早排,有幸跟過your baby can read的發研人- DR. Tizer學習
學完之後, 發覺原來" YOUR BABY CAN READ"的字咭用法並不是和一般閃字咭用法一樣. 並唔係比佢睇, 睇完識讀就算

原來字咭有好多玩法, 又可以利用字咭教BB拼揞同TENSE喎!

好神奇, 我BB都係跟足dr的教法去用架

如果大家係用教材時, 有咩唔明, 可以一齊share下, 或者我可以幫到你.

當BB懂得讀字時, 大家都好開心, 但如果想知道, bb係咪真係明白文字既意思, 大家可以試下呢個方法:

取出兩張bb看過的字，例如 ‘clap’ 及 ‘wave’
問bb：「你覺得哪個字讀 ‘clap’’?」
假如bb指著 ‘wave’ 一字，你就話：「呢字讀 ‘wave’ [指著那個字]，那個字才讀 ‘clap’ [將孩子的注意力轉向正確的字]」。
指著字的時候，你亦可以拍手或揮手以表達文。
試用不同的字多做幾次。
事先要想好將會用的字。
建議看看房間四周去取靈感。咁就可以同時借物傳意。
不要忘記上述遊戲不乏趣味，而遊戲目的是要教孩子多點留意
文字，以及其發音規律。

我bb現9個月大,由6個月開始睇,現剛開始睇volume2, 一日睇一次,好小同佢玩字咭,我唔知究竟佢吸收左幾多,繼續咁睇有用嗎?

no need to worry, you BB is absorbing just cannot tell you coz he does not know how to say it yet. My BB started o use this at Month 2. He recognised the pictures first. If you want to test him, you can first show the pic and ask him to "touch" the gorilla, apple, dog..........he will show you. After he can talk, you will see the results. My son started to talk at Month 8 and recognised many objects. He started to recognise and say some words at Month 12. But remember to follow the guide and sequences and duration of showing DVDs.

今朝我第一次俾兩張字咭俾bb揀, 唔知係咪撞彩佢揀得啱喎! 好興奮呀~~但我仲係半信半疑, 聽朝再試過先!

I bought GC, but BB did not like it. Quite boring.

You may buy some CDs for playing songs as a kind of Brain Washing, very useful.

Also you can post the words on the wall at BB's eye level.

I also play some ABC word cards with "real pictures" of the stuffs i.e. real apple (not animation). You can see the result by asking him to give you this and give you that in may be just one week's time.

昨晚幾攪野,同阿仔玩Your baby can read字卡,佢識果D字就無問題(最驚訝係見到Hippopotamus佢識講Hippo),但當佢見到一張唔識既字卡(Walking)竟然扮識好認真咁說"GongXi"(因為我地教佢新年講GongXi(恭喜))吹脹

Tips 3

請大家要留要, Your Baby Can Read的字卡設計, 和坊間上的flash card 是不同的, 並不是用很快的方法轉給bb睇,DR Titzer的字卡是要小朋友完全懂得讀之餘亦要懂得文字背後的意思

除了tip1 & tip2的方法, 當bb已學懂大約50個生字時, 你亦可以利用字卡教導bb發音:

1)
用讀音與串法相近的字卡。例如 ‘hat’, ‘cat’, ‘bat’, ‘hats’, 然後指著字讀出來。之後你可以寫下 ‘that’這個字，叫小孩嘗試讀。同樣道理，你可以用其他很多組發音與串法相近的字，包括‘ow’ 做尾的字 (如 bow,yellow,blot, elbow) 和 ‘an’ 做尾的字 (如ban, can, an, Dan, fan )。如此類推。

這樣做法, 可以令bb好自然地掌握英文發音

請留意, 當你用字卡時, 要用手指著文字, 由左到右, 慢慢讀給bb聽, 不應著重讀的快.

如果你地唔係用緊your baby Can read的字卡, 但又想在外面買字卡的話, 請留意以下tip

1,請不要用一些文字和圖片印在一起的字卡, 因為bb的視覺仲未能把文字和圖分開睇, bb會以為是同一映像.

