What age is suitable to study overseas?

I finished Form 7 in HK before attending university in the U.S. In retrospect, I would have considered studying there after finishing Form 3. That way, one would have an easier transition to the American culture and integrate better into their education system, which together translate into a better odd of success later in one's career.

Anytime is suitable to study overseas. Of course generally the earlier it is the better, and the greater the benefit you will get. There are many foreign students studying in Australia/England (I imagine it is the same in the US etc) that are in their 30's and even older.

However it is difficult for overseas students to get local jobs, should they decide to stay, but some are lucky (I was) and get as good a job as they would have in Hong Kong, but most probably get lower level jobs than they would manage to get back in Hong Kong, unfortunately.
