bag. But I don't get any note right now. Do you mean school bag ok?

if your kid's school bag is over-weight(my son said the limit is 3 kg), you will receive a note saying it need to be weighed again next day, I guess yours are ok.
I always check my son's homework and handbook, my son sleeps at 9:30pm and gets up at 7:00am

冇通告架，我女1E班有寫係手冊上，網上都有寫出黎磅書包。
我女個書包係10，但佢冇講單位，我相信係10磅掛，佢話僅僅合格。
你可能要工作比較夜番到屋企，我大約最遲7點番到屋企，會即睇佢手冊+上網對，會跟住同佢做功課。我女好慢，只有小部份係學校做左，我星期一真係嚇一跳，佢一做做4頁「寫字樂園」，佢上顏色上到手都攰，係咁搖隻手。好彩之後呢幾日都唔算多。
我希望學校唔好進行將功課貼上網只得一個月，好多學校都係整整一年級都會放上網俾家長睇。阿女今日漏寫中文科功課，好彩上網睇得番咋。

年年小一將功課放上網都係維持1個月左右, 因為學校唔想小朋友及家長太依賴, 之後就要靠小朋友自己將手冊抄好. 最緊要係同幾位同班家長交換電話, 每次有問題都可以問清楚.

佢仲叫我買粉筆，但又冇講點用，淨係話老師話要，所以都冇理佢，心諗老師冇理由要同學帶粉筆俾佢既。上完視藝課先知係美術用，拿拿臨走去買，俾佢催到我失魂，但佢下個星期中先有視藝課咋喎。

How long does it take for your girl to finish her homework this weekend? My son took about 2 hours!

我地俾左錢架勒?我有俾錢架喎，咁真係俾阿女激死，仲叫我買。
今個星期非常之多功課，中文又多又深: 俾成16個字詞，要佢分類寫出時間、人物、地點、事情，再跟住用呢四原素去作四句，最深係遊戲，另要寫10行生字。英文冇功課，數、常都適中，我叫阿女分段做功課，我諗用左總共都有兩個鐘。
佢地學校中文深呀!(比起我兩個仔上果兩間不同學校既小一) 好驚嚇怕左佢，扼殺左阿女中文學習興趣。

We are not going to the swimming gala too. I have double-checked with the teacher that we don't need to go to school this Friday.
We also found their Chinese subject very difficult, my son didn't understand most of his teacher's instructions because he still can't pick up Mandarin very well. His English is fine, however I think Maths are going too fast too.

--Starting school nearly 3 weeks, my daughter come back still very tired. She is no mood make homework. Sometime good , sometime cry.
If ask her play, she like and happy.. 比她激死.
--I feel 好多工課. when she is in K1-K3, her school like a honey moon. No 工課, no dictation.
So now, for she is so 辛苦的.
--in 視藝 course. I am only give her bring 硬的 poster. 容易 put in bag.

今日收到水運會場刊，攪到我搲哂頭，唔去都有，比較少有。
我對學校全用普通話上中文課有保留，我傾向於1至3年級用廣州話授中文課，另再設普通話課程專授併音及同時以趣味一點手法去授普通話，例如教普通話兒歌、詩..等等。讓小朋友有廣州話既根底，另外又可以生動方式打好普通話基礎來，因為香港本地話始終係廣州話，豈碼應以廣州話在小朋友小腦袋裡首先建立一定字庫。
升上小四，中文課用普通話上課就會事半功倍，好過依家一來學習中文科就以普通話學習，而平時又以廣州話對話，小朋友語言配對字詞方面會有混亂。不過我呢個睇法未必能為家長接受，現今太標榜普通話授中文課既好處勒。
我阿女英文講唔大問題，但串字暫時都係麻麻，英文課程唔算好深，貼現小一英語課程。
數學對阿黎講唔算好深，阿女讀幼稚園都有學過類似加減概念。

以我記憶就冇得買 & 其實都可以唔用, 膠吊牌係印有學生姓名 和班級, 主要比老師, 工作人員和風紀睇, 如你真想再要就叫小朋友問下老師, 睇會否再派 or 買.

唔駛擔小朋友聽唔明普通話, 過多幾個月, 佢地會慢慢適應, 我地一班家長都好慶幸學校一早推行普通話教學, 比起好多學校現在先推行, 我地已經行快左好多年.
小朋友用慣普通話, 在寫作上文字運用都好有得益, 俾少少時間, 你就可以見到成果.

my son is also 'one big cloud', I have to check the school's web-site everyday for his homework, it's good that we meet up here so we can share information and experiences.
My son told me he was 'punished' for being playful in class yesterday, the punishment was 'stand up' for a while, from the way he told me, I can tell he actually quite enjoyed being 'punished' because he has never experienced it in kindergarten!

my son said one boy hitted his own best friend and got punished, may be it's that boy, my son didn't understand why did they fight, he said, hitting is not good, hitting your own friend is 'double' no good!
But according to him, quite a lot of boys have to 'stand up' yesterday!

Personally I also think using Mandarin as a medium to teach Chinese is better in long run, the only problem is I am not good at Mandarin, so I can't help my son much.
Just happened today I had breakfast with other La Salle moms, we compared books and progress, seemed Chinese and Maths of 2 schools are same level, but their English is a lot harder. They started having both Chinese and English dictations already, and in my opinion their English Vocabs are too difficult for P.1, just hope our school will not start dictations too soon!

