請問宣道會劉平齋學校好不好?

My son is studying at CAIS and he loves the school so much. He tells me that he wants to study at CAIS up to G12.

I like the school as well. The principal and teachers are very nice and the class size is about 20. My son has quite a lot of field trips although he is at G1. I find he learns very quick even he doesn't have much homework.

Thanks leegbd.  I am glad to know that your son loves the school.  My daughter has just been accepted to the K3 class this September.  I remember after the interview the principal, Ms. Reeves, showed us around the campus & held my daughter's hand all along the way.  She is a very nice person and we were impressed.

My daughter has also got accepted by RC.  We are still deciding which one to choose.

I know that CAIS also teaches Mandarin.  Do they use simplified chinese or traditional chinese?

Mandarin is optional, you can also choose French. For Mandarin class, they are taught simplified Chinese.

They don't say anything about the application deadline in their website. In our case, we applied at the beginning of the K2 school year (i.e., in Sept 2007). You may want to send them an email to ask them.

I'm really concern the University acceptances of their graduates. I've visited their website and notice that most of the students go to Canadian Universities, are these Universities good?

I assume that the chances of getting accepted by local universities (like HKU) are the same for CAIS and other ESF students. Is that right? Does anyone have any idea?

I believe CAIS is a very good school, except that I don't quite like the fact that they use simplified chinese.

Actually, most of the international school teaches simplified Chinese, and I trust it is more popular than traditional chinese nowadays.

My son studied in CAIS since K3 and left after Grade 5 as we have left Hong Kong, we re-applied Grade 8 for him in April, and luckily he was accepted for the coming academic year.

if you have a concern about simplified chinese you can talk to the teacher and she will accomodate you. I did the same request for my child. i want my child to learn "real" not simplied, so just tell her your concern and most likely they will help you out.
