我個細女係後補入下午班, 星期二辦註冊時, 老師話 14/6(六)早上家長會, 我諗大約9:30am, 因為我個細女面試時第一組個時間係9:30am. 我地早o左去到,有d老師才陸陸續續返到學校.

雖然好似言之尚早,
但係出年k1都差不多開始報名了~~

nursery 我都已經in了7-8間,
真係好頭痛+煩惱,
原先打算讀一問近屋企的, 出年k1先再轉心儀的....
最後這間收了, 又知道這間己算不錯的一間學校
都想讀晒4年唔使煩~~
但又怕錯過更出名的學校

Not really tailor-made, they will give you different size for selection. You can order it at once and pick up in August. Or buy in August (on the distribution day).

校服可以唔係學校買，可以去北角馬寶道的兩間校服舖頭買，我覺得質地好過學校賣嗰d，尤其係冬天校服，同埋價錢平d。

Currently, I take my daughter to school by myself, I took taxi for the first six months. A lot of taxi driver's attitude is really bad .... some of them see the uniform of my daughter, then drive away. (He stopped in front of me cos I probably blocked my daughter, when I tried to reach the door, he drove away.). Some even said I will drop you off at Kin Wah Street once I get on the taxi. For the past 6 months, only 3 drivers dropped me off at the top of the road ..... That's enough for me, we go to school by MTR now, but it is terrible during raining day.

My husband think it may be better for us to bring our daughter to school ourselves for the first year, while we also has the same concern such as in case of bad weather and the place to get off, so we think we may try to bring her to school ourselves for the first term and see what happened then. If she's OK, then we may take the school bus in the second term.

Glad to hear that you have a daughter going to K1 this year. Do you know how high will be the chance that they can be promoted to K1 as we still need to apply for K1? I'm so nervous about this.

The school staff just told me that they don't have such statistics and I just don't have any idea for other K1 at the moment. Did you also applied for other K1 last year?

They said they will put the photos on the board for the students wor..I think just for the children to get familiar with each other. Can be a photo of the child alone or with someone else.

For the max amount for autopay, I leave it blank and will ask the staff tomorrow.

Hi Lingling,

A book list was distributed this morning. You can buy the books from Jing Kung in CWB (near Wong Yan College). They would cost a total of $149. I bought 3 of them only. 2 of them are still out of stock. but no worry.

The school starts on 1st Sept but the first week's lessons would be about one and a half hour. During the first 3 days in the first "orientation" week, ONE caretaker would be allowed to accompany the child. In the last 2 days in the orientation week, the lessons for each day would also last for about one and a half hour but no caretakers would be allowed. Children would be on their own.

The photos were given to teachers to make alot of things like caretaker's pass (you need to show it when you take your kid after school), seat plan, etc etc.

When kids go to school and leave on time, they should go to the Kin Wah Street entrance. However, late comers would need to enter/ leave through the Ching Wah Street entrance.

We were asked to buy school bags at school this morning at the cost of 50. it is very nice. i love it.

I bought a set of uniforms this morning but would need more for sure. the basic necessary uniforms include the normal white uniform (wear on mon, wed and fri), PE clothings (wear on tue and thur) and a white cardigan. They cost me 201 in total and would be collected in August.

A school tour was arranged for parents this morning. This school is really big no kidding.

The meeting was conducted bilingual because there were alot of non-Chinese speaking parents.

I have visited quite a lot of nurseries in Hong Kong including those renown ones. Compatively, KCS makes me feel very comfortable because the parents look less aggressive and teachers look caring.

Note: there would be no automatic promotion at any stage. i.e. no automatic promotion to K1 or to primary school.

頂級美人 has given a detailed report here. that's really helpful of her. I would suggest that you get the folder from the school later when your son is fine. The folder includes a detailed note of reminder for parents. After you read it, you will get the detailed information and won't miss anything important.