2 最好用一些用不同字體和顏色的字卡, 這有助bb, 將來掌握文字
3 紙張, 不要太大, 亦不應太細, 要好大約30cm內
4 每張字卡的背面最好一樣, 這有助和bb玩對對碰遊戲

係時候比tip4 你地啦

幼兒學習外語的能力比成年人強得多。最新的研究顯示，十一歲以後才學習外語的兒童，腦部會有兩個截然不同的語言區域— 一個負責處理母語，另一個負責外語。而四歲以前已開始學習外語的兒童，腦部會有一個較大的區域同時處理母語與外語的應用。即是在初生後數年便接觸外語技巧的孩子，比在較後階段才學習外語的小孩更易掌握外語的竅門。

以下是一個幫助的建議：

假若你或你的伴侶能說流利的外語，你們當中應一人用母語、另一人用外語與孩子溝通。以一種語言完整說完一段話(廣東話、英語、普通話或其他你要孩子學習的語言)後，用外語多說一遍。

請你不要一句話同時夾雜幾種語言，否則bb會覺得混亂。

6 months old will be the suitable time for your baby, cos their eyes have already finished the development. But please remember that, you have to let your baby be focused, I will suggest you if you have start to use this materials, don't mix up with others products, otherwise your baby will confused.

honest speaking I got in from HK at high cost, but it's ok for me, as I found it works so that's worth for me.

My girl is now 23 months old,
and she started to use "your baby can
read" about 3 months ago.
She likes it so much and she asks for
watching the VCD every morning.
I'm so appreciated that she had learnt so
much from it.
She used to be very cool in front of
strangers but now she waves "hi" to
uncles and aunties that she haven't met.
She said she wave hi just like Aleka,

It depands on you la, the one in Yahoo, only have a few of card, so you can't play differents card game as Dr Titzer recommend, I got another one, they have arround 300 cards, so I can play many with my boy, and they have a perants guide both in English and Chinese, it helps me to teach baby also, most of the tips I posted was copy from this guide book, hee hee

My baby start to use "Your Baby can read" when she is 7 months old and after she is 18 months, we stop let her watch that video (because my doctor recomend me Not to give video to baby). I continue to use the book (because I do not have the card set as I bought the set 2 years ago).
Now, she is 26 months and seems to forget most of the word she learnt before. But one of the positive effect I think is she is interested in reading words and letters.

I am quiet interested in teaching her tenses and Phonics and it seems that it can help if I use the method as mentioned in the video but I don't know how to start, any suggestion?

兩套我都有睇過, 內容大致相同, 不過第一套 (即BB載博士帽)就連埋一套 STARTER 拉拉圖片雙面字卡, 而呢套字卡可以分開買的, 所以買邊套都無所謂. 而家係 YAHOO 有人放上去賣, 產品都幾齊, 你可以上去睇睇.

yahoo 有人賣緊, 5百幾, 你可以上去睇睇.

因為呢套教材內容較為深 (唔係幾個月可以睇得明), 所以3歲都唔遲. 大致內容如下,

* Shapes (Babies will learn geometrically-related shapes instead of the typical shapes found in most baby books.)

* Numbers (Dr. Titzer uses research from infant perception studies to help your baby learn the concept of number as well as learn to read numerals.)

* Patterns (This book teaches logic patterns using colorful photographs and words. For example, "big dog, little dog, big dog, little dog, big dog, little dog, big dog, What comes next?")

* Colors (This book teaches lighter and darker shades of colors.)

* Prepositions (Some of the most frequently used words in English are prepositions. Most babies are not specifically taught these words. Imagine how much more language your baby will understand if she or he comprehends prepositions.)

我剛買了baby can read,個consultant%話可以今日15mins ,咁我問佢咁每次重覆都是這一part 15mins or ,一直播15mins ,then 下次再延續落佢..佢話兩樣都得...咁即是點呀??有冇人答到我呀???

I have a question!!! Can somebody help!!!

I started let my boy watching the Starter since 23 June. However, he was sick on 7th July and stopped watched it for almost a week. I let him watch again from about 11/12 July...

I wonder when should I swap to Vol 1?
Should I count 1 month from 23 June OR 11/12 July???

When your baby is watching the video, wil you
1. sit with BB and elaborate on every word? like 'nose', hold BB's hand and touch his nose.
2. sit with BB but sing together with the video only
3. just let BB sit and watch without disturbing him?
