Can anyone tell what is flash card?

I learn from some mami that flash card is to show and speak the word in from a baby. Is the action need to be fast? If so, what is a flash card machine? Can it speak the word itself?

flash card其實係啲硬厚咭紙,喺紙上面可以係中文字,英文字或者係圖案之類,你揸住張咭讀一次俾bb聽,係一秒睇一張,我睇書就話可以一次睇一組五張咭,一日睇三次(e.g早午晚)大概一星期就加多一組五張,如是這一個月就睇咗四組二十張,你到時可以試下問佢呢張係咩嗰張係咩咁....我其實都係初哥嚟,剛剛試咗三星期,仔仔都識講返俾我聽張咭係咩,你可以慢慢試下,不過記住bb耐性有限,佢唔想睇時都唔可以迫,所以我次次睇都係不過三分鐘,玩咗兩星期左右佢先開始有興趣玩耐少少,甚至攞張未睇過嘅咭要我讀俾佢聽,希望我可以幫到你啦

都可以嘅,不過我覺得分開好啲囉,因會俾佢睇得專注啲,我而家就俾佢學睇圖先,個字就係咭背面,咁我俾佢睇時我都知呢張係咩,唔駛擰嚟擰去