我完全唔擔心小朋友聽唔明普通話，只係我覺得依家以佢地既小腦袋要首先認字，再記讀音，我最擔心係將來以廣州話讀出黎要佢默，唔識默啫，普通話某d字既音與廣州話係完全唔同，例如開心、慶...。
文字運用毫無疑問，普遍黎講以普通話學習會比廣州話優勝，但有機會別字情況會較多，因為普通話之聲韻較廣州話為少，同音字情況更多。唉!總之一得必有失，世事兩全其美較難得。

對於普通話之我見，已寫於下面回覆必必，不再重複。
油天唔同喇沙呢類型學校，我識個媽咪，佢話佢個朋友個仔入左喇沙一年班，今個中秋假期完全冇出街，日日係屋企溫書，一番學有勁多默書。初起步已經俾書本捆死，讀書路長漫漫，揠苗助長非一件好事，成功感難求，挫敗感在前，讀書成苦，何必呢?!
而且呢間學校平均分如果唔夠理想，頻頻見家長，暗示小朋友要轉校，有拔尖冇補底，補底責任留俾家長。
我睇過女拔萃既測驗卷，英文非常之深，數學雖則係英數，但程度比較淺，以我仔間學校比;中文程度就差唔多。新小拔仲好笑，朋友講佢個仔小二要默5個生字，其中有兩個連我都唔識。5個中，我現在只記得一個"compromise"，我中四讀西史學既字，係小二已經要默，艱深就係好?見仁見智。我寧取循序漸進，由淺入深穩步上，唔係唔催谷，成長有時、讀書有時、催谷一樣有時。

I also don't like too difficult curriculum, don't think my son can handle it anyway.
But I am a bit disappointed of the limited choice of our after school activities, I just can't find anything suitable for my son. I think they should have table-tennis, basketball or soccer for P.1 too. Although my son can join outside courses but it would be nice if he can play with his school-mates and make more friends.

好明白你心情，運動方面真係被校園細少而鎖緊，實在可惜，始終學校可以舉辦到你所講既活動，係好好多，呢一方面確係缺點。

一, 二年級係冇咩課外活動玩, table-tennis 要4年級, basketball 得女子組 and soccer 要3年級, 田徑都好似是3年級, 咩基督小先鋒, 童軍都是3年級開始, 唯一游泳有得參加, 但限一地點, 未必就腳.

Just got have Math Exam 課(1-10). Date: 9OCT, how to perpare will be better. I think my daughter must missing something when she is in exam. Now starting perpare any hence and good experience share?
Is it repeat to do excerise?

My son can copy almost everything in his handbook, the only problem is I don't understand what he wrote, about 50% guess work.
His class will have Chinese Dictation next week, according to my son's handbook(his version), the scope is 5 chapters, I hope it is just a misunderstanding!

Math :9Oct test chapter 1-10.
She write down in handbook, look ok la. Understand but words very 醜.
I am starting worry, cause Chinese dict only have 5 days ,but have 4 chapters. more unknown.

Same here, I couldn't figure out one of the homework he wrote, and he has no clue too. So we just took it easy and skipped that......so do you know the scope of your girl's dictation? Just vocabs or whole passages? I hope it's just vocabs....it's too difficult really

I was told by a P.2 parent that there is no school in the morning on sport's day.

佢地中默呢個形式係想小朋友識得運用字詞，都幾好吖。
今日派左份中文測驗模擬卷，真精彩! 非常之多及深，呢份卷程度係小二甚或小三，如果照此形式出卷，有不供詞填充，對小一黎講，好難，仲有標點符號、改寫句、重組句子、擴張句子、造句...，哈哈，以佢呢個年齡，識答哂可以跳班上小二囉。
仲有一個問題，我相信老師會讀俾佢地聽，究竟老師會以普通話講定係廣州話講呢?我以普通話讀出題目，我女唔明答唔到，但換了以廣州話讀，佢就識填，普通話授課，嘿嘿!救命!

May be I can share what I know as I have helped at lunch time in school for a week, the flow for P.1 and P.2 are like that:
when the lunch bell rings, the worker will put food on the tray with the lid on, then place them on the table in order(table 1, 2...etc), when the kids come up and sit in sequence, the worker will take the lid off.
Sometimes if the kids are late for some reasons, there is a chance that the food may be cool down a bit even with the lid on. But it doesn't happen often.
In my opinion, the school is really doing a great job, the flows are in good order, they have lots of spare food so kids can have extra(second or third rounds), they provide soups at least twice a week, you will be surprised that lots of kids love soup and keep getting refills. Of course, the down side is there are lots of spills and the workers have to keep mopping floor and wiping tables. But they don't mind doing this hard work.
Overall, their food are good, but there is always a trade off between healthy food and yummy food, I think the school and the food provider are trying their best to get a balance on that.
I also think it's an excellent idea to have parent helpers there, not only we can understand more about the process, we can also observe our kid's behaviour at school. I lost my voice during that week because I kept telling the kids....please eat a little bit more, please try, you will be hungry very quickly, won't you like more vegetable too? want more food? want more soup?...........oh you don't like beef? I have extra pork here......ha ha, it's like I have 1,000 more kids.

I let my son try that mock paper this morning, he can't even complete 2/3 of that........my son also has a hard time adjusting Cantonese to Mandarin, so like what you said, if they read out the question in Mandarin, it wouldn't help much.
If the test paper is similar to the mock paper, I don't think my son stand any chance to pass at all!
