i want my daughter to go to school by school bus (around 25 mins), but my husband said it is too dangerous cos she is still young. That's why i come here ask for more data to show my husband!

May i know how old is you daughter?
my 3 kids(aged 9, 7 and 5) are studying in 3 different schools and they need to take a very long time to travel to school(45mins-1hr).

they did throw up in the school bus at the beginning.. but they have adapted it now!
They love going to school by school bus

to me, there are couple key points for kids to travel by school bus

1. must have seat belts
2. must have a school bus nanny
3. the nanny must be caring (e/g they will give my son a cushion when he asleep)
4. make sure your kid have a jacket in the school bus

My daughter is 4 years old, i have no idea in which the school bus got nanny or seat belt, i will go and check it out.

aloymom,

your child have to take 45mins school bus everyday? can u tell me from where to where? is the schoolbus need to drive in highways?

Don't worry! most ISs' school buses got seat belts (As far as I know, CIS, HKIS and CDNIS' minibuses do have seat belts.)

My eldest one (9yrs old): from Consort Rise (Pok Fu Lam) to Kowloon Tong: nearly an hour
2nd girl (7yrs old): Pok Fu Lam to Braemar Hill: 40-50mins
3rd boy(5yrs old): Pok Fu Lam to Repulse Bay: 50mins

The trips take so long because of other pickups and congestion at school...
If we drive 5-year-old boy to school, it only takes 30mins!

my daughter is studying in HLYIS, i m so worry about my daughter cos it is a new environment for her as she just study there in this week, everything is new for her and she miss all her old friends in her last kindergarten, it is a hard time for her. I m a bit upset too as she always said don't want to go to the new school but want to go back to the old one......

don't worry! kids can adapt to new environment very quickly!

my 2nd girl just changed school in this academic year...
she adapted the new environment after making some new frds
and she still keeps contact with her old friends..
BUT she complained that she couldnt understand a single word in Chinese lesson..

my 3rd boy started school last year..
HE CRIED LIKE HELL at the beginning of the school term(well, till last Dec)
We did talk to his homeroom teacher, and his homeroom was so helpful..
she spent so much time in counseling my boy
Try to approach your daughter's homeroom teatcher, i'm sure they will help you