我覺得昨日的安排幾亂, d老師好似唔知個流程, 2個英文老師,一個好似未瞓醒, 一個好似唔知自己有份講野態度好cool, 好似臨時拉俘.至於參觀校舍分3隊: 英語, 普通話, 廣東話. 我跟普通話老師,老師沒有及顧及較後的家長. 印象麻麻地.

媬姆車有位舒太一早就係學校前派紙,另外, 有一部媬姆車貼住姓吳先生的聯絡電話, 有無人知邊個好d?

不過我同老公都諗頭幾個月由菲傭接送,睇o下個女個情況,先安排坐媬姆車.

幼兒園無分local班同國際班架喎, 要到k1先有
我有朋友係幼稚園讀到上小學畢業
佢而家成30幾歲, 佢話因為蘇淅, 普通話對佢黎講都差不多是母語
但有家人的朋友比子女讀國際班, 但因為大free
後來轉番入local班....
不過如果當初選int'l school 都要預咗係free架啦

我記得我個女interview n1 個時的情形, 希望幫到你:

1. 報名表好似9月到出, 10月就interview, 你可以留意吓kcs個website 或call去school到問吓, 可以download form.
2. interview之前,老師會問你用普通話定用英文, 咁我係bb kingdom d mami 話用普通話條queue就長d, 用英文問d queue 就短d, 咁其實2種language我都ok, 就用英文, 因唔洗我個女等咁耐.
3. 咁in時, 老師比一本書小朋友睇, 等佢自己read book, 之後就問佢"which one is the teddy bear?" 要小朋友指出人物或物件.
4. 之後, 又比4-5粒積木, 由老師做1次砌積木,睇吓小朋友識唔識砌.
5. 又比3種水果 (apple, orange, banana), 老師就叫小朋友"please give an apple to mami", 睇吓小朋友識唔識d水果名,同follow 指示做.
6. 又比1box crayons, 叫小朋友取1枝crayon.
7. 之後叫小朋友自己玩玩具, 老師在旁observe.
8. 最後,比糖小朋友,自己取, 老師就會留意小朋友有冇response, e.g. say thankyou 之類...

其實,我覺得都幾多嘢test 個小朋友, 成個過程就10-15min, 我地等了20min左右. 不過,佢地又唔係睇interview個result得咁緊要, 可能收生多啦. 我估最緊要小朋友要有feedback, 同唔好怕陌生人. 唔知同其他mami用普通話in有冇唔同.

They have Cantonese interview as well. The process is similar, if you won't want to wait, try to arrange the interview around 9am or before.

I only wait for 5 mins for the interview.

My son was 16 months when he attended the interview. He didn't say a word during the interview. Luckily, his sister was studying at KCS to gain additional mark.

But his sister could do all the things requested by the teacher during the interview, she was 1 yr 9 months by that time. I think the important thing is ... don't be shame and willing to give response to the interviewer. Parents played an very important role during the interview.

你都唁洗worry太多, 只要小朋友唔cry, 又有反應, 唔識講野係唔太重要, 其實我個b interview個時係只有14個月(因為佢係8月出細, 係細細b), 之前就train佢唔怕陌生人, 同埋學會用手比response(因仲未懂講野), 同埋, 老師用英文問, 若我見我個b有d 唔似太明, 就細細聲用廣東話叫我個b做老師問的野, 不過老師都冇理, 我估佢都understand的, 因為小朋友實在太細了...

N1報名表應該9月先出架wor..

大班定小班我反而覺得冇緊要,最緊要有好老師同囡囡鍾意返學.

你地d小朋友"chi"唔"chi"你地家?我果個勁"chi". 本來想趁呢個summer訓練下個囡獨立ｄ，9 月返學會順利d, 所以幫佢報咗２個禮拜summer course, 要佢自己上，　點知過咗第一個禮拜得第一日同第二日半堂可以自己上, 其他時間喊到豬頭咁, 要我一齊入去...
