Yes, lots of graduates from Li Po Chun can successfully apply scholarships and study in very top universities in the US or UK

LPC is an international school and is one of the United World Colleges. They have lots of students from other countries, and have students from international schools in Hong Kong.

Five students from LPC United World College scored 44 or above in IBDP exam last year. This was the 2nd highest number of perfect scores in the world, second only to Sevenoaks in Kent. However, on average, CIS students did better. They scored an average socre of 36, compared to LPC's 32.9. FIS's and SC's students also did very well, with five out of 15 students scoring 40 or above, and 22% of the 78 students scoring over 40 respectively. Well done HK students. I am proud of them all.

Most of LPC's HK student are from local elite schools, not international schools.

I don't think LPC's average IB score is so low. You better check again.

I copied these figures from "Living in HK", a publication by the American Chamber of Commerce (Chapter 14, p.223), which I happened to have with me when I submitted my earlier post. I cross-checked the figures after reading your post. Yes, you are correct. LPC's students did better than that. The average score was 36.68 in 2007 (HK students scored 39.04, whilst overseas students scored 35.07). Thanks for pointing out the mistake.
